Hi everyone.  It is going to be another 80 degree, sunny day here in Georgia.  I am just back from having coffee and attending Bible study.  Pat didn't attend today as slept in this morning.  I am home for the rest of the day.  I was able to finish up the 315 games applications I processed and print out the individual reports and certificates.

Etta Sue, I wonder if the consideration in Georgia is to the Shepard Spinal Center, which is just across the street from where my daughter lives and where we often go to eat in the cafeteria?  They have a wonderful reputation and you see so many patients there with head and spine related injuries.  They have a big building next to the center for families to stay.  His parents are fortunate to work for companies who can accommodate their needs if he is transferred.

Al, great to see that you are home. Glad you have found a chair that is so comfortable and accommodates your needs and that you can get adequate rest.

Judy, hard to visualize the freezing temp when it is so warm down here and will be for the next week or so.

Janet, glad you have been invited to speak at the Rotary Club about your book.  Nice of you to make supper for your neighbors and it sounds like they really appreciate it.

Etta Sue

I got my green bracelet that states 'Praying 4 Jacob' on it.  Love it.  A great reminder to keep praying.  Larry, if Jacob goes to Atlanta, I will try to find out where and let you know.  I imagine that whatever is in our minds what Jacobs injuries are, they are much worse.

Great seeing Al posting again.  Don't you love those electric chairs?  I have my Mom chair.  I think that the day that mom got it, it was her bed from then on!  I can sleep in it but not for very long.  I like to turn every which way throughout the night!  Anyway, let's hope that you and Marbeth have many, many more nights and days together.

I was in the water at the pool for way over an hour yesterday and then met with 18 others for SAMS at Jim Dandy.  What a great bunch of people.  Love those lunches with all of them.

After that, the fur girls and I had a nice nap.  Then TV and crocheting.

Today I have told myself when the temperature gets to 65 degrees, I am going out and mow!  I have never mowed the grass in March before!!  It is a nice sunny day...not a cloud in the sky...and windy...the flag is straight out toward the southeast.  So it will be a good day to mow!  It's that season again....until October!

I feel I've had a very productive day, and that makes me happy!  8)  I have the scrapbook of letters, news clippings, etc. on the book nearly finished.  Then this afternoon, I went out and sold nine books!  :thumbsup:  I went to the hospital gift shop and they bought four; then to the museum and they bought five!!  I also went and read to Beth, taking along some spaghetti bake and deviled eggs for her supper.  She still likes Mom's cooking.  ;)

While I was with Beth, the pt girl was working with her arms and hands; then John called; then Sarah came in  to do Beth's nails.  So I got to read to not only Beth, but John and Sarah and Sarah's little girl, as well.  I hadn't made it in to see Beth yesterday as I was busy cooking most of the afternoon, so she was really happy to see me today!

It was cloudy and cool this morning, but now is really warm and sunny, I think it must be 80 or more.  I had to laugh when I went to the bank earlier; the reader board said the temp was  -25!   :o  Maybe somewhere, but not here, that's for sure!

Have a wonderful, God blessed evening, dear friends!

Hi everyone.  It is to be another day up around 80 degrees. I plan on going down to spend a little time with Stacey this morning.  I am not sure that Pat is going to be able to go as has been up all night with back spasms that started yesterday afternoon.  She has some muscle relaxants to take.  She said she got only about two hours of sleep last night but came to bed as I got up this morning.  Pat is suppose to have a dental appointment this morning if she is able to go and I will go to Walmart to get some items that Stacey needs.  Stacey still continues to suffer a lot with her hip and other problems.  Pat thinks that riding in her power chair and the jarring that goes on riding on the rough sidewalks probably is aggravating her hip.

Etta Sue, the yards here in Georgia are green and our grass usually doesn't green up until April sometime.  I could see the grass had grown as the landscape people mowed it on Monday.  It has been an unforgettable Spring for sure.

Janet, great news on your book sales and the good day you experienced yesterday.  There is nothing to compare with Mom's cooking although one doesn't tell their wives that.  :)

About time to leave for coffee.

Etta Sue

I did get the yard mowed yesterday.  It was certainly needing it.  And it was so windy.  My visor blew off.  I had to stop the mower and chase it down.  It almost blew off a couple of more times so I took it off and held it and then put it around my neck.

Later Parker came and mowed Ivalou's yard.  A neighbor man had mowed Kaye Don's lawn earlier so all of our yards look beautiful...for a few days!

Last evening was Wednesday Night Live and still studying about Joseph.  I know when I get to heaven Joseph will be on my bucket list to find and talk with.  An amazing man!

Today is a 'do nothing' day.  I need to catch up on TV shows and crochet more.  I have been kind of lazy in crocheting.  I do it but only a row or two and then put it down.  Need to get busy.  Cancer doesn't stop so I shouldn't either.

I haven't heard anything more about Jacob.  He's no better nor no worse, I assume.

Another bright and sunny day today with wispy clouds and no wind.  The flag is hanging down today.  Still a little nippy out there.  I should have worn a jacket when I went to Ivalou's earlier but I didn't.  It's only to get in the low 60's today so I am glad I mowed yesterday.  I don't like to wear a jacket when mowing....too confining!

It is still 32F here in the north.  Fire is lit and the fan is cycling.  Soon we will be warm.

Had a day in town yesterday, to lunch with a friend, then on various errands.  Dog food, cat food and finch food.....you can tell I have animals!

I had a late night, unable to sleep, I read a John Grisham book.  This is a good one!.

I am off be back tonight!

Hello everyone. I have had some computer problems lately but got it all straightened up now and it is running  fine. It took me 3 days to get it done and downloaded Firefox again and that is  running like it is supposed to.

I've been to the gym and to yoga this morning, stopped by the church to see what was going on there. The had the fellowship hall filled with garage sale stuff, boy was that place ever full, they had everything you could imagine.  I have enough "stuff" so  I didn't take anything. It was all free. They do a food giveaway every Thursday, I get some of my Organic flours there for my bread.

They called to tell me my new hearing aids were in, so we drove to Liberal to get them.  I think they should be turned down; everything is too loud!  But Darrel wanted me to wait, so I didn't go back to the office, and now am wishing I had.  He always thinks I can't hear, but my hearing is better than his!

We did get to have lunch with Mark, always a good thing!

I need to make a dessert for a meeting tonight, so can't tarry here!

I'm feeling very quiet today, so don't have much to contribute.

Hi everyone.  Well it is going to be another very nice and warm day here getting into the mid-80s.  Yesterday was a very busy day but a susccessful one.  We did visit our daughter and take care of a number of things for her.  We didn't get home until 3:30 and were beat.  Today should be much less stressful.  The lady is coming over in a few minutes and we will complete this years paperwork, including printing out a number of reports they use.  I will be glad to have this phase completed.  Then it is a matter of recording the event winners and posting photographs, which is done all along during the games and I have the forms and formats already prepared.  Then the rest of the day will be free to work on some other things or do little at all.

Etta Sue, I don't ever remember our yard turning green until
April sometime and it has already been moved and is looking very nice.  Your study of Joseph sounds interesting.

Judy, we haven't had to either heat or air condition for over two weeks and it looks like this will be another week of the same unless the humidity goes up and then the AC will go on. I have always enjoyed John Grisham books and have read most of them.

Marilyn, glad you finally got Firefox to work for you again.  Hope your computer will run like a top for you.

Janet, I am sure they will get your new hearing aids set so they are comfortable.  Nice you could have lunch with your grandson.

Ruth Ann, feeling quiet is a good thing some days.

I am so psyched!  I found a sight for Jacob on Facebook.  I read all the way back to the accident March 8th.  If you would like to follow Jacob's recovery, go to Prayers For Jacob Bolling.  I see that it is on my page but hopefully you can see it also.  If not, search on Facebook for Prayers for Jacob Bolling.

And yes, Larry.  Jacob has been accepted to Shepherds Center in Atlanta.  I do believe that is across from Stacey.  Sheree and Baxter and waiting for the okay from insurance.  Baxter works for Deem Plumbing and it is a nationwide company and can be transferred to Atlanta.  Sheree has worked in nursing homes for almost 25 years in the administrative office.  She could probably find a job also easily.

Today Ivalou is going to a foot doctor.  This isn't her bad foot, the numb one that was affected by the stroke.  But it is he bad foot that she had surgery on a few years back.  I didn't realize she was having problems with it but she looked at me as if I was crazy and said, well, it hurt even while I was in the hospital for the stroke.  So we are going today to see what can be done, if anything.  She doesn't know what will be done so I am driving her.

It rained during the night but it is sunny right now.  Cool.  47 degrees.  But the radio said that we are to have storms this afternoon.  The farmers are welcoming the rain...the ground is so dry!

Larry, you are thinking about reducing the humidity in your house and I'm trying to increase it in mine!   ;D

Etta Sue, my prayers continue for Jacob and now I'm adding Ivalou's problem with her foot as well.

After the week of summer-like weather we had, the normal temperatures now feel downright chilly.  We sure do get spoiled in a hurry.   :D

Jesus, Jesus, Jesus
There's just something about that name
Master, Saviour, Jesus
Like the fragrance after the rain
Jesus, Jesus, Jesus
Let all Heaven and Earth proclaim
Kings and kingdoms
Will all pass away
But there's something about that Name.

Well, as I thought, when I went to the appointment at the car repair place, they are keeping it to send for transmission work, and also replaced the right front passenger seatbelt.  Thank God I bought the extended repair warranty, which also includes car rental for the duration of the repair.

God is so good to prompt us to make certain decisions even when we think everything will be great.

How wonderful to listen to "There's Just Something About that Name" playing while I work. Many, many thanks for posting these beautiful hymns and songs for our times with God.

Much love to everyone,

:excited:  I got my studio cleaned!!   :cheer:  As Larry warned, I may not be able to find things for a while, but  I surely couldn't while it was such a mess!  I also finished the scrapbook about Rising Above; went to lunch;  took lunch to my favorite doctor (chiropractor); went to visit Beth, read to her; took lunch to my friend who is doing dialysis and her husband, visited with them a little while; gave Paula a back rub, and now here I am!!  Feeling sleepy now, though. :sleepy:

Etta Sue, nice that you now can follow Jacob's progress, and I pray he will start showing significant improvement, and God will raise him up, whole again!

Ruth Ann, soon you and Josie will be back in business, good as new!  :thumbsup:

Larry, the work on the games sounds like such a lot, so nice of you to do all of that!

See you later!

Heading out with John, had a great evening yesterday, looks like another great day today.

As Always we need guidance in what we say and do thus this hymn.

Guide Me, O Thou Great Jehovah
(Click to hear music)

Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel,
and afterward receive me to glory.
Psalm 73:24

Guide me, O Thou great Jehovah,
Pilgrim thro' this barren land;
I am weak, but Thou art mighty;
Hold me with Thy pow'rful hand;
Bread of heaven, Bread of heaven,
Feed me till I want no more,
Feed me till I want no more.

Open now the crystal fountain,
Whence the healing stream doth flow;
Let the fire and cloudy pillar
Lead me all my journey through;
Strong Deliv'rer, strong Deliv'rer,
Be Thou still my strength and shield,
Be Thou still my strength and shield.

When I tread the verge of Jordan,
Bid my anxious fears subside;
Death of death, and hell's destruction,
Land me safe on Canaan's side;
Songs of praises, songs of praises
I will ever give to Thee,
I will ever give to Thee.

Al Moak

Thanks for that great hymn, Judy.  We used to sing that one often in our old church in San Jose.  Oh that we may always know His leading and His acceptance of us in His Son!

I'm getting along pretty well here at home, with lots of visits from the home health people.  I'm thankful that Marbeth doesn't have to drive to the care center every day now.  May our Lord move me and lead me to serve Him every day.

Jeanne Lee

Another wonderful old hymn, Judy.  It's a  great reminder that I need always to be open to His leading.

I found another website for Jacob on Caring Bridge.  I was wondering why I hadn't been told about these sites when I realized that I haven't been in direct contact with anyone and those who contact Ivalou knows she doesn't have a computer!   So God pointed me to them!  Caring Bridge is wrote by those in the know and not as much reading.

Last word is that Jacob, Baxter and Sheree are heading to Atlanta Tuesday at 6am.  I did find out that he has no broken bones and he looks just like Jacob except he has a weird haircut due to the surgery to remove part of the skull for swelling.  He has no stitches or staples now.  He is opening both of his eyes and moving all of his limbs...arms and hands toward his face.  They know he hears them because that's when he becomes active.  He is breathing on his own an hour at a time.  Nothing more has been said about the pneumonia or the contagious disease but I feel that is gone since they are willing to transport him to Atlanta.  Also they have sold 250 bracelets at $5 each and just received 250 more.  This is to help pay for his transport to Atlanta.

I was thinking this morning that we have an awesome God and wouldn't it be awesome for God to heal Jacob in time for his High School Graduation?  Jacob is an Honor Student, an Eagle Scout, in the Marching Band and plays drums in the Praise Band at his church.

Ivalou.  Well, she got a cortizone shot between two toes and insoles to wear in her shoes.  She has a very high arch which put all her weight on the toe end off her foot.  He said her foot was inflamed and she was to wear these shoes with the insoles all the time except while sleeping.  She is to go back in two weeks.  I noticed afterwards when we went into a restaurant and into Deals that she was walking great!!  Not wobbly at all!  Praise God....now why didn't she go sooner?

Laundry today and other piddly stuff.  I am going to make Microwave Caramel Corn for the snack for Small Groups tomorrow evening.  That should be good!

Edit:  Marilyn, I am praying for John as I am typing.

Do you realize that ¼ of 2012 is in the past??

My plans for the day are washing a couple of floors,  dusting and vaccum.  Also I have a rice pudding with raisins on the go so that will be lovely for desert this evening.

Mel has been out side sanding a door for our son being old it is heavy and Mel needs some help putting it on a stand to work on needless to say that was my first feel of the cool fresh day.

Hi everyone.  I am going to be brief today as it is already afternoon and we may have to go downtown to the hospital.  Stacey called earlier this morning from the hospital ER saying the pain in her hip had become unbearable and she couldn't stand to put any weight on it.  She just now called back saying they found that she had a broken hip, which had occurred about 3 weeks ago the day before she last was admitted to the hospital for the pacemaker.  She said they appear to be getting her ready for surgery to fix it.  No wonder she has had so much problem with it.  The other hospital had supposedly taken an x-ray and didn't find the break but the x-ray this morning showed it.  Once again your prayers for her are desired and certainly needed.

Etta Sue, Shepard Spinal Center is a premier and wonderful place.  I am glad he has been accepted there.

Marilyn, we did get a nice rain all night.  It is still overcast but nice and warm.

Ruth Ann Bice

Larry, my mom was head of a hospital's x-ray department, and she said sometimes a break does not show up in first x-rays, but will when the new calcium filled bone that's trying to knit together will reveal the break. Thank God, it's found and she's now being treated.

I've had enough bone breaks to be able to empathize.

Etta Sue, I understand about those shoes and insoles really making a difference. For me, it meant that the doctor literally saved my feet from amputation! I now own only 1 pair of shoes at a time - the Rx ones, and always have the custom made insoles in them as well. To me, health and safety far outweigh fashion. :)

Well, tiredness has taken over my day, so I'm functioning on maybe 1/2 strength.  :o At least, if the strength returns, it will be a wonderful day in the Lord's House tomorrow. If not, then I'll worship at home - He's always with us day and night - how comforting that is to me.

Hi to everyone, I'll be praying for the requests, and awaiting news.

Love y'all,
Ruth Ann
