I just got another call from Gilbert, John seems to  be doing a little bit better although afraid to lie down because that is when he has so much trouble breathing.  Gilbert said when he was over there at 11am John was eating eggs. He also said that John tends to fall asleep standing up and  was bent almost in two but still asleep. He is on some heavy narcotics, Methadone,  morphine etc.

May God allow John and Gilbert (as well as the rest of the family) a measure of peace during this. Thanks for keeping us updated.

I spoke with Marlo by phone this evening, and she sends her love to everyone and says that she prays for us daily. Let's remember her in prayer as well as she endures some physical/medical trials and testing.

Hi everyone.  Not much different this morning.  We haven't heard from Stacey yet as it is still early.  When she talked with the doctor he told her it was the femur bone and not the hip that was broken.  We have not idea of when they will operate on her but would anticipate tomorrow.  We did not go to the hospital yesterday and won't today unless the surgery is performed today.  We will certainly be there when she has the surgery.  Pat is having so much pain as she tries to walk that I think I will have to take the transport chair to get her up to Stacey's room.  Hopefully it will be a little better today.  Only a slight chance of rain for today.

Ruth Ann, that information is helpful on why the x-ray may not have shown the crack or break in the femur.  I agree with you on health and safety outweighing fashion.  Hope you feel up to attending your church service today on this Palm Sunday. 

Marilyn, what a situation to fall asleep standing up and it sounds dangerous as well for a broken bone.  Glad Gilbert's FIL seemed to be feeling better.
