Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

Carol: Thankful:  Don is home from hospital.  I found him unconscious with head outside on the floor and the rest was in the shower.  At the same moment, one son was walking through the front door to visit.  Two fire trucks came racing in and they took over After 2021-12-29, 22:01:26

Carol

Taking a break from loading the SUV.  We filled with gasoline yesterday & just need to put the boxes & other stuff inside.  It is hot - Larry, but - it is a dry heat.  Well, I do remember Dallas summers and it was worse with that humidity.

Don:  Thank the Lord you ate all the grits.   :coffee:

Whew I finally got here I have been trying to get in here for days and couldn't. today I had to type in the URL and get to the home page then click on Forum, the one that worked was at the bottom of the home page. Jane told me at lunch that all y'all were back online. I took Jane to lunch for her birthday.

Etta Sue yes it is me with the  Motorola Citrus that  is Android powered, just like your Droid. I do have Live Bible on  mine, I did have the KJV, but uninstalled it and put on the Live B.

Now I should get myself out of this office and walk my dogs before it starts to rain again and while the sun is still out. It looks beautiful out my window.

Carol Gas here for  premium is $3.97 per gallon, Gilbert told me yesterday that he paid $4.45 for premium in California.

Hello to everyone and have a God filled rest of the day.

Thanks, Larry for the link!  I was starting to think I was being left out in the  cold!  Will we get email reminders now, as we did before?  I hope so.  I hadn't tried to get back on CP, guess I just thought we would be notified when it was back up.  Oh, well, no problem.....I had four pages of posts to read, that was nice!

More later, have to go to my sisters, as a gal is coming to help us make up some flowers in preparation for Mom's transition to heaven.
My book Rising Above available at JanetDamon.com

We went to Toronto for an emergency root canal, for Everett, on Wednesday. I did get on yesterday, but just read.
Has anyone heard from Ruth Ann..... praying for her!!

Doing lots of bookkeeping; the end of the month for our church and tax filing for others.

I don't see my picture, however I wanted to change it, anyway.

It was supposed to reach 47 F (8 C) here, today.... cannot even imagine 100 F!!!!

Janet, we all just had to wait till it spread around the world.  Some got in earlier than others.  So glad you're here.

Back home again.  This time, I took a break from the camera and left it home.  I took a couple of photos with my phone camera but lost interest in that.  I am not a people photographer.

We did stop at the Outlet Mall.  I wanted to check out Bose to see if they had speakers that would work with my Droid.  Reason?  So I can make my Droid louder for Sunday School and use Audio Live Bible for the verses that we read.  Yes, they do have speakers for Droid and he took me to the ones that I have sitting here at the table for my laptop.  Sure enough Droid works with these speakers.  Saved myself some money!

The purr-girls were leery of me when I came in the house.  Isn't that funny when they do that?  Act like you are a stranger and you have only been gone a couple of days?  But once I fed them, they knew who I was!

I got a call from Tucson yesterday.  My classmate, Rex, is in the hospital there.  He has a pacemaker that causes him to have 'spells'.  So I think they are waiting until he has a spell so they will know whether to put another wire on the existing pacemaker or implant a new one.  He sounds good and strong, though.

We are to have high winds this afternoon up to 45mph.  It was windy yesterday but calmed down.  Everything is really greening up.  Just a couple of hours south showed so much more spring blooms.  I don't have a sign of anything on my forsythia bush but south they were all yellow!

I am working the projector system today and the ladies that went to the retreat are to sing a couple of song...not my thing at all!  Plus we are to wear the little tiaras that we got...not my thing at all!

Then this afternoon I feel a nap coming on....if the wind doesn't blow me away!

Etta Sue I am so glad you had a good time.  I understand about not being a "people photographer"  I am not either!

This is the Lord's Day.  Let us gather together and rejoice in Him!

Larry Hanna

Hi everyone.  It is a beautiful Sunday morning here in Georgia but only 37 degrees.  There is rain and possible straight line winds predicted for tonight if I heard the weather correctly.

Had the busy day yesterday that I expected but finished up the work I had to do before the Senior Golden Games begin on the 13th.  One of the reports is 94 pages long so was thankful for the laser printer.  We ended up with 279 folks registering to participate in some fashion or another.  When the games start I will post the winners and then any photos that are made available for the various events.

I enjoyed the basketball games last evening although fell asleep before the last one was over.  I was pulling for Kentucky as once lived close to Lexington, where the University of Kentucky is, and know that basketball is a really, really big thing for the State.

We will go to church today and then probably out to have a quick bite to eat.  Pat was feeling better yesterday but still not much energy.  At least she was able to eat a regular diet, although was staying away from spicy foods.

Etta Sue, you must get beautiful sound with the Bose speakers.  I have some fairly inexpensive Altec Lansing speakers that produce beautiful sound as have a nice size subwoofer, which is under my desk.  I have some really good earphones that I can use with my iPod docking station and get fantastic sound from them.  Just using the little earbuds isn't bad but nothing to compare with the headset.

Pat, I watched the vido you linked.  They did that stunt very well.

Ruth V, I really like your new avatar.  I also like the new one that Carol is now using.  Ruth V, those root canals are much easier to take when it is someone else having them.  :)

Janet, glad to see that you are back online with us.

Marilyn, the gas in your area is much higher than ours.  I filled one of the cars yesterday and it was $3.49.  However, I had earned a ten cent reduction per gallon on my Kroger card so that helped a little bit.

Carol, I don't think I will ever forget the summer of 1964 when we lived in Oklahoma and we had over 30 days of continuous 100 degree or above days and we had no air conditioning.  Pat was expecting our second child then and was having some problems so my dear grandmother came and stayed with us to help with the baby we already had and both she and Pat got food poisoning during this time.  It is not a pleasant memory.

Pat, I remember that breakfast we all shared at the SeniorNet convention in Wilmington, North Carolina when you ate grits for the first time, if I recall correctly.  There were seven of the volunteer hosts on the SN website and I think we were all there and really didn't fit in with the Learning Center folks so we just did our own thing.  Do you remember the boat ride dinner the group had?

Don, your breakfast sounds like it would be tasty.  I always like cheese in the grits, although don't mind them with just some butter in them.

Pat

Yes, Larry, I remember the little cruise.  I have photos somewhere from that.  It was nice.  I remember still the sunset on the river.
