The Sufferings of His Broken Heart
From: This is Love- The Extraordinary Story of Jesus
by Max Lucado
Go with me for a moment to witness what was perhaps the foggiest night in history. The scene is very simple; you'll recognize it quickly. A grove of twisted olive trees. Ground cluttered with large rocks. A low stone fence. A dark, dark night.
Now, look into the picture. Look closely through the shadowy foliage. See that person? See that solitary figure? What's he doing? Flat on the ground. Face stained with dirt and tears. Fists pounding the hard earth. Eyes wide with a stupor of fear. Hair matted with salty sweat. Is that blood on his forehead?
That's Jesus. Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane.
Maybe you've seen the classic portrait of Christ in the garden. Kneeling beside a big rock. Snow-white robe. Hands peacefully folded in prayer. A look of serenity on his face. Halo over his head. A spotlight from heaven illuminating his golden-brown hair.
Now, I'm no artist, but I can tell you one thing. The man who painted that picture didn't use the gospel of Mark as a pattern. Look what Mark wrote about that painful night, he used phrases like these: "
Horror and dismay came over him." "
My heart is ready to break with grief." "
He went a little forward and threw himself on the ground."
Does this look like the picture of a saintly Jesus resting in the palm of God? Hardly. Mark used black paint to describe this scene. We see an agonizing, straining, and struggling Jesus. We see a "
man of sorrows." (Isaiah 53:3 NASB) We see a man struggling with fear, wrestling with commitments, and yearning for relief.
We see Jesus in the fog of a broken heart.
The writer of Hebrews would later pen, "
During the days of Jesus' life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions with loud cries and tears to the one who could save him from death." (Hebrews 5:7 NIV)
My, what a portrait! Jesus is in pain. Jesus is on the stage of fear. Jesus is cloaked, not in sainthood, but in humanity.
The next time the fog finds you, you might do well to remember Jesus in the garden. The next time you think that no one understands, reread the fourteenth chapter of Mark. The next time your self-pity convinces you that no one cares, pay a visit to Gethsemane. And the next time you wonder if God really perceives the pain that prevails on this dusty planet, listen to him pleading among the twisted trees.
The next time you are called to suffer, pay attention. It may be the closest you'll ever get to God. Watch closely. It could very well be that the hand that extends itself to lead you out of the fog is a pierced one.
Thanks, Jeanne, for this morning devotional. I've always admired the word pictures Max Lucado paints, and this is really good. I believe what he writes about the suffering of Christ ... and that His (nail pierced) hand will be strong upon us to lead through whatever trial or "fog" we are experiencing. I've had personal experience and I know it's true. :)
Thanks Jeanne!
Hope we have hundreds and hundreds of posts this week!!!
Thank you Jeanne, I too have always liked the words of Max Lucado in his descriptions of Jesus life. Oh how I look forward to those hands holding mine as I enter the heavenly gates.
Hello! I couldn't get online last night, so finally this afternoon I unplugged the modem for a while, then plugged it back in, and here I am!
And----I had a neat surprise this morning! When I looked out the kitchen door, everything was white! I said, "What?" then looked out the window, and all the trees were laden with snow, and the ground was white, too. So I woke Darrel to tell him we got snow! What a blessing to our parched ground. I know some areas have had way too much snow, and too much rain, but we need and welcome it so much. And it was beautiful, so must have fallen without any wind. It has almost all melted now. Send us some more, Lord! Thank YOU.
Ah yes, the spelling bee... :-[ I didn't win. :( But I did my best. I feel like I let a lot of people down, especially my Mom, who wanted so much for me to win. The sad part is, I spelled all except one of the first 50 words correctly (written ones) but then second-guessed myself, and changed one, which knocked me out of the second round, the oral spelling. And I knew every word they asked in that round!! Phooey. Well, maybe next time. Want to see some of the words? Here are some samples:
nauseous; supersede, deciduous, buoyancy, soliloquy, caffeine, munificent, encephalitis, ubiquitous, exegesis, obsteperouous, terahertz, tachycardia, flagellate, milliflous, daugerrotype, egalitarian, prognosticator, ricochet, kaleidoscope, fugue.
That should give you some idea! :)
Jeanne....Tears. Thank you for the picture.
Thank you Jeanne for the wonderful devotional.... I, too, have been drawn closer to God by the fogs. If you don't mind, I am going to copy your devotional and put it into my "Bible Studies" file to bring it back to mind from time to time.
Janet, you did your best!! And the words!! I would have fallen out at "munificent"!! Congratulations for getting into such a competition.....
Thanks, Ruth! :)
Janet, those are some words. I never remember how to spell "nauseous" and I've been nauseous since last evening. Couldn't go to church today because I was nauseous. Now, having spelled nauseous all these times in this post and hoping I'm not nauseous tonight, I hope I always can spell that tricky word "nauseous" from now on!!! :)
:)
Been A busy Weekend here. We went to church in Hugoton because today was a Farewell Sunday for the pastor of their church :(. It was a sad but great service :). He preached on God's Plan for us and how we may think we know what we are supposed to do but don't and definately won't until God reveals it to us :). We went out to eat and visited some family. However, after going to Amarillo yesterday and the ambulance pager going off at 2 this am and Ruth up at 3 and wow :S just makes for a long tiring day. I am sad to say I am ready for bed and it is only 730 :S. Janet- You did you best at the spelling bee and thats all anyone can ask for :)
I am off to eat supper and head to bed so I can teach tomorrow (only 30 school days left this month not counting weekends)
~Sarah
Janet I couldn't have spelled those words! YOu did well!!!
It is late. Kass is home tonight, she babysits during the week, and comes home when she is able. This will be over soon.
I am off to bed. Night all.
Well, g'mornin! My disabled sister-in-law spoke with me on the phone for almost 2 hours, so I'm really late getting here.
This Sunday was our pastor and his wife's 20th anniversary at the church. What a great day it has been, and how great to see how well loved they are in the community,, and amongst other pastors.
I'm so grateful God has let me work through some serious doubts a few months back, but the fact is that when I'm too old or too disabled to drive, then I'll be forced to begin attending the church directly across the street from my apartments. It's a great church with many of my old friends, but the ties at the tiny church where I'm member are also long lasting and very strong.
Jeanne, what a wonderful thought you have given us to reflect upon this week - what our wonderful Lord has gone through simply out of His great love for each of us.
Again, may God richly bless all who come this way today, Ruth Ann
I'm glad this week's devotional seems to have touched so many of you as it did me. I had something entirely different planned but when Friday's email brought this one I knew it was "the one".
HI everyone from a stormy, rainy, chilly Georgia. I was awaken this morning early by thunder and lots and lots of rain. It stopped for a bit and began again during the time we were at McDonald's for coffee and had pretty well stopped again when we left.
The housekeepers were suppose to be here this morning but when I came home they were not here and Pat is still asleep so don't know what is going on. She really wore herself out on Saturday when we sat and finished sewing the back side of the binding by hand to the quilt. I haven't seen her that tired in a long time and don't think she has gotten rested yet. She did take the quilt to her good friend and gave it to her yesterday as it was her friend's birthday. Her friend was almost overwhelmed at the gift and I know Pat got a lot of joy out of doing it for her. (My wife just woke up and she told me she thinks she may have the flu so had called the housekeepers not to come today as didn't want to expose them. I sure hope this is the flu that many people have been experiencing where it takes several weeks to recover.)
I have my men's luncheon to attend today and we are going to another new place not far from here. It was a Mexican restaurant and apparently has changed hands had still has Mexican and American food and it presenting itself as a sports bar. This is the third one in our area to be a sports bar. It is a nice facility and just hope the food is good. Hope the rain is over by the time I have to leave the house about 12:45 this afternoon. We always meet at 1 pm as the crowds are gone and the places are always a bit quieter.
Jeanne, thanks for the devotional thought for this week. Our minister preached on the experience of Jesus in the garden and the fact that we are like the three disciples who couldn't stay awake while Jesus prayed. I thought the devotional described well the fact that Jesus suffered the anguish, pain and fear that is go human as we do.
Judy, hope you are feeling better today.
Ruth Ann, it is wonderful that you have a church very close by to where you live that you will be able to attend when you are no longer able to drive. One of the problems of living in a neighborhood as we do is that the auto is the only means of transportation although a few churches do have church buses but don't know whether they limit their pickups to children or not. We have some churches closer to where we are attending but still requires a trip in the car.
Sarah, it sounds like you weren't able to get much sleep. What are you teaching?
Janet, I am sort of like Pat in that there are a few words that I just never spell right. One of them is restaurant and I always have to use the spell check to correct it. I think there are several of those words you listed that would certainly have tripped me up. Congratulations on how well you did and it sounds like there is nothing for you to beat yourself up over. You did your best and that is all that is ever required from any of us. Of course, I know we hold ourselves to a higher standard than those around us hold for us. Glad you had the experience and you can look forward to next year.
Etta Sue, a very cute story.

Jeanne, thank you so much for the devotion. I have a paint by number of Jesus at Gethsemane and often wondered why it showed Jesus as serene.
And Janet, I don't know the meaning of half of those words so they wouldn't be in my vocabulary. I misspell 'separate' a lot. And still don't know when to use 'effect' and 'affect'!
Our catered dinner yesterday was wonderful. Home-cooked food! Mashed potatoes, roast beef, chicken dumplings, broccoli salad, layered salad, green beans, rolls and dessert of cobbler or cake. Then coffee, iced tea or lemonade. Delicious.
Last evening we had Small Groups. Pastor Steve had us do it different. Instead of him doing all the talking, he forced allowed us to participate. We divided up in two groups and each took a chapter of our study book (Max Lucado). Then 'we' had to tell everyone what we discussed. Interesting.
Today is rehab and Ivalou is going to Lions Club tonight to eat. So we are going to eat first and then go to rehab so Ivalou will be hungry again to eat at the Lions Club. Kitty is going to call me when she gets back home and we are going to meet here, her house or the pizza place. We will decided later. She is going to cat sit for me Friday when I will be in Nashville, IN, for the Women Retreat.

I just came in to read, finding out how all my friends on C.P. are doing.
If you lose this website, I for one, would tremendously miss my morning "cup of coffee" with you all.
Although I don't post much, my love and prayers are with you. God has given me such contentment and kept me busy in what I love to do, bookkeeping, and given me a place to live, marvelous Christian friends .... and then had JudyB introduce me to all of you!!
Larry, praying for Pat that the bout of flu will not last long!!
We have a member who is challenging all of the members on :cp:
Read about it HERE (http://www.christianphotographers.com/community/index.php?topic=11625.0).
What fun!!
Good afternoon to all of my CP friends
Yes it has been a very long time since I last put anything on paper but God has been so very very good. It was sad that Mel had his curling accident and needed surgery but slowly he is on the mend therapy starts April 8th.
I have been going to chiropractors for many years and even at this time I was directed to make a change and with resistance it happened and already I am feeling so much better. God has been good.
Larry: Thanks for the web of last week I have saved and forwarded it to some friends.
Pat: I trust that CP will not be gone forever.
Janet: Good for you on the spelling as I would not have done as well as you
Sarah: I am glad that you are back.
Marilyn: Are you out taking the doggies for a walk?
Judy: I almost gave you a phone call about your shoulder and the cold packs and he said it is not for him something warm feels much better.
Tonight I will be going to play Euchre actually it will be more talk than playing.
Etta Sue: I always do look more forward to going home rather than another place unless there are friends and family where I want to go. Have you been able to go swimming lately?
Larry: Oh, no - do hope it is not the flu for Pat. I am sure her quilt gift was such a treasure for her friend.
A dove stayed on our little patio wall for hours this morning and I put water nearby but she didn't take any - something must have stunned her and she is now gone, hopefully to continue recuperating.
Was thinking of Janice and Earl, and so many who are in pain. Prayers for all.
Hi, friends, it's cool and sunny here. Since the forecast last night suggested rain for today, I'm really grateful it hasn't happened yet.
My friend has had a painful growth on her thumb for quite a while, but hasn't been able to get it removed due to being laid off from her job for over 2 years. Ouch!
Today, God provided a financial way for her to be seen, so I will be driving her to the appointment and back home. I would appreciate prayer for my friend, Deborah - one of God's very faithful and loving servants.
Love to all who come this way,
Ruth Ann
Our senior pastor is heading to Iwaki, Fukushima, which is near the damaged nuclear facility. One of our churches is near there and he's heading there to bring relief. He'll be there for 3 days. Thanks for prayin'! His name is Hiroshi Horikawa.
Prayers for Pat (NO flu!) and for Kevin's pastor. So many needs all around us!
Mom was itching all over today. They said the toxins are building up in her system, so had faxed both her doctor and the hospice nurse about it. She had been scratching herself, and her nails were sharp, so I smoothed them down with an emery board. Probably they will give her something like Benadryl, which will make her sleep even more. She really didn't feel like talking to me today, and that's okay. She fell asleep so I spent time with Beth, writing, writing.......it is a bit discouraging to know how much there is to say to tell her story. Please pray that we can write it in such a way as to bring glory to our Lord. He has done so much for her, and for me.
Ruth, I saw the photo of Mel's arm on Facebook. Ouch! Glad the surgery is done and the healing well underway, and soon the rehab will be over, too. Give him a hug for me. So good to have you posting again.
Hi everyone, It's been a while since I have been here and hope all are doing well. It's good to see all of your faces again!
Jeanne that devotion was right on time, I needed It. Thank You!
Don, He does have perfect timing!
YIPPEE!! Have you looked at the challenge lately??
Don, good to see you again.
Jeanie, I neglected to tell you how the devotional blessed me--sorry--it did! Thanks!
It is very overcast and gloomy looking here. I surely hope that means some moisture is on the way.
Does anyone have some computer advice for me? I only have this laptop, and it doesn't have Word or anything on it, which I really need for the book. Should I buy a new desktop, or buy a word program or word processor and install on this machine? And if I do that, will I need more ram? I am such a computer dummy...... :( But I need to be able to add and change, and can't readily do that on paper! Anyway, that is too slow!. Help!
If Larry or anyone else has advice for me, please email me, as I need to get moving, and this site will be down for a little bit. Thanks so much.

Janet do you know about this?
http://download.openoffice.org/
It will do anything that microsoft office will do and It's Free. I don't use these kind of programs much but from what I have seen it looks like microsoft office but the names are different. It will open microsoft office documents also.
I will send you a link in case you don't see this.
Hi Janet. I was going to suggest Open Office as well. YOu can go from MSWord to Open Office, but you cannot go the other way. Our girls found that out the had way at school. But if all you need is a word processor then Open Office is a good one.
The burner motor on the furnace quit several weeks ago hee so we got another load od wood in and have been burning solely wood. The wood was not as dry as the first batch so was rather hard to get going. Yesterday,we were again out of wood so I went to see the fellow who looks after our oil furnace to find out some costs, and was told to replace the motor could be upwards to $600 for the motor alone. I was also told that befor I decide and replace the motor Tim should come and see what is actually wrong. He came. It was the motor BUT he was able to replace the bearings. Total bill $120.00 Yes God is good. Aparently the bearings on this motor are sealled, and cannot be oiled whice was the problem. He rarely has to replace a motor on a furnace like ours. Tim is a good man to talk to. He doesn't make me feel like I am just a stupid woman like a lot of service guys do.
We have another beautiful clear day here, the temperature is supposed to be above freezing, so (maple) sap should be running.
Have a God day everyone!

I was going to suggest openoffice, too. Hope it works for you, Janet.
And I haven't been swimming for a couple of weeks but Kitty and I are going today! Yay! I need it!
I didn't realize Ruth plays Euchre. If you are ever in Indiana, make it the third Tuesday and you can go play Euchre with my group! Fun, isn't it?
I am so happy that Ivalou is doing so much better. She went to Lions Club last night and around 8:30pm, she called me telling me she was home but she was going to bring me some banana pudding. Actually I think it is a butterscotch pudding with chopped peanuts in it. So I turned on my flood lights and she came over here. I asked her to come in and stay awhile. She said she left her door open but she could stay a little bit. She left at almost 10pm! So good to see her sitting in my living room. God is good! If I had nothing but her eyes to tell me she is better, her eyes say it!
I am getting anxious to go to the retreat now that it is so near. We are leaving at 2pm Thursday and back Saturday afternoon. And the weather is to be sunny and beautiful! Good shopping weather! Now to decide what all to take...computer?...how many changes of clothes?...GPS since I am driving Betty's car?....but I have a GPS on Droid so maybe just the car adapter? Hmmmm!xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo

Etta Sue, it's so good to know that Ivalou is better. Praise the Lord! And I can hear the excitement as you make your plans for the retreat. :D
Hi everyone. Another gloomy and very chilly day here in Georgia but no rain. I had a busy morning and just finished my lunch and trying to get caught up on my computer reading.
I was running out of time to submit a request that the county reassess my property due to the terrible loss of value we all are experiencing. It had to be submitted by April 1st. However, I saw where I could go online and was able to file the necessary request online, which saves a trip to the post office and the cost of the stamp. Hopefully that is taken care of now.
I just had a delightful chat with Janet. I had read her posting about a word processor and immediately picked up the phone and called her and suggested the Open Office program to her. She indicated I wasn't the first, as I saw when I read through the rest of the messages. Great minds, do you think! :)
Just a little hint to those of you using Open Office. You can, when you save the document, click on the "save as" button under the line where you put the name of the file and then save it as a Microsoft Word 97/2000/XP. As far as I know each newer version of Microsoft Word will read and open these earlier version document. If you need any help with this just let me know.
Etta Sue, nice to read that Ivalou is doing better and also that you get to swim today.
Judy, guess your experience is another demonstration that we often worry unnecessarily or anticipate the worst. Glad you were able to get the motor fixed and hope you are warm now.
Don, nice to see you back with us. We have missed you.
Kevin, hope you friend experiences no adverse side-effect by visiting that area to do God's work.
Ruth Ann, know it must seem a real blessing for your friend to finally get the medical attention she needs. Hope it can resolve her pain.
Carol, Pat is feeling better today but still running a low-grade fever. She was at least able to eat a piece of toast this morning and a very light lunch and is now sitting in her easy chair rather than staying in bed all day as she did yesterday. This will just have to run its course.
Ruth, I expect there are a lot of card games played that the cards take backstage to the talking. However, nothing wrong with that.
I think I haven't mentioned everyone who has posted since I did but have run out of steam and it is time to rest.
Hi everyone, Ruth Ann it is good to see you posting again, I have missed you.
Kevin I am praying for your Senior Pastor.
Larry I hope Pat gets better real soon.
Etta sue, Great news about Iva Lou being about to do all the things she is not doing, like coming to your house to visit.
I am almost through with the last afghan, I just have to do the edging now, I should have them in the mail by the beginning of next week.
We are going out to dinner tonight to a fantastic Mexican restaurant, it is the 3rd anniversary of our first meeting/date. My goodness now time has flown.
Marilyn: Happy date Anniversary! Enjoy your meal.
Jeanne: I went back and reread the devotion and it spoke to me more today than yesterday so that was meant to be - I mean, isn't it strange that I felt that I needed to look at your devotion again?
Washing, packing some things - friends are coming to visit & I can't do everything.
Larry: Tell Pat that I am thinking of her and that she should put her feet up and sip hot broth or something like that for now. Keep hydrated. Nice of you to check on Janet. I think it was snowing in Denver today and here in Arizona they are going to pass a record of 95* possibly on Friday. We are heading back on Sunday and it will take 1 1/2 days of driving.
Can anyone please show me how to change my picture? I look like a teacher standing in front of an unruly classroom with my arms folded. Am much friendlier than that in person - thanks so much. ;)
Well, we got moved over to the new server but all won't be able to get on the site yet. Michael finished the move at 4:21 am!!! What a fellow he is! We just have to thank the Lord for him.
Carol, if you have your picture you'd like to use for your profile, you can send it to me as an attachment and I can change it for you or you can go into your profile and change it. Click on "Forum Profile Information" and tick the part where it says "I will upload my own picture:" and then navigate to it on your computer.
I see that some of our photos have "disappeared" so I will speak to Michael about this and he can get them back.
I was surprised when I was Able to Connect just now.
Thank You LORD!
Thank You Michael!

Hey, I just reread my post and kind of ironic and those are the two in heaven that are at the top of our leadership as Christians.

I wasn't expecting to get on CP this morning either. Michael must not be on Daylight Savings Time...he is still on 'fast' time! <3
Swimming tired Kitty and I both. We really had a workout. We have gotten so we can do 36 links in less than 45 minutes! I know I bettered myself yesterday! I fell asleep watching TV soon after I got home.
And I got a call from David saying my glasses were in. So since it was on the way back from swimming, I got them. I am thinking that I do have a cataract on my right eye since it still seems blurry when I shut my left eye. But I can see so much better with both eyes...reading and distance! So I said 'Self! Quit shutting one eye!' So that's what I will do.
I am doing some laundry today and need to leave by 12:30 for Ivalou's rehab. Then we will eat somewhere. And this evening is Wednesday Night Live Bible Study.
That leaves packing and going over my little 'talk' before leaving tomorrow. I am going to drive Betty's little Honda SUV. So I want to make sure I know where everything is before leaving my house. Wipers, horn, adjust the mirrors and seat...all those things that could be in different places since it isn't a GM product! Who knows...I may like a Honda and switch for my next car!
I think I am taking the computer but may or may not have time to be online.
Oh, yes! I forgot to tell you that it has been snowing here. Nothing on the ground but it was in the air!---<---<-@---<---<-@---<---<-@---<---<-@---<---<-@---<---<-@

Sounds like you're quite the swimmer, Etta Sue.
It will be interesting to see how long it takes some of our folks to get back on CP.
I'm back.... didn't try earlier.
This is a beautifully sunny day. Had Elizabeth home today and what a joy that has been. Kassie will be here soon.
Good to be here.
Pat: Thanks for telling Carol how to change her picture as I think that I would like to change mine or at least remember how.
Whom ever had snow please keep it but the news did say that we could get some as well. Mel should not be shoveling and I have trouble making him understand.
It is getting late and I have to rise earlier tomorrow morning.
Pat: Thank you - I forgot you were going to be "down" - we had visitors all afternoon so I just ran in here & so glad to get on. I will try to find some picture.
Ruth: Hi - I agree that Mel should not be shoveling snow. It is too much of a strain.
Interesting to see who is getting on since we were "down". I think that some still can't get on. It could take up to 48 hours.
I can get on but it takes a couple minutes to get to the log in page and then it takes another couple minutes to log in. After I get logged in everything seems to work ok except no photos yet. It will take a while to get all the bugs ironed out.
Don, do you see your profile photo? I do.
Paul was in Winchester at the McDonald's and he tried to get on and he just got the message "No Server..." something or other.
How wonderful to "see" all of y'all once again. How great that the transition worked so well. May God richly bless Michael, and also everyone else who puts so much time and effort, as well as resources to allow all of us to receive the blessings that come when we participate.
Hugs to ALL!
Ruth Ann
Hi Ruth Ann!
Great to see that you arrived. Talk to you soon again. Hopefully everyone will be here tomorrow.

Yes Pat. I can see my profile picture and others. This morning I can see some of the photos, some I can't see.
I also see there are 2 guests viewing this thread with me so someone else is able to get connected.
I went back to the index page and see there are 18 guest and i user, which I assume is me, online.
I had this come into my email INBOX today from Joni and it so touched my heart. I very much know what she's talking about and this little writing I find very helpful:
Forsaken Feelings
"About the ninth hour Jesus cried out in a loud voice, 'Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?'-which means, 'My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?'"
--Matthew 27:46
I received a letter the other day from a man who described his painful feelings of separation from the Lord. He was a strong believer, but because of a death in his family he felt as though God had forsaken him. This man was ashamed and upset with his emotions, trying desperately to feel connected with the Lord. He said in his note, "Joni, I don't know if I'll ever be able to experience closeness to God again."
I put down his letter and recalled those dark times when I, too, felt like God was far away. It's frightening to feel that the Lord has turned His back on you. But if you've ever experienced that dark emptiness, you're not alone.
Jesus felt the same way. There was a time when the Son of God Himself was unable to experience closeness with His Father. It happened on the cross. And when He felt separated, He cried out, "My God, why have you forsaken me?"
It's hard to explain, but I draw comfort from the knowledge that even Jesus was unable-at least at one point in His life-to experience closeness with the Father. That fact alone convinces me that Jesus understands exactly how I feel; it convinces me that the Lord would not condemn me for feeling separated from Him. The lack of closeness won't last forever. Jesus came through it, and He'll give you all the hope you need to come through those feelings, too.
Lord Jesus, I can't begin to imagine your agony of feeling separated from the Father. I'm simply grateful that You understand my feelings today. With You, I am always close to God-thank You for assuring me that You will never leave or forsake me.
Blessings,
Joni and Friends

'Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus,
And to take Him at His Word;
Just to rest upon His promise,
And to know, "Thus says the Lord!"
Refrain
Jesus, Jesus, how I trust Him!
How I've proved Him o'er and o'er
Jesus, Jesus, precious Jesus!
O for grace to trust Him more!
O how sweet to trust in Jesus,
Just to trust His cleansing blood;
And in simple faith to plunge me
Neath the healing, cleansing flood!
Refrain
Yes, 'tis sweet to trust in Jesus,
Just from sin and self to cease;
Just from Jesus simply taking
Life and rest, and joy and peace.
Refrain
I'm so glad I learned to trust Thee,
Precious Jesus, Savior, Friend;
And I know that Thou art with me,
Wilt be with me to the end.

Good morning. I am all ready to leave for Nashville, IN except putting my laptop in the suitcase and my cosmetics and zipping it up! But that won't be for 3 hours before we leave! You may see my room (http://www.cornerstoneinn.com/room05.html)
here.
I was surprise that it is so cold outside! Only in the 20's! It looks nice. Not sunny but at least no white or wet stuff!
Kitty is coming tomorrow to feed the purr-girls. Inky is a gobbler with her food and then you know what happens. So I can't put out a lot of food at a time. She will get our mail also.
I can't wait. I have read my daily devotions ahead so I don't have to take my big Bible but I have Bible on Droid. Was it Marilyn that has a Droid now...(senior moment)? Have you downloaded 'Live Bible'? There are four versions on it that are audio also. Neat to read and hear at the same time!
And I couldn't find my alarm clock but I have an alarm on Droid. I thought about not taking the laptop since I have about everything on Droid but...I am taking it! Hope I have time to use it!
And Pat, I love to swim but probably won't be doing too much swimming after July 15. Not renewing my membership.
Hope to check in tomorrow and Saturday!\\//\\//\\//\\//\\//\\//\\//\\//\\//\\//\\//\\//\\

Is that really your room, Etta Sue? That's beautiful!
How long will you be there?
I must look and see what this Droid is all about. :-\

I too just recently went through something like this and I just want to Thank God for not forsaking me even though it seemed like he had. Thank you Lord for keeping me in a time that I felt like you didn't hear or care about me. Remember you can't trust in your feelings but you can trust in Gods word. We have a unchanging God that means what he says no matter how we feel.
Heb. 13:8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.
AMEN!!! Don! And what a great verse! That's so true.
from the mouth of babes while we ate lunch. My daughter, Krista is 5 years old
Krista: "I was just thinking, we must look like dollhouse people to God because He is so big."
Me: "you know, I never thought of it like that, but you might be right - because He is a really BIG God"
Krista: "I don't think Ben (best little friend in K) believes in God. I think he only believes in Batman"
Me: "what makes you think that?"
Krista: "because when we were on the bus, I told him that God made him and he said, no I came out of my Mommy's belly"
Me: "then what did you say?"
Krista: "Ben, didn't you know God made your Mommy too?" But then he was quiet and that's why I'm not sure if he knows who God is. I think I have to tell him that if he doesn't believe in God, he won't go to heaven. I want him to go to heaven."
Lord, will you take the simple heart-felt desire for Krista's friend Ben to know you and make it a reality - in your time... in your way...Amen
Praise God!
Bless that little girl, Krista, Take the words that see said to Ben and start growing that seed she planted until they produce what they were sent forth to do.
Amen
What a wonderful conversation! Thank you for sharing that in here, Darcy. Children speak so truthfully, don't they? Sounds as if she's being schooled correctly in God's Word!
Well, well, well ....
I didn't even try to come in here yesterday because I figured the site was still in transition. :-[ So good to be "back" except I don't see my profile photo or some of the others ... maybe that will come later? ???
I'm STILL waiting for the man to come over from Roseburg and fix the damage done by the last couple of storms. The strip he put along the roof ridge blew off and, on Sunday, the skylight was leaking! :o He has promised since Sunday afternoon to come and take care of it, but so far I haven't seen him! Yesterday and today there has been blue sky and sunshine, so I can't imagine what his excuse is now. ::)
Hi Jane... Glad to see you! Sorry about your roof though.
Hi backatcha, Pat ... how come I don't see your photo ... or mine? ???
Never mind .... I just fixed it!
There's still some tweaking to do. Not sure why. Hey, I see yours.
We continue to purge and pack and I found the cell phone hidden behind stuff. We had a coupon given to us by probably one of the children for Starbucks (don't they know I mostly boycott) and slurped frozen coffee while temps are into high 80's here right now.
Chatted with cousin's wife who is in Yuma, AZ right now & my cuz is out on the golf course. Talk about a cardiac risk because temps there are about 100 degrees F. Can you imagine? Dry heat - it is still exhausting.
Pat is going to change my picture in here so that will be very nice. As if she isn't busy enough and now she has to babysit me in a photo change. ::)
Pat: Thanks for sending along the message from Joni about Forsaken Feelings. We all have been there one time or another and this message is such a comfort.
Etta Sue: Happy Trails to you.....until me meet again!
Hi everyone. We had a day without rain today and finally this afternoon saw the sun for a little bit but still on about 50 degrees so not very warm.
This was a busy day as after coffee I headed down to Atlanta to spend a couple of hours with our daughter. Pat is still under the weather with the flu and wasn't in any condition to so. Our daughter had had to go to the ER a couple of nights ago as she looked down and her sock was blood soaked. Another skin break had occurred on her foot and she didn't even know it. I saw it today as she put some ointment on it that I had picked up for her at Kroger his morning. It is not a pretty thing to behold and is not a small sore. She has no feeling in her feet due to the neuropathy, although suffer pain from the broken bones in her foot. She also got some antibiotic based on her visit to the ER. Hope she can get it under control She is not able to wear her shoe as that is apparently what caused the sore.
I picked up a sub at Kroger's and we just ate at her apartment today rather than eating out. I enjoyed the visit with her and know she gets very lonely in that small apartment. We are not going to bring her here for overnight at this time because she has to be on her foot too much and the foot doctor wants her to stay off if it to the maximum extent possible. So we will go down and see her every two weeks plus talk with her on the phone once a day or more.
So I am behind on my web reading for today. I have read all the postings but will not comment tonight. I should have a little more time tomorrow.
So good to see everyone joining the conversation. I had several "God moments" today.
1. I had a return appt. to the ear specialist. Not only did the visit go well, but as I was waiting to see him, the receptionist was speaking with a young man who apparently has been having some difficulties that she knew about. As she was speaking with him through the window while he was sitting in the nearly empty waiting room, first she inquired if he was "doing okay", then after a few moments of conversation, she said, "well, I'll be earnestly praying for you." How good is that!!! A wonderful doctor, great patient care, and now to learn there's at least one christian working there. :)
2. After the appointment, I was preparing to drive away and a very close friend called - she had a flat tire. Since I was only about 2-3 miles from their home, I drove out, picked her up, we ate and fellowshipped together, then, I was privileged (along with her) to attend the funeral of a great scholar, christian leader, and theologian in the Nazarene church, Dr. William M. Greathouse. Oh, Oh, what a wonderful blessing to be in that huge congregation where the grand old songs of the church were sung, a full choir or men sang God's praises so beautifully, and heard wonderful tributes by the children, grandson (an Episcopal priest), and leaders from around the world who loved and worked with him.
3. We ate with her sister and good friend. And the good friend volunteered to help put the emergency tire on her vehicle. Well, no one was strong enough to turn the lug nuts, but I had stopped at an auto parts store and encouraged her to get a can of Fix a Flat. They ended up using it, then used an electric pump in my road emergency kit to air the tire up enough to drive to a tire store.
As they drove off, a really nice man pulled to the intersection volunteering to chas3e them down and try to get that emergency tire on for them.
What a day of blessing-counting. We commented that God makes no mistakes - He works out everything in His own timing...praise his name!
I've been touch typing, so hope this isn't too hard to decipher. Eyes are about shot for the day, but I just HAD to come to praise our loving God, who sees to our needs be they great or small.
Much love to Him, and to each of you,
Ruth Ann

Yes, the room really looks like the picture other than the couch is on the same wall as the bed. We have one light we can't seem to turn on...probably us and not the light. Anyway, it is kind of dark in here for three women to get ready at this hour of the morn.
Last night was full of laughter, fun, thoughts, and God. And the desserts at this place!! A diabetic sure can't indulge here! I had a scone with lemon curd...now I know what curd is! And a brownie like things with cheesecake/marshmallow then chocolate icing. When we came out of the meeting, there was a black berry cobble, and some kind of cookie bars! At 8am we can have breakfast! Coffee!!
I don't think we slept very good last night. But rested! Hope it is nice enough to do some shopping today! Nashville is full of all kinds of shops to juried art to socks!! Maybe the second night will be better and tomorrow night our own beds.
Maybe later! ?º°`°º?ø,¸¸,ø?º°`°º?ø?º°`°º?ø,¸¸,ø?º°`°º?ø?º°`°º?ø,¸¸,ø?º°`°º?ø?º°`

Hi everyone. We are seeing the sun this morning and it sure looks good. Still going to be cool today. I just spoke with our daughter and she feels better when the sun shines. She hurts much worse when it is stormy and lightening seems to give her a lot of pain in her legs.
I have been busy paying bills this morning after coffee as it is the first of the month. Now have to update the Money program where we keep track of payments and balances. Pat usually does this each month but just isn't feeling up to it yet so I am doing it this month. I used to do it all the time but I wanted her to be comfortable doing this type of thing in case something happened to me.
I plan on staying home today and just having a leisurely paced day. I have just a very few pages left to finish the ebook I am reading, which has been a very enjoyable one. It is called "The Whistling Season" by Ivan Doig. It revolves around a one-room school house and a man with three sons to raise after losing his wife. I have really enjoyed it as it brings back a lot of memories in having attended a one-room school house myself for my grade school years.
Etta Sue, did you ladies stay up talking to long last night or just too much sugar energy from all those deserts? :) Glad you are able to attend and hope it is a wonderfully Spirit blessed event for you all.
Ruth Ann, what a full day you had yesterday and being aware of God's many miracles right before your eyes and more importantly recognizing them. You did very well with your touch typing.
Good Morning Everyone!
Etta Sue, I'm so happy you now know what Lemon Curd is!!! I love it and it's great on scones and freshly baked Ulster Wheaten Bread!
Hello Larry... This is so upsetting to read about your daughter's foot and how she feels. Please give her my love. It was so good to meet her when we were there.
Good Morning everyone. Sun is trying to shine this morning, sure hope it makes it,tired of clouds and rain.
Do you use GMail? If so you can now check and interact with GMail with body movements. Check It out.

Hi Don! I use gmail. What does this do? I don't understand. I clicked but I'm not sure what it's about.
Hey Jeanne, You do know that today is April 1 don't you
HAHAHA! I see it now! I like the one for putting a stamp on the envelope.
Not sure I'll use this though. I'm not that photogenic! :)
So, this is an April Fool's Day joke?
I found that you really have to get into it. The motions you make have to really have some enthusiasm. Kind of like that wii thingy where you swing your arms and jump up and down like a wild person. Guess it's not going to work so good for us old people.

Well I guess I got caught for April Fools Day by the computer. I've been trying for the last two days to get here using my bookmark that has always opened to the forum and kept getting "404 Not Found". I decided to see what would happen if I just used the url to take me to the home page. Success! Then "hmm wonder what will happen if I click on "forums"" Again, success and here I am. I guess I'll have to replace that bookmark. Now I have a lot of catching up to do! :)

Well I think my April's Fool day was yesterday. When I clicked my link this is what I got. Never seen it before. I checked the url and it was right so I don't know what was going on. Guess it had something with the change over.

I think my body played a trick on me today. My blood sugar must have hit a record low. Was in my car, got extremely shaky, stopped to get something at a fast "slow" food restaurant. Was trapped in line for over 45 min feeling worse by the minute. Got food, got into a parking space, ate, then waited 45 more min before trying to drive home. Stopped again, got something sweet, waited 30 more min. Finally made it home, into the bldg, but too shaky to go up the elevator. Now in apt, but am trusting that God and the food will work together.
Rest assured, I'm here and made sure the pull cord is in reach! G'nite, friends.
rab
Ruth Ann: So sorry that you had such a scare and such a long wait for food. My husband has been having urgent feelings of needing food on a much lower scale that you and we started carrying energy bars and water bottles in the car - but of course, real food just seems to help quicker. Good that you are resting - hope you are now asleep. It is good to see you posting.
Talked with cousin who has been having dizzy problems & she is going for a different set of doctors once they drive back to Minnesota. I hope so.
We visited with our friends today and he is not well but did fine going out to a cafe for awhile. Temperature set a record of 100*F today otherwise it would not be until April 15th. This is not an April Fool Joke! :P
Larry: Such a concern for Stacey with lack of feeling in her foot.
I just cleaned the entire refrigerator which should not be any problem but if you could have seen the convoluted way of getting trays out you would have a good laugh at me. The ref. is too big for the little kitchen and I mean everything has to be moved carefully or something scratches - how they ever got the thing in there is beyond my imagination. Don had to come and help - and, of course it was at least 95 degrees in the kitchen - not my best moment today. All cooled down now & we are ready to pack the vehicle tomorrow & head home.

Well, our time here is almost over. I did my presentation last evening and part of it was making blankets to send to Africa. The fleece blankets that were pre-cut and you tie the ties. They are a turquoise color with white 'God Loves You' written on the turquoise...the color of African waters. The minister's son went to Africa two summers ago. That same group is taking these (12) to Africa and has promised to send photos back of the kids with their blankets!
I got April Fooled yesterday also. I do a Shockwave Jigsaw puzzle every day. After moving the pieces I started to solve the puzzle by clicking on a piece and dragging it in place. I clicked, dragged, let go and it would move up...or down. After about 4 times, a pop up said April Fools! Then all was good.
I am sure you realized what my April Fools was for you. (https://www.christianphotographers.com/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi195.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fz77%2FEttaSue%2FCP%2FAnis%2FAprilFools.gif&hash=75d57375b75a25b61b3037ca4e631c2cae18228a)
No matter how much clicking, it won't open and it never loads!
Well, we have breakfast and then we have one more presentation. Then heading north. I don't know if we will stop at the outlet mall or not. But we will probably eat somewhere so we won't have to cook when we get home. But we should be home this afternoon sometime. »ïÏï«,¸¸,»ïÏï«,¸¸,»ïÏï«,¸¸,»ïÏï«,¸¸,»ïÏï«,¸¸,»ïÏïS«,¸¸,»ïÏï«,¸¸,»ïÏï«,¸¸,»ïÏï«

Hi everyone. I got up a little earlier this morning as was rested and ready. I expect to have a fairly busy day today. I have some responsibilities at a meeting I am attending this morning. I will come home and have a bite of lunch, rest for a hour or so, and then the lady I work with on the Golden Games will be here about 2:30 to finish up the applications and print out the various reports they need to run the games. With the laser printer I have it doesn't take long to print the reports and the applications are done unless she finds a error I have made in the initial entry. It is always helpful to have one person do the work and another to check it and our system has worked well.
Later today and this evening I will watch the Final Four of the NCAA Tourney. Hope they are good games. All of the teams expected to make it have fallen by the wayside.
Carol, I hope you left the refrigerator on while you were cleaning to get a little coolness as the 95 degrees sounds terrible. You will enjoy being back in the Denver area and getting some cooler weather.
Ruth Ann, how scary was the experience you had. I think my daughter carries some little emergency packs to use if her blood sugar drops too low. Sounds like you need to find a different "fast" food place. Glad you have access to emergency help with your pull cord. Hope you are feeling better today. That diabetes is a tough thing to control.
Don, it looks like your experience in getting here had to do with the change of servers. I didn't experience that but didn't try to come in during the PM hours and by the time I checked again things had migrated to the new server. I almost got catch yesterday morning with one of those April fool's jokes on a website where I was reading. There are some very clever people out there to think these things up.
Etta Sue, have a safe trip home.
Do you have trouble resizing your photos or need a easier way? Check the how to forum for a really simple way.
Do you like grits?
Well I just cooked 3 strips of crispy bacon on my George Forman grill, fixed myself a bowl of grits, broke that bacon up in small pieces in that bowl of grits, poured myself a pint of milk, Thanked the Lord for it.
Mmmmmmmmmmmmm'n Fit for a King. ;D
Ummmmm Now Don. Two eggs, bacon, home fries with onions, Sliced tomato, fried mushrooms and toast. Now that is fit for a king! Or perhaos an Irish fry!
It's so interesting to read all of your experiences. Not yours, RuthAnn!! That sounds awful!
Not sure what page you had, Don!!! Pretty girl though! Wish I were that young again!
Etta Sue, your little trip sounds so interesting. I hope you took photos to share with us. I still love that room you stayed in! Beautiful!!!
Larry, is Pat better now from that flu bug? I hope so. Last weekend I had something for sure but I did have my flu shot this year so it was probably just an upset tummy.
I'm hoping to meet up with Ruthie either today or tomorrow. Milton Wendy's or Tim Horton's is exactly half way from Ruthie's house to mine here in Guelph so it's pretty handy for us to just decide to meet for a cup of coffee. It's a 30 to 40 minute drive but that's not far when you really like a person, is it?
Carol, I have to get Paul to help me get my fridge out so that I can clean behind it when he's here next. I know I'm going to find something terrible under it and behind it but I just can't move it by myself. I will work on that photo for your avatar for you today. Just wish you could find one with you in the photo quite a bit larger!!! ;)
Who's missing?
Well, I have to do some vacuuming. So I better get at it.
Don, I don't care for grits too much but when my late hubby was ill, a good friend sent from Georgia, 40 pounds of stone ground grits from a mill to him as he could eat grits but not other kinds of cereal as there was too much phosphorus in the other cereals like rolled oats and other porridge meals. That was so kind of her. She got it to one of the SeniorNet ladies (Pat Howe) who brought it up to our home here in Guelph.
Hi Judy!!!
We haven't sung this since April 4, 2010 so let's sing it today!

"He is not here: for he is risen, as he said.
Come, see the place where the Lord lay."
Matthew 28:6
God sent His son, they called Him, Jesus;
He came to love, heal and forgive;
He lived and died to buy my pardon,
An empty grave is there to prove my Savior lives!
Chorus
Because He lives, I can face tomorrow,
Because He lives, all fear is gone;
Because I know He holds the future,
And life is worth the living,
Just because He lives!
How sweet to hold a newborn baby,
And feel the pride and joy he gives;
But greater still the calm assurance:
This child can face uncertain days because He Lives!
Chorus
Because He lives, I can face tomorrow,
Because He lives, all fear is gone;
Because I know He holds the future,
And life is worth the living,
Just because He lives!
And then one day, I'll cross the river,
I'll fight life's final war with pain;
And then, as death gives way to vict'ry,
I'll see the lights of glory and I'll know He lives!
Chorus
Because He lives, I can face tomorrow,
Because He lives, all fear is gone;
Because I know He holds the future,
And life is worth the living,
Just because He lives!

Ah, Pat! One of my favorites - one that chokes me up every time!
Taking a break from loading the SUV. We filled with gasoline yesterday & just need to put the boxes & other stuff inside. It is hot - Larry, but - it is a dry heat. Well, I do remember Dallas summers and it was worse with that humidity.
Don: Thank the Lord you ate all the grits. :coffee:
Whew I finally got here I have been trying to get in here for days and couldn't. today I had to type in the URL and get to the home page then click on Forum, the one that worked was at the bottom of the home page. Jane told me at lunch that all y'all were back online. I took Jane to lunch for her birthday.
Etta Sue yes it is me with the Motorola Citrus that is Android powered, just like your Droid. I do have Live Bible on mine, I did have the KJV, but uninstalled it and put on the Live B.
Now I should get myself out of this office and walk my dogs before it starts to rain again and while the sun is still out. It looks beautiful out my window.
Carol Gas here for premium is $3.97 per gallon, Gilbert told me yesterday that he paid $4.45 for premium in California.
Hello to everyone and have a God filled rest of the day.
Thanks, Larry for the link! I was starting to think I was being left out in the cold! Will we get email reminders now, as we did before? I hope so. I hadn't tried to get back on CP, guess I just thought we would be notified when it was back up. Oh, well, no problem.....I had four pages of posts to read, that was nice!
More later, have to go to my sisters, as a gal is coming to help us make up some flowers in preparation for Mom's transition to heaven.
We went to Toronto for an emergency root canal, for Everett, on Wednesday. I did get on yesterday, but just read.
Has anyone heard from Ruth Ann..... praying for her!!
Doing lots of bookkeeping; the end of the month for our church and tax filing for others.
I don't see my picture, however I wanted to change it, anyway.
It was supposed to reach 47 F (8 C) here, today.... cannot even imagine 100 F!!!!

Janet, we all just had to wait till it spread around the world. Some got in earlier than others. So glad you're here.
Talking about April Fool's... This is a fantastic one. Watch it to the end!

Back home again. This time, I took a break from the camera and left it home. I took a couple of photos with my phone camera but lost interest in that. I am not a people photographer.
We did stop at the Outlet Mall. I wanted to check out Bose to see if they had speakers that would work with my Droid. Reason? So I can make my Droid louder for Sunday School and use Audio Live Bible for the verses that we read. Yes, they do have speakers for Droid and he took me to the ones that I have sitting here at the table for my laptop. Sure enough Droid works with these speakers. Saved myself some money!
The purr-girls were leery of me when I came in the house. Isn't that funny when they do that? Act like you are a stranger and you have only been gone a couple of days? But once I fed them, they knew who I was!
I got a call from Tucson yesterday. My classmate, Rex, is in the hospital there. He has a pacemaker that causes him to have 'spells'. So I think they are waiting until he has a spell so they will know whether to put another wire on the existing pacemaker or implant a new one. He sounds good and strong, though.
We are to have high winds this afternoon up to 45mph. It was windy yesterday but calmed down. Everything is really greening up. Just a couple of hours south showed so much more spring blooms. I don't have a sign of anything on my forsythia bush but south they were all yellow!
I am working the projector system today and the ladies that went to the retreat are to sing a couple of song...not my thing at all! Plus we are to wear the little tiaras that we got...not my thing at all!
Then this afternoon I feel a nap coming on....if the wind doesn't blow me away! :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

Etta Sue I am so glad you had a good time. I understand about not being a "people photographer" I am not either!
This is the Lord's Day. Let us gather together and rejoice in Him!
Hi everyone. It is a beautiful Sunday morning here in Georgia but only 37 degrees. There is rain and possible straight line winds predicted for tonight if I heard the weather correctly.
Had the busy day yesterday that I expected but finished up the work I had to do before the Senior Golden Games begin on the 13th. One of the reports is 94 pages long so was thankful for the laser printer. We ended up with 279 folks registering to participate in some fashion or another. When the games start I will post the winners and then any photos that are made available for the various events.
I enjoyed the basketball games last evening although fell asleep before the last one was over. I was pulling for Kentucky as once lived close to Lexington, where the University of Kentucky is, and know that basketball is a really, really big thing for the State.
We will go to church today and then probably out to have a quick bite to eat. Pat was feeling better yesterday but still not much energy. At least she was able to eat a regular diet, although was staying away from spicy foods.
Etta Sue, you must get beautiful sound with the Bose speakers. I have some fairly inexpensive Altec Lansing speakers that produce beautiful sound as have a nice size subwoofer, which is under my desk. I have some really good earphones that I can use with my iPod docking station and get fantastic sound from them. Just using the little earbuds isn't bad but nothing to compare with the headset.
Pat, I watched the vido you linked. They did that stunt very well.
Ruth V, I really like your new avatar. I also like the new one that Carol is now using. Ruth V, those root canals are much easier to take when it is someone else having them. :)
Janet, glad to see that you are back online with us.
Marilyn, the gas in your area is much higher than ours. I filled one of the cars yesterday and it was $3.49. However, I had earned a ten cent reduction per gallon on my Kroger card so that helped a little bit.
Carol, I don't think I will ever forget the summer of 1964 when we lived in Oklahoma and we had over 30 days of continuous 100 degree or above days and we had no air conditioning. Pat was expecting our second child then and was having some problems so my dear grandmother came and stayed with us to help with the baby we already had and both she and Pat got food poisoning during this time. It is not a pleasant memory.
Pat, I remember that breakfast we all shared at the SeniorNet convention in Wilmington, North Carolina when you ate grits for the first time, if I recall correctly. There were seven of the volunteer hosts on the SN website and I think we were all there and really didn't fit in with the Learning Center folks so we just did our own thing. Do you remember the boat ride dinner the group had?
Don, your breakfast sounds like it would be tasty. I always like cheese in the grits, although don't mind them with just some butter in them.
Yes, Larry, I remember the little cruise. I have photos somewhere from that. It was nice. I remember still the sunset on the river.
I am starting a new week early. We are heading out to have a visit with John's Mom.
