Morning Devotional...
Jesus on the Vine and the Branches
John 15:1-16 NLT
"I am the true grapevine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch of mine that doesn't produce fruit, and he prunes the branches that do bear fruit so they will produce even more. You have already been pruned and purified by the message I have given you. Remain in me, and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in me.
"Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing. Anyone who does not remain in me is thrown away like a useless branch and withers. Such branches are gathered into a pile to be burned. But if you remain in me and my words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted! When you produce much fruit, you are my true disciples. This brings great glory to my Father.
"I have loved you even as the Father has loved me. Remain in my love. When you obey my commandments, you remain in my love, just as I obey my Father's commandments and remain in his love. I have told you these things so that you will be filled with my joy. Yes, your joy will overflow! This is my commandment: Love each other in the same way I have loved you. There is no greater love than to lay down one's life for one's friends. You are my friends if you do what I command. I no longer call you slaves, because a master doesn't confide in his slaves. Now you are my friends, since I have told you everything the Father told me. You didn't choose me. I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce lasting fruit, so that the Father will give you whatever you ask for, using my name.

Many people try to be good, honest people who do what is right. But Jesus says that the only way to live a truly good life is to stay close to him, like a branch attached to the vine. Apart from Christ our efforts are unfruitful.
Are you receiving the nourishment and life offered by Christ, the Vine? If not, you are missing a special gift he has for you.

Church was awesome as usual...anytime time worshipping our Lord is awesome.
Then four of us ladies went out to eat. We had breakfast...with an great waitress. We got a 10% discount because we were old!!! And another 25% discount for having a late breakfast! $3.03 for 2 biscuits w/gravy, 2 scrambled eggs and 2 strips of bacon! Not bad! In fact, it was very good!
It is warm again today...65°. But it is cloudy and overcast...and tornado watches to the south of us until 8pm in the WFMS radio listening area...that's me!
Spring brings tornadoes!!! >^..^< >^..^< >^..^< >^..^< >^..^< >^..^< >^..^< >^..^<

Thanks for the new place for the week, Etta Sue ... and for a great devotional.
I like the new avatar, too.
Etta sue I really like your new pic. It looks professionally done.
Thanks for the verses on the Vine and the branches. We must continue to draw our sustenance from the true vine!
I just talked to my sister Shirley, and she said my copies of her book are on the way! :cheer:  :pine: :laff: Can you tell I am excited? ;D
Thank you Etta Sue. I have been dwelling on this topic for a bit now.
Al, Janet and Etta Sue thank you for helping Pat outut in this way. You are appreciated.
We didn't go to church today, I have haqd a nasty dose of the flu. Hopefully I will be feeling better soon.
We have had nice weather over the last few days. The melt is snow and we have no flooding at the farm this year so far. The thaw is late, maple sap is not running quite yet. Our friend figures in another week or two. It is the night time temps that need to go up.
Well back to my gingerail and comfy chair.
Etta Sue, I love your new picture! You look absolutely beautiful!
Thanks to whoever finished my job...locking the old thread and stickying the new thread!
And thanks for the comment on my new photo...it is the photo taken for our church directory! I scanned it, cropped it and resized it!
:) Etta Sue: Very nice new picture and that is such a good deal that you got for a late breakfast after church
I have just heard the news about the Pastor being shot as he was preaching this morning at his church. Aman just walked in and walked down to the front of the church and the pastor approached him and spoke to him and the man pulled a gun and shot him but the gun jammed or more could have been killed. We have to pray for his family.
Etta Sue : Thanks for the good devotional I have always liked this scripture about the vines and the meaning of it.
Good night to all <3 Gord.
Happy Monday, everybody!! :)
Etta Sue, I do wish I knew how to put a new photo of me on here. But I don't. :-[
Do you all like this 'Spring Ahead' time change? I don't. But we have to live with it, anyway, and we will adjust.
I hardly know what to say, as I am feeling invisible again.
Have a wonderful day, and don't forget to thank God for your innumerable blessings!

Rough night of sleeping. I nodded off a dozen times while watching TV so I thought I would sleep good last night. Seems as soon as my head hit the pillow I was wide awake. Too hot...too cold...too much wind... We had tornado watches last evening and the wind sounded like it was taking off the roof! I finally got to sleep but the wind kept waking me. Rough.
Today Ivalou and I are going to pick up our taxes and then we are going to IHOP for lunch. Then this evening is Photo Guild!
Busy day. And I hope I get a call about scheduling my surgery!

Hi everyone. I just finished up the work I currently have on-hand for the Golden Games. I have processed 360 applications so far and it appears this will be around the final number of entrants. The president of the organization is disappointed as felt there would be around 500 or more this year. However, am sure the economy and overall uncertainty that exists in this area has had an impact. People just are not spending even if they have the money. It will still be a good games that start next month. I still have to produce a number of reports when I am given the final OK that there will be no more entrants to process.
Today is our men's luncheon and we are going to a new place for us, a Greek restaurant. I am looking forward to it as it is a nice day.
Etta Sue, I also like your new picture. I noticed it right off. Sure glad you didn't have a storm in your area. We also have tornado concerns in this area but certainly not the last few days, which have been beautiful. Thanks for the fine devotional for this upcoming week.
Janet, you are never invisible except when you are away and not posting and then you are missed (as are others who post regularly and then don't for awhile).
Gord, all the martyr's for Christ are not across the seas. We were talking about this tragic event at coffee this morning and apparently there is no known link to the gunman and that church.
Hi Marilyn, Jane, Melody and Samantha.
Judy, hope the flu is better today. Glad you are not having flooding. I heard on the news about flooding in the midwest that is occurring.
Liz, I would prefer the cherry blossoms. :)
I got these in an e-mail this morning and thought they might bring a smile to your faces if you haven't seen them before. I know I enjoyed them:

Etta Sue you make that sound so easy. I know what you are talking about with sleep. I have had nights like that. Seems to me that there is no solution, but I try to not doze before bed....not always easy.
Janet I understand how you feel about feeling invisible. Good thing we are invisible to our Lord. He sees right through us, and knows us intimately.
We got a new bed for the dogs and Dana lay down in Cimi's bed and proceeded to chew it up! Crazy dog, now I have a repair job!
John heads out today. Not sure where yet.
Have a good day everyone.
Larry that is too funny!!!
Thanks Larry, You made me laugh and it felt good.
Don
Thanks for a nice devotional, Etta Sue. Also, thanks for making me laugh this morning, Larry. This is what we woke up to:
(https://www.christianphotographers.com/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fv299%2Flizzy121%2FPicture004-1.jpg%3Ft%3D1236624081&hash=f60c416b024004b3bf37e428f0356e917e44fa11)
Supposed to take a little ferry ride over to Brentwood tomorrow for carpet bowling...does not look too promising at the moment. Wendy can no longer drive me when there is snow on the ground. Not strong enough now. I am beginning to feel like a jinx....everytime something is planned for my day....it snows!! :ticked:
Janet, you are not invisible and most definately missed when away. What a sad thing about that shooting at church.
Things to do, so Pleasant Day/Evening and God Bless.
Liz
I would like to read the book by the three men who spent about 6 years in captivity in Columbia. I think it is called "Out of Captivity." It is a true story of survival and the power of God, and how having a Bible helps.
Thanks, Liz, Larry and Judy. Nice to know I am missed when away.
Etta Sue, I have lots of nights like that. Hate 'em, but do not want to depend on sleeping pills.
We have been finalizing our packing. We zipped up and weighed our suitcases, and then I took out a few pounds of stuff. That 40# limit cuts things down a lot! And I want to have a little room to bring stuff home.
Thanks for the chuckles, Larry. Here is a little grin for you:
Always buy your parents nice gifts. You don't want to inherit junk.
Hey there, all y'all ... Yup, it's me (again) out of the corner -- but only for a moment, mind you. :D
Liz ... that's the way it looked here this morning, too!! :o Not s'posed to happen here on the south coast of Oregon --- and certainly not in March! 8)
We have snow as well. Thursday the temp is supposed to drop to -4F. The winter has been really rough this year.
I have been sleeping as the mood strikes as I have to be in town to pick up the girls at 2:00am.
I'll be back later God bless.
Jane it snowed in Coos Bay, Keith didn't say anything about snow in North Bend.
Speaking of sleep, I slept so sound last night that I didn't wake up until 5:30 when I am usually awake before 4:30. I am usually at Curves by 5:30 to work out. It is definitely unusual for me to sleep so sound too.
It was 29° this morning and another freeze warning for tomorrow morning just popped up on my weather channel icon.
Janet how long will you be gone this trip? Sorry you felt invisible, move over I am the invisible one here. I don't think I am ever missed.
Okay, all y'all "invisibles", listen up. :)
You're always missed and wondered about and prayed about when we don't hear your voice in here.
I was at the ear doctor, and am scheduled for another ear tube insertion on the 25th. Oh, how I look forward to it, because then I should hae no more ear infections while it's inserted. Thank you God for those who follow your guidance and invent what is needed to help our health.
Ruth Ann

Yup ... there was at least an inch of snow on the ground and covering all the trees around here. The sun came out (for a while) and it's all gone now. Oops, just looked out the window and it's snowing again. Actually, it's what they're calling a "wintry mix" because it's snow and rain together. 8)
The cold night is probably why you slept so soundly. I know, when I bundle up against the cold nights here, I sleep very well ....
BTW, I must remind you that this is MY corner! I have seniority (in more ways than one) over you and Janet, but you know you are always welcome to share it with me. Just bring a plate of goodies when you come. :D
Okay, Ruth Ann .... I do understand, and I also really appreciate your prayers and concern. <3 Sure have been praying for you and your ear problems. Get well soon, okay?
Also, Janet ... you should know better than to think you're invisible. Not when you post in bold blue! :D
I went to renew my driver's license this afternoon and am really surprised how easy it was. I have been studying the Drivers Manual and was sure I'd have to take a test ... not so. ;) Since I'm older than 50 I had to take a vision test but that was even simpler!
Then came the part I really hadn't been looking forward to ... the photo! :-[ Oh, well, hopefully it won't be seen too often in the next 8 years. :-\
Jane: I understand about the picture on your license - I had to wait in line for more than three hours & it took a toll - all the Californians were moving into our state - it was unreal. A girl in front fainted and paramedics came & we all laughed because now we could move ahead one space.
Don set all the clocks ahead in this house and then I told him that Arizona doesn't have Daylight Saving Time. ;D
We had company for lunch & it turned out fine even though it was almost last minute - lunch was coleslaw, crab cakes, and lemon pie. Whew - then we took a long walk & came back & I came close to snoozing on the sofa. They did give me two hours notice.
Just finished reading a good Jeffery Archer book and now the library book is Max Lucado, "Cure for the Common Life". A nice, calming message.

Three hours!!! :o It took only minutes for me to be in and out at the DMV today. I went in the afternoon, took a number, and barely sat down when I was called. Everything went very smoothly. When I went to get the registration changed for my newly acquired car, I went in the morning and there was quite a crowd ahead of me. That took about 45 minutes. ;) I don't know if the difference was time of day or weather related. It did snow here today, although there were several "sun breaks" between rain showers later in the day. hmmmm
I giggle at you west coasters and the snow. We expect snow up to the end of April then a rapid warming, till mid August and we can expect night frosts again!!!! I love the area, scenery, and the summers but the winter is just tooo long. I have questioned why I stay!
I am dreading the time when we will have to do the license thing. John will have to redrive the driven part to maintain the Semi classification, when he turns 65. He has decided he won't do that, he will get a different job.
Well I got the call from the CO of Air Cadets. 2:00AM is right on. So we all will be sleeping in tomorrow.
Night all.
By the way Liz that is a beautiful picture!
Hi all,
I am up a bit late tonight, and have caught up reading your posts. Etta Sue, loved your new photo!
Liz, that is a very pretty scene with the snow. I wish we could see some snow or rain. It has not snowed all winter, only a light dusting once or twice, like powdered sugar. As Janet calls it, "the Winter that wasn't". That certainly describes it for our area. They say it will be cold the end of the week and maybe some precipitation. We have had some awful wind storms lately. Yuck!
We went to two churches Sunday and heard good music and sermons at both. One at 8:30 and the other at 10:30. It is not an easy thing to decide on a new church but it is very necessary. We do not like to change churches but when it gets to the point that it brings tears to my eyes on a Sunday morning and I don't even want to get dressed to go, then it is time.
My brother Jay has had two surgeries so far. I am not sure if more are scheduled or not. He had more pain after the second one. They were able to re-attach some tendons though, and that is good. He will find out this week if he will have a skin graft done. Thanks for your prayers for him. My brother Wes who had the prostate cancer surgery is doing fine now.
Hope all of you are doing well.
Hugs, Janice
Janice I am sorry about the necessary change in churchs This is a difficult time un your lives. It is sad when things go awry in a ministry. We have seen that too.
Well the girls are home. Kass is still really sick. I am taking her to the walk in clinic tonight. It opens at 5:30. Seems like a dose of bronchitis. Both girls have sore ears from the plane. Neither can get them to "pop". Above all that though they had a fabulous time with their counterparts in New Brunswick. They did go to PEI, and saw Confederation Museum, an aquarium that was closed but especially opened for them, as well as Cows Milk IceCream. Stories are still coming. I kept them home for today as we didn't get to bed till 3:30. Kassie bought me a porcelain Anne Of Green Gables doll. It is beautiful.
I must go and get the fire going.

Okay, okay, okay!!
Sorry about that! I was feeling disappointed that nobody commented about my sister's book. I got my copy yesterday, and she dedicated it to ME!! Big surprise, and I am so pleased. I sat right down and read the whole book, and really enjoyed it. It is the story of our family, from the time my parents met, up through the time we kids left home, and a little beyond.
Ruth Ann, I'm so glad you will be getting relief for your ear. Earaches are NOT nice.
We are going to Garden City today, at least that's the plan......but Darrel has been vomiting. Please, Lord, don't let him be sick! I think it is because he took his pills on an empty stomach this morning.
To answer your question, we will be gone for 32 days this time. So we are looking for some kind of phone whereby we can get in touch; as I don't like to be out of touch with our Moms and Beth for that long.
It is cloudy and cooler here today, but still no moisture.
Good Morning. Jane I hope it is as quick for me when I go to register my car for Oregon and get new plates etc. Then I need to get my new drivers license, and tags for the dogs, I don't know where to get the dogs tags yet but I will sure look into that right away.
I was so busy sorting through my old metal desk yesterday that I forgot to eat breakfast until 11:45 so just ate lunch instead. Gilbert came by to say hi while he was in town so I had him help me put the desk out by the street with a free sign on it. I hope someone comes along and takes it.
Judy I hope the girls ears "pop" so they won't be in pain and that Kass gets better real soon.
Janet In researching online for a new cell phone I found that Verizon has the best area coverage. But you have to get a two year contract when you sign up. most of the cell phone companies want you to sign a two year contract., unless you are going only buy you minutes in advance then maybe you can try Tracfone.
http://tracfone.com/ (http://tracfone.com/)
Thanks Marilyn.
Janet I have been wondering if there was a way I could buy a copy of your book?
This is one of those boring days that I hate, well I have sewing I can do.
(https://www.christianphotographers.com/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi195.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fz77%2FEttaSue%2FCP%2FAnis%2FCatbopping.gif&hash=86ad8cd88ed242ad86db412eff8564112b977246)
Verizon does have a pay-as-you-go plan. Ivalou has it. But if you don't already have a Verizon phone, you have to purchase one and then pay ahead for the minutes. They don't advertise the pay-as-you-go plan, though.
And Janet ~ I did think to myself when reading about your sister's book...how great that would be for Ivalou and I to collaborate a book of memories! What a treasure to pass down through the years.
And JudyB ~ I had to laugh about your dog chewing the bed. Last night at Guild a person had printed a photo. It was of a beautiful Collie dog sitting beside something with white at the top half. We asked what is that white? It was stuffing on a chair where the dog had chew the covering off!!! And it wasn't her dog...she was dog sitting!!! The Collie looked so cute and innocent!
Today is a nothing day...meaning I don't have to go anywhere. But I am drying my third load of laundry. And I have a pot of my favorite meal on the stove. Smoked sausage, green beans, potatoes, carrots and onions! The house smells wonderful!!! Almost time for lunch!
I am still amazed at how great the photos that the members of Kilbuck Photo Guild presents for us all to view and gently critique. We viewed about 75 prints, slides and digital photos...every last one of them were superb!
Tomorrow is Red Hats. I understand we are eating at Bird's Smokehouse BBQ...the same place 60 Chix are having lunch the following day! Hope they have a variety of items on the menu or they have exceptionally great food! Tomorrow we are visiting a Christian Bible Store also. @_@_@_@_@_@_@_@_@_@_@_@_@_@_@

:cheer: Etta Sue: I think that you have a very funfilled life and I have never heard of so many different restaurants that you go to. You do a lot of fun things and it is great how the Lord gives you the strength to do all these things. God bless your week.Iforgot to say that I like your new picture.
Judy B. Sis. That's funny about the dog bed. I hope that the girls will get there strength back soon. I got a very nice email from Heather. God bless. <3
To all others I have read your posts and will be remembering you all. Have a great week and may the Lord richly bless you. Gord. :coffee:
Marilyn and Etta Sue--We have Verizon, as they just bought out Alltel. But they do not have world-wide phone service. And we checked on TracFone today--they have international service BUT only if you are calling from the US, not TO the US, so that doesn't help us at all. I guess we will just buy a card when we get there that gives us an hour or two of prepaid calling, and use a phone there. I don't know what else to do. You can buy a European chip, but not one for Asia. Crazy.
My sister's book is $12.00, and if any of you want a copy, just let me know, or you can email her at just4me@satelephone.com and she will get it into the mail for you. I'm not sure what the postage would be, but she is selling this first batch at her cost, so it would be necessary to pay the postage. (Anyway it would be nice!)
We just got home from Garden City, got the few things still needed for our trip; mostly Darrel's prescriptions. We had to get them at Wal*Mart, as our local pharmacy wouldn't give him enough for the 32 days we will be away. How silly is that? :-\
I need to go check on my Beth girl.
Janet, I easily followed your saga of your sister's book, for my own brother has a book of devotions for men who travel - the focus is on personal purity while away from the family. It will be published soon, with a price similar to your sister's (if my memory serves me right).
It's a wonderful thing when we can share in our family's love and joy of the skills of our family members. My brother has turned out to be sooo great (and his wife, as well). Mother and Dad are surely smiling today.
I went to the longevity center this afternoon and exercised for about an hour. It's my "inaugural" visit, since I've been so busy either packing at the house or unpacking and putting away here at my new home. Ahhhh, how refreshing to do the exercises that help strengthen my legs. And, once the ear is better, I'll be able to go into the pool for water therapy, too. :)
Then, I went to the post office and mailed off my passport renewal application. Jane, I understand about yukky pictures...what a shame I'm stuck with this one on the passport for 10 more years. :( But, it's a cinch, I don't want to be without the passport, just in case I need to go to my son over there for some reason.
And, a pot of ole fashioned goulash is on the stove simmering to go with me to the Bible study this evening. Smells yummy.
Imagine! Here there's a chance we'll break a more than 100 year old heat record of a high of about 80 degrees - then a cold front comes through tonight and tomorrow the high will only be in the 40s.
Y'all have a great rest of the day.
Ruth Ann: A pot of goulash send some to my house I have not had that for some time.
We woke up to fog and now that is gone but we now have sun and wind and I expect the temp. will be dropping later in the day.
Company for Mel has just arrived giving me a reason to stay and play a little longer here. Not that I can't join in. I just got a phone call will have to go and try to find some info. from our guest.
Ruth
Etta Sue I had a night like yours earlier. The dogs were even bothered by the weather. Rain, and high winds gusts up to 50 KM. Now that works out to 8- mph. Times like this concern me because of the trees near the house. We have 2 spruce trees about 80 feet tall that are near the house and would fall on our bed is they came down!!! They are pretty healthy so that isn't likely to happen but it does worry one.
I have the fire going, and Kass is home with a severe dose of bronchitis. I will be calling the school for work when I am done here.
Must run I have a lot to do today.
I am taking a little break from getting some of the final packing done of the things I know I won't be using between now and then. It was sure cold here when I got up this morning. 29°.
I've got a load of laundry in the dryer, and cleaned under the kitchen sink, what mess that was so there had been a leak I guess and the metal containers left rust marks that I had a hard time scrubbing away.
Judy, sorry to hear that Kassie is so sick, Did you change Gyp's name to something else? I haven't seen you say anything about him.
Good for you Ruth Ann going to the gym to work out, I know you will feel so much better and feel so full of life.
Well I think I will go walk the dogs. I didn't got o Curves this morning as I didn't wake up until 5:30 and decided to stay home where it was warm.
HI everyone. This has been a busy day so far and still have choir practice this evening. However, it is nice and warm and we have the front door open. It is now 74 degrees. Tomorrow will be a little cooler.
This morning after coffee Pat and I went to Bible study with the pastor. We had a group of 20 seniors meeting this morning. Several of us then did our usual thing and went to the donut shop. We left a little early as I wanted to get home to finish up the reports I was printing out for the Golden Games. I had to create a new report that was needed and that took a lot of time as I have had no training in using the Microsoft Access Program. However, finally got it created. My son is the expert, who designed the database we are using and created the other reports. I expected the lady I am working with on the Games to stop by and pick up the reports but it doesn't look like she will stop by today. I think I have all my work one on the Games for this year except to print out a few sponsor certificates of appreciation when I get the list.
Janet, that was nice of your sister to dedicate the book to you and sure she wanted to surprise you when you read it in print. I didn't comment as you discussed the book not from a lack of interest but because I didn't have anything of interest to say regarding it. Hope Darrell is feeling better soon.
I have enjoyed all the postings today, except for the new of those not feeling well. See you all tomorrow.

Today was Red Hats. Bird's Smokehouse BBQ was fairly good. I was a little disappointed. Probably what I ordered. But I am going back again tomorrow with the 60 Chix so I will order something different. The building is really nice. All logs, new and clean facility! We were the first ones there today but before we left, it filled up!
Then we went shopping at a couple of places and then stopped at Dairy Queen for dessert!
And talk about cold. Here it was 74° yesterday and today it is only 35° right now and suppose to get down to 20° tonight! Everyone will have colds by the weekend! The wind is fierce. Never have had winds in Indiana like this year! When you are out in it, it cuts to the bone!! ^+^+^+^+^+^+^+^+^+^+^+^+^+^+^+^+^+^+^+^+^+^+^+

It is cold here today and the wind hasn't stopped. I can see trees down in the bush, that will be the beginning of our wood supply for next year. I drove out to pick up Kassie's puffers and saw others have trees down as well. We are having a hard time getting the house warm, it is an old farm house, with little insulation. The wind seems to go right through the walls.
This has been a quiet day, Kass has been home and I always enjoy the girls company one on one. Kass goes to camp again this year, she is taking either Itac or intro to areospace. Both are 6 week courses. We are hoping for the aero space as it will lead to her getting her wings. Also the course is about 2 hours away and we will be able to go down and see her. The other course is in Trenton and that is 8 hours away. That is minus all the stops the bus makes.
Well I am off to make supper, will maybe be back later.
Just a couple lines to say howdy. I have company from Dallas, and she doesn't often get here, so I'm off this thing to enjoy her company. See you tomorrow!
Morning all. Just a quick note very early in the morning. I am driving the girls down to the bus.
I will be back, later.
Good morning: We woke to a big skift of snow which has not all gone yet.
At the present I am getting the banking up to date before heading for an eye appointment this afternoon. I expect to be getting the drops so will not be able to see things right for a while after. I hope the news is not bad but I do know that there is something to be concerned about.
Again the phone is on hold seems to happen when you are busy doing something. Have a wonderful day.
Ruth I am praying about your eye condition.
This is another cold day. I had a call from the school about the girls course selection for next year. That is now all set up.
I have a lot I want to accomplish today so I am off here for now. Be back later.
I think I have gotten nearly everything done that is needed before we leave. At least, I hope so!
I have emailed and received responses from both of our Thai "grandkids" Joe and Aimmy. Both are excited to have us coming again, and Joe will even meet us at the airport! We are so pleased about that.
Darrel has gotten the alarm put into service, and is taking care of other things like that.
I have taken money for Beth and put it with the office personnel. They are only allowed a few dollars in their rooms, to lessen the temptations of theft.
I'm so glad Beth is loved by the people working at the home; and they assure me they will take good care of her, and get everything moved for her on the 25th.
So....just a few last-minute things, and when Saturday morning arrives, we are out of here!
(https://www.christianphotographers.com/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi195.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fz77%2FEttaSue%2FCP%2FAnis%2FJesusLovesYou.gif&hash=9431f789ba7c457dd562f33945eb1417cb684eb8)
Today was 60 Chix at Bird's Smokehouse BBQ. Better today than yesterday. I ordered a different meal. But I don't think I would make a special trip there for a meal again! There were 7 of us there today. I thought there would be a lot more but wasn't.
I forgot my camera but another girl had hers so I brought the Smart Card home and saved the pic on my laptop and took her Smart Card back. She only lives a block or two away. But she wanted me to see some photos she took in Florida. So I was gone this afternoon, too.
Now Kitty and I are going for pizza at 5:30pm. Her hubby won't be home this evening!
Tomorrow the ladies in the church are going to Brown County, Indiana, to a Ladies Retreat. We are going to a different motel this time. We will spend the night and come home Saturday afternoon! + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + +

I always really enjoy spiritual retreats, Etta Sue. What a time of blessing and making new friends, too.
Janet, safe travels, dear. You and Darrel work so hard, it's great that y'all can play a bit as well.
I forgot my morning meds, so ended up falling back asleep and not awakening until almost 1 pm. Of course, head was aching and blood sugars elevated. Not a good thing to do.
The weather's teetering on the brink of a winter storm all day today. So, I want to check out the forecast before leaving the premises. I really need to get a new battery for my watch and also one of the wireless phones in my apartment. And, of course, I have a whole laundry list of things needing to be done while I'm out. hmmmm, I may just "table" everything until tomorrow! :)
Y'all have a good evening.
Hi everyone. This was a very busy day here but the weather, while a little cooler, was still very nice and we were able to have the front door open this afternoon for awhile.
I had to have a blood test done to check on the PSA count (routine) so after coffee and walking this morning I headed out. After the blood test I stopped at MicroCenter and got another meg of memory for Pat's computer. This should speed it up. I am going to clone her hard drive and put in a larger one that I have on hand.
Then I attended our bi-monthly retirees luncheon at a Ryan's Steakhouse. There were only 4 of us there, including my last boss when I came back to Atlanta. I hadn't seen him since 1995. We had a very nice time of catching up on folks we had all worked with over the years.
Here I am again, I do not usually return twice in one day let alone every day.
Thought I would share the news about my eye appointment. I was at the specialists for 3 1/2 hours visited 4 different rooms 4 different tests and in between sat in 4 different waiting rooms, the end result I have what is called a horners eye (one pupil is larger than the other) usually about 3 cases a yr for this Dr. so I happen to be one of them. How did it happen he has suggested that at some point since I had last seen him or an eye Dr. I had picked up an infection that affected one of the nerves that goes to the eye. Now I am different one pupil larger than the other but no damage of any kind to my vision. Praise the Lord for that.
This sure made for a long afternoon and an even longer one for Mel as he came along in case I needed drops to enlarge the eye and also to save on parking fees. I really feel that when seeing a Dr. of any kind we should not have to pay for parking but that is the way things are, so live with it we must do.
Judy: Thanks for praying
I must get busy with my knitting again.
I wrote this lot out once, then failed to post it, so here we go again. Hi folks, not had much patience to upload or comment on anything these past few months, chiefly because the council has left me without any adequate heating, apart from an electric fire that guzzled electric and doesn't give out any heat, 4 killowatts to be precise, so its like living on a park bench here, however social services are going to try and remedy the situation on medical grounds for me. All I've been trying to do all winter is just keep as warm as possible, hot water, bottles coats, etc.
Health wise, not so good, had a fall in November that kept me more or less housebound for several weeks, a few weeks ago I didn't know where to put myself because of pain in the left hand side of my groin, went to accident and emergency twice, turns out to be kidney stones. Friday night, I burnt my foot, on a hot water bottle in bed trying to keep warm, I can't imagine how I'd placed the hot water bottle at the foot of the bed, but having no sensations in my feet, I fell asleep and got some serious blisters around my toes, didn't realise just how bad the burns were till Monday morning and saw the swellings on my foot. Treatment room at the health center did my foot up, then Tuesday diabetic foot clinic to have it checked out thoroughly, the consultant was Welsh, had a very wry sense of humour, nice chap though. But its times like these you could do with some companionship and help though. That burn was the result of not being able to get adequately warm, and being able to sit in front of a nice warm fire, you go to bed chilled and you need instant heat hence two very hot water bottles.
Margery went to have a cornea graph, very successful, she can do her sudoku now, either I'm thick, quite likely, but I look at sudoku puzzles and my mind goes blank, haven't a clue. Margery also had an exploratory to find out what was causing a blockage of her bowel, I thin that must have caused her to have a colapse with bleeding from her bowels. She was rushed to hospital almost at deaths door, she was delirious for days, when I got to see her she was as usual turning the hospital ward into a holiday camp, anyway she has diverticular disease, polyps on her colon, that hemorage, every now and then.
Well I got a new computer, and a flat screen monitor instead of the CRT that made my pictures look ok to me but very light to everybody else, soon after I let Gillian, Margery's grandaughter, use facebook, she must have opened a photograph of someone she knew with a virus attached which hijacked my computer, the only way I could get rid of it was to reformat the disks and put a fresh operating system on, Windows Vista, ok its quick, but its finicky, doesn't like this, doesn't like that, had to download the drivers from the internet to get my Epson R200 printer to work, still haven't got my flatbed scanner to work with vista yet.
Then there was Photoshop Elements, absolutely refuses to load, had to get a Leica D lux 3 camera, to get a later version of Photoshop Elements. Felt I was getting left behind, not by technology, but the need to be able to have images I can upload to the computer within a short period from when I took them, I still like 35mm for serious work, but its nice also to share pictures without the waiting for the end of the film., well that's it for now, love you all Michael.
P.S. Rick Warren, The Purpose Driven Life, is a book I've been reading of late, if you can get hold of a copy, it is upbuilding for both individuals and the church too, if fellowship is loosing track of what Christianity is about, this is the book that should rebuild that Christ centeredness, and your own unique position within the body of believers, it would make an excellent group study book, as that is what it is meant to be, there are forty short chapters altogether, excellent reading.
Summicron, I'm so sorry you and your wife have had so many difficulties. I'll definitely be praying about these problems. I don't know if you can find a way to get an electric mattress pad, but I can tell you that it's a great invention! My bedroom is very chilly, but that mattress pad certainly warms me. And, it must not use much electricity, since it only heats the area where weight is on it. (primarily, of course, my own body :) ) That was the present I requested at Christmas time.
Larry, I've seen notifications twice on my computer the last few days saying the computer was allotting more space by rearranging my memory (or something to that effect). Would you think I need to add more memory?
I know it's late, but my days n nights may have gotten a bit mixed up. In forgetting to take my a.m. meds, then sleeping until lunchtime, seem to have kept me from sleeping at a normal time tonight.
God's blessings be with us all.
Michael, I am truly sorry to read of all that you and Margery have been going through this winter. I am standing (kneeling) along with Ruth Ann in prayer for you both. I certainly pray your social services will step up and help you get adequate heat and help.
Thank you, so much, for bringing your needs to us here so that we can unite in prayer for you.
God bless you.
Ruth Ann ... I often have those kind of nights -- sleepless, that is. Probably because I seem to be cold here, too. I don't have a lot of wood left, and the man who brought it to me told me he has no more and has lost his connection for getting any. I'm trying to portion it out, little by little, for it to take me the rest of the way through this winter. Hopefully Spring will arrive before long. :-\
Gotta get stuff shut down here soon ... it's already Friday the 13th on Oregon's south coast. :)
Father, I pray for Michael that he'll be able to get adequate heat, and for his wife that she'll be able to get help for the problems with the colon.
Jane - will you be able to find a source for wood before next winter? Father, I pray You'll enable Jane to be adequately supplied with wood. Oh Father - we depend upon You for everything! In Your Son we have our needs supplied.
(https://www.christianphotographers.com/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi195.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fz77%2FEttaSue%2FCP%2FAnis%2FCatspread.gif&hash=0090837f76bbc1277981eeb1ee7ee74d3bebe4aa)
My problem is I get too hot in the night and wake up, move around to find a cool spot in bed...which is sometimes hard to do with two cats on the bed also.
I had a rough night last night. Kitty and I went for pizza for supper and they didn't have caffeine free Diet Coke. I can't seem to drink water with pizza... ??? So I couldn't get to sleep until after 2am.
We had a great time at 60 Chix. I thought there would be about 10 of us and we ended up with only 7. But that is a nice bunch for talking.
I have my test stimulation surgery scheduled now. I hadn't heard from the surgery scheduler and the receptionist at Noblesville told me if I hadn't heard anything by today to call the number she gave me for Laura. I called and Laura didn't have any papers on me. So she called me back and said surgery was scheduled for April 17 in the afternoon. I wanted it done Monday.... :o last Monday... :D She will be sending me papers in the mail to tell me what time and when my Dr. appointment will be after the 'test'. At least I am heading the right direction!
We are heading to Brown County for the Women's Retreat around 2pm. I am taking my camera and trying to decide if I want to take my laptop. If I take very many pictures I could edit them there but then we always seem to be so busy so probably wouldn't get any editing done after all. What to do? ::) ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
(https://www.christianphotographers.com/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi195.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fz77%2FEttaSue%2FCP%2FDailys%2F%253Cbr%2520%2F%253ELgtyt2.gif&hash=769c4962619c97f60e1cb2d08a548ed58bc9e39a)
Good Morning, Just running through here at the moment, I have read all the posts and will be praying for Michael and Margery shortly. I have a load of dark clothes in the dryer and , now I am off to Tai Chi Practice, then on to Safeway to buy some coffee, (I'm out) . Back packing, walking the dogs and stop for a visit to see Willa.
TTYL
Well Etta, lets put it this way, if the laptop fits in your suitcase, and doesn't weigh too much, I'd take it along even if you don't use it, at least its there.
yes we did!!! it was amazing!! it leaves me wanting to go back for more!!! the seanery and boats and the WORLDS BIGGEST LOBESTER IS 25 LBS!!!! i only wish i had a camara well mom that is on my X-MAS list and it will probabilly be the only thing too;)
talk to you all later
God Bless
Kazzii
Well Kazzii, I'm sure your birthday comes before Christmas, or maybe daughters day, like that comes early next week, or very soon anyway.
Michael I have been thinking about you and wondering what was going on. We haven't heard from you for so long. I am sorry about your trouble, and I AM praying for you.
Jane I have wood for you!!! I am praying sister.
Yes Kass did enjoy the trip. And Kass I know you want a camera, but that goes to dad first!! Sorry!
It was a late night for me as well last night. Not much sleep. The weather is bright and sunny, the temps are to rise by the weekend. HAve a good day Folks.
If I'm careful, and warmer weather comes soon, I can manage for a while. :-\ Some time ago (probably last summer) a woman called me to say she had wood for me. At the time I didn't need it and didn't have a place for it. I will call her again, when the weather dries out a bit, and see if they can bring wood to season for next winter. I know my Father knows what I need and, at the moment I don't need it. If I needed it today, He has told me He will supply all my needs. I trust Him fully.
It would be a long way to get wood...from me, but we would have a nice visit!
I have the fire going, but it is taking time to warm up the house. I have a lot I want to accomplish today but want to be somewhat warm first.
Did you all hear about the helecopter accident off the coast of Newfoundland? It was ferrying workers to the hybernia oil rig when it sent out a mayday. One body has been found, and one alive. There were 16 on the 'copter. This was yesterday am. So sad.
I will be back. Talk later.
Michael, those are just too many problems! I am adding my prayers for you and Margery to the others here.
Jane, I pray your weather warms up, or you get wood, or whatever it takes. God knows! And He is our source, as you have experienced so many times.
Today is our last day at home before we will be away for 34 days! Boy, that sounds like a long time---bet we will be more than ready to come home!
I still have a few little things to do, want to get everything crossed off my list!
Etta Sue, glad you have your surgery scheduled!
Thanks Janet, I seem to be in the trenches at the moment, but once my foot heals I think I'll feel a lot better, and somethings being done about the heating, whether it will succeed yet I don't know, what's paining me at the moment is the pot they put on my leg it causes my muscles to hurt, when I stand or just sit, laid down my foot's just fine, at the health center, I was nearly in tears with the ache, just standing there even for a few moments.
The other week when the groin pains started, I was in Burnley, looked on the floor, and found a wedding ring, large fitting, very narrow, but 22 carat gold, made me think about Bilbo Baggins, finding the ring of doom. Mind you I've been feeling a bit thin and watery since I found it, and that weird writing that appeared when I accidentally dropped it on the gas ring of my cooker ;D
There is a new salad recipe HERE (http://www.christianphotographers.com/community/index.php?topic=8148.msg130445#msg130445)
Hi everyone. This has been a bit of a down day for me as this old ticker seems to be giving me more problems and I just don't feel up to par. I did attend the volunteer's meeting this morning but didn't stay for the User Group meeting that followed lunch. I came home and rested for a couple of hours and felt better but after getting up haven't felt very good and will retire early tonight. I am awaiting my doctor to put me back on Renexa, which is for angina pain and something I took a couple of years ago when it was new. I am sure he will put me back on it and since I have some left from when I took it before I started on it again this afternoon. Hope to feel better tomorrow.
Michael, it sounds like you all have had a miserable winter and sure sorry to hear that you haven't had warmth.
Ruth Ann, it does sound like you could use more RAM in your computer if you are getting that message. It would also speed up your computer.
Janet, have a great trip. We will miss your postings.
Etta Sue, good thing you followed up on the paperwork. Glad you finally have a scheduled date for the procedure.
Ruth, that sounds like very good news on your eyes.
Michael so sorry to read about your problems. When one is cold the whole world is wrong. I trust that Margery gets relief as well God knows all and is by your side all the way.
Jane: I trust that you will be able to get wood when it is needed.
Larry: I hope that your meds start working soon.
We had a cool but sunny day, later in the afternoon I went to check out a New Wal Mart and is it ever huge so big that they have a Tim Hortons as well as McDonalds all the other Wal Marts that I know of have only McDonalds
Marilyn: When does your move take place? Big changes for you as well.
Janet: Enjoy your vacation.
Ruth I am moving Next week Saturday. The 21st.
Ruth Glad your appt gave you answers.
LArry I am praying the meds take effect soon, and that the Dr gives you what you need to feel better soon.
John is home again and today he has a safety meeting. They are saying it is manditory but they aren't paying the men to attend. So I am wondering how many will actually will be there. To be manditory they have to pay the men for their time.
It is a bright sunny day out today. The snow is gradually evaporating. We have grass back, but can expect more of the white stuff by the middle of the week. Tomorrow is to be +45 F which will be nice.
I have John's meals to prepare. This week was a small pay, so I didn't do a full shopping. The girls are off for March Break which eases up on the lunch supplies. Still I am thankful he is working for this company. The smaller companies are going out of business because of the economy. One company in North Bay has 120 power units (truck semis) sitting on the fence because of the lack of work. Those drivers are now looking for work.
Well must go, be back later.
Hi all ...
It's raining again here. I don't know if I'll have a fire today or not. I may just snuggle down under my fleece blanket and read.
Judy, it sure is a long ways to get some of your wood, but we could have a great visit anyway. Maybe "next time" ... that's what we always used to tell the kids when something didn't work out. ;)
Jes Jane I would love that, To sit and have coffee/tea and cake together. So much to talk about and pray about. Would be lovely!
I had a message and lost it. It is a beautiful day in Nobleton. Later this afternoon we are going to a cousins for dinner but before leaving I have dust bunnies to take care of.
Judy: The safety meetings are becoming common if you want to keep your job. The school bus industry is doing the same and yes it is with pay but it does use up a lot of a persons free time, glad it is in my past. I am not above safety but I do and did enjoy my time.
Marilyn: I was talking with my daughter and jicame in not in the store were she works.
God Bless Ruth
Hi, friends,
Larry, I'm so sorry you don't feel well. Our Father, we pray for strength and healing for Larry. This good man has served you for years, and we pray You'll allow him to regain strength and be able to serve You and be with his dear wife and family many more years to come.
Jane, I sure wish you could bring a trailer here to TN. We could sure cut down a bunch of wood for you to get seasoned for next winter just off the back of my lot!
I surely am concerned about all those seeking for work. After having had a two year period of either no-employment or under-employment (at one time I worked 3 part-time jobs to survive), I can really empathize with their problems.
Well, I suppose Janet and Darrell are on their way! Hope it's a wonderful season of renewal and refreshment for them as they're away.
Well, I must get started on the PowerPoints for tomorrow's services. So, had better close out for now. Y'all know how much I love and appreciate each one of you. Have a blessed rest of the day. :)
Ruth Ann
I also pray for you, Larry. I know you've been battling heart problems for some time now, but i pray you'll get it fixed up once again and feel more like your old self.
I'm still battling some things too. My hip situation is still a problem. If i go to bed, lie on the left side for a while, it starts to ache. So I'm still sleeping most of the time in the recliner. I try the bed every few days, with the idea that maybe I just need to get used to it again (it was just a bit over a year that I've been in the recliner at night). So God bless you and me!
Al I can sympathize with your hip problems since I ave been having such pain with mine, however the PT is helping and the pain is much less and less frequent as well.
Larry I too am praying for you. Just this morning I prayed fro your heart to be strengthened and for you to feel better.
Jane I don't want to wait too long to get back into exercising, so I am only going to wait a few days before going to Inch by Inch, Are you still willing to met me there?
I will probably have take the dogs with me and leave them in the car the first few times, until they acclimate to living in a different house. So I will want to go early enough that it is cool enough for them in the car.
And God bless us, every one! ala Tiny Tim ;)
Marilyn, I don't know what you mean by "early" but I don't want to do the 5:30 thing you're used to at Curves. :-\ It's not warm any time of the day around here lately.
Also, my bank account is suffering malnutrition lately ... my wallet died of starvation.
Jane I am so sorry to hear of the recent death of your wallet, please accept my condolences.
I wasn't talking about 5:30 I doubt I would be going that early. Maybe after shortly after 8:00 or maybe 9:00 I probably won't start until after the 1st of next month anyway so maybe your wallet will be resurrected from it's untimely death but around the 3rd of next month. It would get too warm in the car if parked in the sun at anytime of year.
What sun? 8)
Thank you for the condolences. The 3rd of the month does have a certain ring to it. ::)

The retreat was fun! We stayed in Room 25 (http://www.cornerstoneinn.com/room25.html). The spreads were different. The little loveseat at the foot of the high bed was a hide-a-bed. Marge slept there. Jane slept in the high bed and Ivalou and I slept in the Queen size bed. All the rooms are lovely and full of antiques. We were about a block away from the main Inn. At the Inn in the basement, they have snacks all the time for the guests!!! Brownies, homemade chocolates, a Banana pudding like stuff, homemade cookies. We met at the Chapel at 5:30 for prayer and then crossed the street for dinner at the Artist Colony.
Then back to the Chapel for games and a guest speaker. Then to the dining room for snacks!!! After that we had spa treatments. One gal sells lotions so we had an area for feet, one for lips, one for hands...rubbing lotions on to defoliate and then lotions to moisturize and soften. Another gal just graduated from massage therapy schooling and brought her massage table. Most women received neck and shoulder massages.
After that we headed back to our rooms. Then up this morning at 6:30. We were to be where the snacks were last night but this morning it was transformed to breakfast. Scrambled eggs, breakfast casseroles, pasteries to die for!, coffee, tea, juice, cheeses, and a huge bowl of cut up fruit. Then at 9am back to the Chapel for a skit and a prayer for safe travels going home.
We left around 10:30am...we were shopped out and tired from stairs. Stairs to our room...stairs to the snack and breakfast room...lots of stairs! But us four ladies stopped for Chinese fairly close to home. All and all it was a great retreat! And no, we didn't have to pay those prices! Everything but our meal last night was $45...not bad for so much fun!
I took my camera but I didn't take it out of the case. I didn't take the laptop...no time to use it anyway!
Now tomorrow is church! (^)(^)(^)(^)(^)(^)(^)(^)(^)(^)(^)(^)(^)(^)(^)(^)(^)(^)(^)

Hi everyone. Happy to say that I am feeling better today so all the prayers are really helping. I am hopeful that the new medication will continue to cover the pain so I will feel like taking care of normal things. I am hopeful that I will feel up to doing my share of the effort tomorrow evening when our choir does the chili show and talent supper for our congregation. It will be a long evening. I know I can help get the hot dogs out of the packages and the buns on the tray. I will not try to help setup the tables and chairs.
Etta Sue, it sounds like you had a great time and were certainly pampered. I enjoyed looking at the pictures of the place you stayed.
Jane, sometimes my wallet seems to be on life support but so far hasn't died. :) I had to chuckle when I read what you wrote.
Marilyn, I guess this next week will be a busy one for you as you make final preparations for your move.
Al, sure sorry to read that your hip is still such a problem.
Ruth Ann, it sounds like you are enjoying making the Power Point presentations for your church. It is nice that they are using your talents.
Ruth, I detect that you are really enjoying your retirement.
Judy, I would think it would be illegal to require attendance and not pay for the time involved for the safety meetings.
Since I am just about through with my packing I have been working on some more PSP lesson, I sure am learning all the ins and outs of what once can do that I wasn't aware of even though I have been using the program for over 5 years.
On Monday PT in the morning then I am going to lunch with my Chiropractor and another friend. On Tuesday morning I am going to breakfast with another friend, On Wednesday the cable man is supposed to come to pick up the HBO box before 1 and PT is at 2:30 Somewhere in there need to get my nails done and also take the stuff to the recycle place so we don't have to do that on Saturday.
Tomorrow there is an Evangelist coming to preach and I have to make sure I take my earplugs,m he always has the sound man turn his mike up full blast and it does a number on my eardrums. This time I am prepared. I will also pick up Willa and take to church this is her first time since she fell. She really likes this guy.
Larry ir isn't illegal, but they cannot consider ti to be manditory if they don't pay.
I was caught yesterday. I was sent an email abd didn't check it out as I normally do. Wooooops ir was false.. I feel so stupid. To those of you who got it, I am truly sorry.
Well a major jopb has been done early this year. John and the girls took all the ashes out of the basement. We usually store them for the garden but this year there are nails in the ash so that was out of the question. We are ahead of the game.
Larry and Al I continue to pray.
I am heading back into the family room and may not be back to CP tonight, Night all

Not many posts since last evening. But it hasn't been that many hours either.
Bright and sunny here in Indiana but cold. It is suppose to get to 54 degrees today though. I slept so good that I may just come home today and work in the yard.
Ivalou called and said she was going to drive today also. I have to go in because I am greeter at one of the doors. Then she said she didn't think she was going to go out to eat today. Said she needed a break. She isn't sick. So I don't know what that means...ttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt

Etta Sue I looked at those pictures of your room. It was beautiful! I sure would love to go there someday!
We are all up and ready for church. I am looking forward to the fellowship today.
Pat Have a good day maybe we can talk tonight?
God Bless you all folks, Have a God day.
Hi everyone. We just had a call from our daughter, Stacey, who is in the ER a the hospital across the street from her apartment. She had to call 911 during the night as woke up feeling like an elephant was sitting on her chest and taking the few steps to the bathroom and back left her breathless. Her speech is also slurred, which is most concerning. She said they are looking at several possibilities, including a blood clot. Pat is staying home from church this morning to be near the phone and I will keep my phone on vibrate during the service in case she needs to contact me. Stacey didn't want us to come down at this time so will stand by the phone. Please pray for Stacey that God's will be done in her life. I just pray that his will be for her to get better.
good Morning not much to say this morning I said it all yesterday.
So Have a Happy and very Blessed Sunday

Living below in this old sinful world
Hardly a comfort can afford
Striving alone to face temptations call
Where could I go to the Lord
Chorus:
Where could I go where could I go
Seeking a refuge for my soul
Needing a friend to help me in the end
Where could I go to the Lord
Neighbors are fun I love them everyone
We get along in sweet accord
But when I pass the chilling hand of death
Where could I go to the Lord
Chorus
Life here is grand with friends I love so well
Comfort I get from God's own Word
But when my soul needs manna from above
Where could I go to the Lord
Chorus
Where could I go where could I go
Seeking a refuge for my soul
Needing a friend to help me in the end
Where could I go to the Lord
Where could I go to the Lord

I love that song I sang it in a duet at a church down south before I moved up here.
Thanks for the song, Pat ... I've sung that song many times. Seems I remember my mother singing it as well.
Larry, I surely will be praying for Stacey. I pray, also, for strength for you and Pat. Yes, I would agree that our will is for her to get better. :)
Etta Sue, I think it was in '99 or 2000 that we had a bash in Brown's County. I really enjoyed that. Guess we/I didn't know you then. Our loss. <3
We are in the midst of a full fledged storm, here on the southern Oregon coast. Lots of rain, and strong wind warnings to go along with it. S'posed to continue all week. :-\
:) Good afternoon and I have just gone over all the post's. Very interesting to see and to here what is going on in all your lives. We had a great morning at church and my wife was able to go to church today. Praise the Lord she misses so many Sundays but has been able to go for two weeks in a row. Our weather is beautiful and the sun is shinning and the sky is a beautiful bright blue.
Jane; I like the funny comment about your wallet it seems that our money just goes to fast.
Ruth: Yes I CAN REMEMBER THOSE DAYS ALSO WHEN THEY HAD THESE SPECIAL SAFETY DAYS. The company that bought out Laidlaw and Greyhound are very strict the drivers have to wear a bright orange reflection jacket every time they are out of the bus.
Ruth Ann Thanks for the prayer for Larry I do pray for him and for Al to. Prayer is so important and it is one of my weak points but I am trying to work hard on it. I hope that you are enjoying doing the powerpoints at church and the Lord willBless you for it. God bless and Have a great week. :coffee:
Larry: I do hope that you are feeling a bit better today and that you are getting some sleep. I am sorry to here that your daughter is not well again we will pray for her. God Bless you and take it easy. :coffee:
Al; Hope that you had a better night last night. I thought that you could try this . Put some extra pillows where your back is sore when you try to sleep in your own bed and one between your legs my wife gets more sleep with the one between her legs. hope it works. :)
God Bless to all others and Have a wonderful week. Love in Christ. Gord and Noreen. <3
Gord: About the safety equipment /features there is still more on the way, more to do and they are trying to have you think that you are getting enough wages to cover all.
Yes retirement is wonderful.
Soon we will be leaving to visit with our daughter, another beautiful day and the Lord is good always.
Ruth
