Morning Devotional...Prayer:
Two Conditions Must Be Met
Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence toward God. And whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do those things that are pleasing in His sight. --1 John 3:21-22
When we go to God with a request that He modify the existing situation for us, that is, that He answer prayer, there are two conditions that we must meet: (1) We must pray in the will of God and (2) we must be on what old-fashioned Christians often call "praying ground"; that is, we must be living lives pleasing to God.
It is futile to beg God to act contrary to His revealed purposes. To pray with confidence the petitioner must be certain that his request falls within the broad will of God for His people.
The second condition is also vitally important. God has not placed Himself under obligation to honor the requests of worldly, carnal or disobedient Christians. He hears and answers the prayers only of those who walk in His way...(1 John 3:21-22; John 15:7)....
The truth is that God always answers the prayer that accords with His will as revealed in the Scriptures, provided the one who prays is obedient and trustful. Further than this we dare not go.
Dr. Tozer in Man, the Dwelling Place of God, pp. 86-87"Lord, in the power of Your Holy Spirit, help me to be obedient today. May everything I think and do be pleasing in Your sight. Amen."
Am I first today? That surprises me. Of course, someone will likely post before I get this finished.
I hope all you other mothers had a lovely Mothers' Day. We had a real marathon weekend! We left early Friday, drove to the kids' and from there to Dodge City, where we picked up Jeff's parents, then on to Junction City, where we had rooms reserved. We are lunch, changed clothes, on to Manhattan for Curtis's Commissioning Ceremony. So now we have a 2nd Lieutenant in the Air Force in our family! This ceremony was far more important to Curtis than his graduation, for some reason. I asked him why, since graduation required five years of diligent study, but didn't really understand his reasons.
After the Commissioning, they had a cookout at their house (Curtis and Toni) and he had a lot of friends and fellow Cadets who came.
On Saturday, we did some shopping in the morning, then attended the Engineering College reception, followed later by the graduation. I had never attended either a commissioning nor a college graduation before, so it was all new to me. Kansas State graduated over 2600 this year, a bit down from their average of 3500. Anyway, after graduation, we went to a place called Doe's and had steaks to celebrate Curtis' achievement. His Dad made a little speech about how proud we all are of Curtis, thanking us as grandparents for our love and support through the years, and then told Curtis "The gravy train officially stops NOW!"
Curtis will now go to Alabama for Officers Training, and then will be stationed in Albuquerque, N.M.
Yesterday, it was up early, eat, drive from Junction City to Bennington to daughter Kerri's; load up Mark's stuff (he had to be out of his dorm room in Salina by Friday evening, but has another week of school, so will be staying with his Aunt Kerri), then the long drive home. We arrived just in time for Abby to eat a little bit, change into her dance costume and get to the school for her dance recital. That lasted two hours.........we got home a little after 10 last night. WHEW!!!
Anyway, I'm home now......until Friday, when we will leave again for two more graduations at Bennington!

Janet ~ Hint! Hint! Albuquerque hosts the Hot Air Balloon Fiesta for a whole week in October! Well, worth the trip to visit Curtis and Toni AND see about 700 hot air balloons in the air at one time. Think about it!
Pat ~ Thank you for the devotion. I wish I would pray aloud in front of others. My excuse is that I am by myself so much that in a bunch of people I forget my own name!!
I am off for a blood draw and then to see my ENT. In five minutes....I am outta here! (^)(^)(^)(^)(^)(^)(^)(^)(^)(^)(^)(^)(^)(^)(^)(^)(^)(^)(^)

I am going for the results of my blood draw. I tried to get away with just going to pick up a copy of the results, but with a new doctor in the office she wants to see me. My own doctor now works at the Veterans clinic in Eureka.
I think I will probably mow this afternoon the grass is being pulled right up out of the ground and getting tall. I hope my mower doesn't bog down and make it hard to push on through. It is not self propelled.
Gilbert and Savannah brought me a nice bouquet from their yard yesterday.

Thanks, Etta Sue, for the excuse. I, too, find myself tripping over my tongue in public... :-[ Guess it's the living alone thing for me too.
Janet, sounds like you all had a very fun and rewarding whirlwind marathon weekend all right. And more to come? Keeps one young, "they" say. :-\
It is really nice here on the coast today so I need to get outside and do some sprucing up in the yard. Rhodie blossoms all over the ground and the grass is getting up there. I also need to do some trimming on the shrubs :-\ This is work that never gets done, it seems. Ah well ......
A big G'Mornin' to all y'all and prayers continue from this corner of the world.
Marilyn and Etta Sue expect good news when you get the results of the blood draw.
I'll be back later................
Ruth Ann, I hope your hand is feeling better, and your sugar levels are staying.......well.........level! Good to read your short, one handed posts. We love you!
Jane, so glad you heard from your girls for Mother's Day. All three of my girls sent cards, and Diane gave me a little gift. It was her birthday, as well as Mother's Day, plus all the activities for Curtis and then Abby, so she had a really intense day. Sometimes I marvel at how she handles the stress of her life.
Liz, how are you? So good to read your post. Our grandkids grow up way too fast, don't they? Amanda is 20 already? Goodness. Is she still doing a lot of artwork?
Al, I would much prefer to attend a marryin' than a buryin', too. ;) But we all have those to face, don't we?
Can you imagine a teacher, substitute or not, showing the movie "Brokeback Mountain" to 11 and 12 year olds--in school?? I hope that family collects the half million from their lawsuit, and that more families join in the suit. For goodness sake, are all bounds of decency gone now? :uglystupid: :clobber:
Okay, off the soapbox and back to work!
:) Good day to you all. Well we had a very busy weekend as all of my wifes sisters and the daughters and there daughters all get together for mothers day and have done this since there mother was alive. What they do is go to some place that most of them have never gone to. and also they stay overnight. So they have a great time So I spent time at my oldest sons and we did some different things and it nice to be able just to spend time together as we do not live very close to each other. I dont know if I told you all but the doctor has put me on diabetic tablets as my counts have not been good. I was very upset at first as my brothers both have thi also but the middle one has type one since he was 42years old so I guess it's in the family. I know that the Lord will look after me but my wife and I are thankful for your prayers.
PAT: Thank you for your devotional and as always it was very encourageing. Hope that you are looking after yourselve and getting lots of rest. Love sis. <3
JANET: My goodness you have been very busy. Make sure that you don't do to much and get so tired that you get sick. God bless.
ETTA SUE: I have just had all my blood work done again and thats when the doctor decided to put me on the biabetic tablets. But life goes on. Look after yourself.
MARILYN: Hope that you are looking after yourself also and just keep trusting the Lord and he will give you all the strength that you need for each day. God bless.
JANE. Hi to you it must be hard to be alone but you always have your Heavenly Father with you. He will give you the strength that you need for each day and also in his word he tells others to look out for the widow and to help them . Keep sending those good posts.
To all others may the Lord Richly bless you this week.
Good Afternoon
I had a busy weekend, I picked up my "new to me" car, a 2006 Pontiac Pursuit and stopped at my parents to wish my dad a Happy Birthday in addition to showing off my new wheels and then came home, got changed and went back out to dinner with my parents. A very fine meal and finer company!
I called my mother to say happy mother's day and received a call from my daughter so felt content. Gifts are not important, being acknowledged is!
Janet, did Curtis ever tell you why the commisioning ceremony was more important than his graduation? Just curious.
Now must get back to work and get some things accomplished. Have a good day everyone.
I did not get good news from my blood draw. My Cholesterol is way up again and my high protein diet is the reason. So i stopped at Longs to buy some Cholest-off and will be refilling my Niaspan. I could not believe that my LDL (the bad one) is up to 195 and total cholesterol was 272 when it was 195 in January. TRIPLE DRAT!!!!!!!!!
Hi everyone.
We have had a really nice and pleasant weekend. My sister and brother-in-law arrived about 2:30 on Friday afternoon. We had a very nice visit before they left at 11 this morning to return to Missouri to visit with his mother and attend a wedding next weekend and then going back to their home in northern Iowa.
On Friday evening I picked up our daughter and she spent the weekend with us as well. We played a few hands of bridge and some other games where 5 of us could play. On Sunday, we all attended the combined service at our church. Annually we have a youth Sunday and they conduct the entire service. We have a large number of fine youth and they did a very fine job in doing the worship service, including the music, prayers, Scripture readings and testimonials. The theme was love.
Following church we went to City Slicker's and were able to be served fairly quickly. We had a good meal. We came home and rested for awhile and then I took our daughter back to her apartment.
We have a delightful day today with the temperature around 70 degrees and relatively low humidity. We have had the house open all day. Today was our lawn service day and they arrived shortly after 7 am and started mowing. Needless to say the owner of the company is going to get an e-mail from me indicating we were not impressed and request that we be scheduled later in the day. One of our neighbors likes to sleep late and sometimes my wife doesn't want to be awake that early.
I have read all the postings but not going to make individual comments. Maybe I can get back on track tomorrow. We are now back to our regular schedule. Today has been sort of a "let-down" day and Pat and I both have been resting and taking it easy.

Oh Marilyn! I'm so sorry this has happened to mess up your happiness. :-\ I don't know how to change this effect but it looks like you have a handle on it already and will be just fine and dandy in no time.
Larry I know the feeling of let-down after an exciting or much anticipated event. You and Pat have been planning and cleaning and "doing" for quite a while in preparation for your sister's visit. I think it's a lot like the anticipation and planning that go toward Christmas or Thanksgiving ... then it's over so soon and one feels "down."
lost my post - too tired to write a long one again.
Hi Everyone.
Life for me has become hectic once again so I've just popped in for a few minutes to touch base with you all.
Mother's Day was lovely.
Hello, this Monday evening.
Marilyn, though it isn't proven, and I've only read about it one time, I started taking cinnamon capsules and my cholesterol went to the lowest it's ever been.
Mind you, I also take Lipitor, but I had been taking it for about a year, and it still didn't get as low as we wanted. It did drop some when I went on a low carb diet, just eating complex carbs, but went to the lowest ever when I started the cinnamon. My doctor doesn't know, and there isn't enough research for it, other than for diabetics which is great, but you could try.
I know how disappointing it can be when you're doing the right things and it's still up. I have familial high cholesterol. Do you?
I had a nice Mother's Day. My son barbecued and my daughter bought a plant for me, from my dogs, haha...and she also bought one for my sister, Sue, which I thought was so sweet. My other daughter called me last night and we had a nice visit. She also sent an outdoor plant basket. The delivery lady happened to be someone I used to work with, and always liked, so it was nice seeing her again.
I really like the devotional on prayer. We need this reminder often. I don't want to ask anything outside of God's promises and will. What a mess I'd be if He let me decide what I needed. lol It's such a comfort to just lean on Him , knowing He is Love and I'm His. What a blessed life I live on this earth. You too? :)
Larry, whenever I have company, no matter how enjoyable, I have a tiredness afterwards. Not really a let down, but just looking forward to settling back into my mundane routine. :)
Jane, I'm doing the pulling an occasional weed too. Last year's flower garden, where Sue tossed lots of flower seeds, is almost filled with flowers. We won't be planting anything else. No room. I like that.
Blessings to each who come to post(or just read). Nita
Hi everyone.
Just back from morning coffee at the cafe with my retired men friends. Always an enjoyable. I have a meeting to attend this morning and this afternoon there is a reception for our choir director, who is retiring from teaching middle school music.
It sounds like there were a lot of nice mother's day remembrances. Our son sent his mother a really neat basket of cookies. Of course, I about fainted when I saw that the 5 cookies average cost was about $10 each, minus the cost of the delivery and packaging. Our daughter gave her mother a lovely little book, and wall hanging about mother's and two cute little figurines of bears.
Marilyn, sorry that your cholesterol has gone up so much. Since I have been taking Vytorin all of my counts are well within the ranges and some of them very low. Years ago I followed a very strict vegan diet with no meat or fowl and it didn't seem to have any effect on the readings after a year.
Nita, it sounds like you had a nice day on Sunday.
Jane and Nita, I know what you mean about the feelings after company leaves. We had anticipated this visit for about a month and now it is over but we have some very nice memories and hopefully they will be back again before too long.
Pat, slow down so you have some time for yourself.
Ruth Ann, sorry that you lost your posting. I know that is very frustrating. Hope your hand is feeling better everyday.
I have some webwork to do today so guess I had better get busy as don't have too many hours at home today.
Good morning, everyone!
Guess what? I have a busy day today---imagine that!
Poor Darrel has to go to Garden, Dodge and Liberal, all today, for trouble calls. Why do they always seem to come in bunches? He will go for weeks and never have one, then a busy "spurt."
I'm going to Crafts Day at the Home with Beth, then eating lunch with my Youth Friend, plus other stuff. Later!
I am back now from Curves, dressed for work, and still need to fix my hair and eat breakfast, of a small bowl of Special K with added walnuts, a few dry cranberries and maybe half a banana.
When I get to Ruth's house I am going to style her hair as she has a few more days before her hair appointment. Her hair sure gets in a mess most of the time.
We are in the process of talking her son into hiring someone for the weekend. I gave him a referral now it is up to him.
Not much is new here, misting outside this morning the car is all wet and I needed the wipers on the way to Curves.
Nita I will look into the cinnamon I have heard that it is good for other things than the diabetic I read that it only takes about ¼ teaspoon per day and you can put that on your cereal. thanks for reminding me. Now if I can figure out what complex carbs are. I will do a Google search.

I went to the ENT surgeon yesterday morning. He said good news and not so good news. The good news is that the growth was early and small. May 1st, he removed a 3mm x 7mm pre-canceous growth on my larnyx by pealing it off and then lazering the surface. The not so good news was the growth did have some cancer cells in it but he thinks that lazering the surface killed the cancer cells. But rather than take a chance, I am to have another surgery June 12th (6 weeks after first surgery) for him to lazer the area again. And another week of not talking. After that surgery, I will see him July 3rd to see what is to be done in the future.
And more good news was that the growth was small enough to remove and not have to remove the vocal chords unlike a lady after me in surgery. She was 39 years old and the growth was so large, he had to remove the vocal chords.
So I am thankful that this was caught early and greatful for surgeons who have the knowledge to remove such growths. And thank God that He enables such knowledge for the betterment of our health.
As for the bloodwork yesterday...they stuck me three times before they could get any blood. Grrrr! It was to test my kidney functioning since she put me on a kidney protection tablet. I got a call from the nurse yesterday afternoon saying the kidney functioning was okay but my potassium was high. So they called in another RX....a diuretic! Since taking the kidney protection pill, I have noticed I don't have to RUN to the bathroom. Now I will with the diuretic. And I have more bloodwork May 29!!
Sure hope these doctors get me regulated soon!
And Thursday I got for a crown prep at the dentist.
It sure isn't fun getting old.
Oh, yes! I got my first info from Medicare yesterday. Turning 65 in September!!
Euchre here at my house today and here I am at the computer!!!!!!!!!ttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt

Cinnamon Bark has been historically used as a digestive aid and to promote other health benefits. Recent studies indicate that Cinnamon may also help to support healthy serum lipid levels. In addition, Cinnamon contains potent antioxidants that help to support cardiovascular function.*
That's good news about the cinamon - I may try it too.
Hey where is everyone today?
so tired, I'm not even wearing my glasses - am typing by "memory."
bandage came off - looks surprisingly good. it's a wonder what a long hot shower does.
Will read and comment tomorrow.
Howdy! I've started a couple of new home bible studies and the rest of life is keeping me really busy. Stop by my new blog when you get a minute.

Hope all is well with you!

Hi everyone. I have a few minutes before leaving for coffee and then have a busy day ahead with Bible study this morning, our son and daughter in law visiting for a short time and a doctor's appointment this afternoon. Then this evening is choir practice. So won't have much computer time. I did get my Golden Olympics work caught up for now. The games are about over and only three more events to occur. Then they will be sending me pictures to post. I posted the first batch of those on the Golden Olympics website last evening.
Etta Sue, sorry to hear that the cancer cells were present but it sounds like the doctor is on top of the situation. Your experience is a good example of why you don't ignore problems like this as they only have worse consequences later on. Another week of not speaking is nothing compared to having to lose your vocal cords.
Janet, hope you had a nice day with Beth and your student and that Darrel's trouble calls went well.
Hi Kevin and Al.
Ruth Ann, you did a good job of typing without your glasses.
Marilyn, I have read about the Cinnamon. You take good care of Ruth.
See you all tomorrow.
Good morning!
Ruth Ann, so glad that hand looks good, and I agree about the benefits of a hot shower. Ahhhhhh...... :)
Etta Sue, we are all rooting and praying for you. As I said in my email, I'm so glad you went in when you did. {{{{hugs}}}}
Larry, can you tell me how I can get power point put on my computer? (I should have asked this privately, sorry.) :-[
The little craft class went well at the home. I had to help Beth a little with the tiny parts, and peeling off the backs of the stickers we were using, but she did most of it and enjoyed it. We made a little underwater scene with those foamies stickers, and then a dog and a cat using big jingle bells, wooden beads, etc. I had to do those, as the parts were so tiny. They were cute, though.
Both Darrel and I have doctor's appointments today, he with Dr. Plumlee in preparation for the shoulder surgery next week, and me with our eye doctor. Church tonight. And sometime in between, I must mat some photos and order frames for them.
Pat, we miss you. What's happening in your life? Love you!
Kevin, good to see you after a long absence. I will check out your blog later.
Hello to the rest of you who pop in to read and or post.
Hi to all from Sequim, Washington. Leaving in minutes. We had a wonderful visit with two nieces & two of one's children. Then, we boarded a ferry and toured Victoria, B.C. for two days and the lush gardens. It was so beautiful and peaceful. Slept late this morning & a busy drive as soon as I get going.
Pat: Hope you are well. Someone mentioned your name.
Larry: Hello - Pat wouldhave loved to have seen several quilt shops here - I didn't buy anything but hopefully have some new ideas.
On the road & really need to do laundry today or tomorrow. Carol
Good Morning
This has been a busy week for me. BUT GOD IS GOOD!
WE have rain and it has been raining for 2 days and is to continue for the next couple of days. That is good as we have such dry soil, already there have been forest fires in the north. A friend was fighting fires on Sunday, he was at small group Monday so that was good news.
I have been praying for each family and each situation here. Ruth Ann take care and don't overdo it. Love you sis.
May God richly bless each of you.
Hello friends!
I guess it's been a while since I've been here. I'm not up to date on what's going on in your lives, but I've been thinking of you all.
I have a praise! I went to the eye Dr. yesterday and my degenerative cornneal disease (Fuch's Dystrophy-pronounced Fukes) is not progressing at this point! There's been no change since my last visit.
We are now home from our three week vacation to sunny Southern California, where my hubby and I both grew up. (I think we had a bit of shock going from the end of winter in Idaho to everything in bloom in CA-at least when we returned it was spring at home, too.) Anyway, more than two thousand miles and 3,000 digital images later...we find ourselves back at home, safe and sound. It seems no matter how wonderful your vacation, it's always so nice to come home.
We married off my hubby's older brother while we were there, my hubby being the best man. It was a nice outdoor wedding and the park grounds were beautiful! Our daughters danced their traditional Irish Step Dancing at the reception and my nieces and sister in law danced Polynesian style and we gave the bride and groom each a lei made of 100 $1 dollar bills that we tediously folded and had strung by another family member. Classical guitar was played during the ceremony by the bride's son. The bride and groom and others did a little ballroom and swing dancing. It was quite a multicultural affair. It was wonderful!
We did some sight-seeing. It was weird to go to CA as a tourist and have people on the beach ask "Where are you folks from?" And then telling them "Actually, we're from here but moved away 11 years ago and were here on vacation." Met a few people who know folks in Idaho or that are thinking of moving here themselves.
We rode the Coaster to Seaport Village and went to Horton Plaza, both places we went on our honeymoon 18 years ago, when we still lived there. I think the kids got tired of us pointing out places we frequented when we were dating and first married and apartments we lived in when they were born and shortly before.
We had a blast at the Wild Animal Park! There were so many baby animals, being spring. I'm overwhelmed thinking about rating, editing, processing, etc...all those pictures I took, but excited, too! I know I got some great shots! We went to the beach for the girls' spring school pictures. I also have some of my oldest daughter doing her Irish Dance leaps on the beach, some with flash and some in silhouette with the sunset or remains of it behind her.
Time with family and friends was the best of all, of course! I have plenty of pictures of all of our loved ones that still reside in San Diego county. From nieces' softball games to the wedding and everywhere in between. I praise the Lord for a wonderful trip free of accident or incident, unlike our last trip there. He is so good to us!
You all have a great day and I will try to get some images ready for viewing on the web. Oh, this will be a new experience as I will be doing them on my new Dell Inspiron laptop, which I'm hoping will help the whole process go faster since we upgraded everything specifically for photography. :)
I realize this has been lengthy. Thanks for bearing with me, those of you who are still reading.
Shutterbugmom
Hi all!!! Sorry to have been scarce the past couple of days. This site is blocked at work (as are most sites <grumble>), so I can only post when I'm at home.
Everyone here is doing pretty good. Bernard is still plugging along. His allergies are bothering him, and the sneezing does not feel good. :(
Hope everyone is doing well today. Take care!

Free PPS viewer... http://snipurl.com/2fz9 I love the one Larry sent out! But then I really love all power point slide shows.
Shutterbugmom ~ Sounds like you had a busy, terrific vacation. It is always fun to go home, isn't it?
Euchre is over for another 8 months. I dislike the preparation...I generally entertain but after everyone is here, I thoroughly enjoy it. I have everything put away and am relaxing today.
I even made a Hawaiin Strawberry Pie this morning. Diabetic. I haven't tried it yet but it smells oh, so good!
Cloudy and looks like rain any second today. Glad I am planning on staying in!! a.m. p.m. a.m. p.m. a.m. p.m. a.m. p.m. a.m. p.m. a.m. p.m.

Hi all:
Marilyn and to the others here as well. It has been on the radio all morning about the benefits of 1/4 tsp. of cinnamon a day. It is not very much to add to the meal but I will be one that will forget to make it a daily routine.
We had our share of rain yesterday and are getting more again this afternoon.
After work I have a chiro. appointment to get my back taken care of, it is just a routine thing when everything gets tight.
Have a great day
:) Good afternoon and have been reading all the posts and very interesting. We are very busy around our house as my sister-in-laws are having a big 60th. birthday bash for me so there is so many things to do. So I only have a few minuetes.
ETTA SUE: The pie sounds delicious could you give us the recipe please as my wife would like to make it as I have just become type 2 diabetic.
Well I must go and hope that all well. <3
Hi All I will be busy for a few days here I have to get my applications filled our and some of my photos on to disk and over to Costco for printing in 8 X 10 size for entry into the Redwood acres Fair competition I have to have the App in by 5/24 and the photos shortly after.
Hey Shutterbugmom did you take any pictures? We would love to see them.
I have had an afternoon of going through the pics on the forum and we have a lot of very talented people!
So take a quick boo at the pictures and let us know what you think!

Hi Janet...
I've been busy with one thing and another and tried to get in here to this topic at least once a day but have been trying to post in our Photos area a lot more.
We have some wonderful photos and many have been without comments so just trying to catch up there.
Will probably pop back in here a little later.
Kathleen, I'm so very happy to read your news regarding your eyes. I have been praying for you and this is great news.
Etta Sue, as I told you in email, I'm continuing my prayers on your behalf as well.
Well, Darrel may not be able to get his shoulder repaired next Wednesday after all. The doctors are discussing whether he should get off the Plavix (taking it since his heart stent placements on March 14) So we are in limbo concerning that, and neither of us is happy about it. But of course we want him to be safe.
No new glasses for me at this time. My problems are caused by the radial keratotomy surgery I had about 20 years ago. They didn't realize then what the long term problems would be. The surfaces of my eyes are unstable because of the surgery, causing my vision to fluctuate a lot during the day. I am now wearing my computer glasses for distance until about 1 in the afternoon. Actually, he says my eyesight is shifting from near to far sightedness. I'm a strange case.
Pat, glad you are okay. Since I no longer have a gallery button, I tend to forget to go look at the new stuff. I will do better, I promise. May even post some, if I can remember how! :-[
See y'all tomorrow!
Janet, what do you mean that you no longer have a gallery button?
Up at the top of every page in the forum are buttons under the verse that says, "Let everything that hath breath, praise the Lord." are many buttons starting with:

Oh Ruth Ann I am so glad you had time with your daughter. That is precious time.
I have spent time going through the pictures again this evening. What a wonderful way to lift your spirit, as you realize the marvelous creation that we live in. When you feel overcome with the trials ond pain of the day take a look at the scripture pictures or the macro pictures. The verse of the song
"He sees the little sparrow fall, I knows He loves me too" really says it all. If we believe He sees the sparrow fall then we KNOW that He cares for each of us and our aches, pains, and concerns, seem a little less worry-some. Let us rest in His care for us and let Him carry the burdens. <3
May God richly bless each one of you with a restful night's sleep, and wake up refreshed.

Good Morning Everyone. It is a beautiful day, the sun is shining and the birds are singing. The rain has stopped, and there isn't a cloud in the sky!
This is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it!
Good Morning Everyone!
It rained quite heavily all night and today everything is nice and green and the robins are quite busy listening for the movement of worms coming up out of the earth to savour the moistness left by the night rains.
I must get my camera out again and start snapping.
Yes, Judy, it really is a lovely thing to view the images in the Photo section. I go "awwww...." and "ohhhhhh" as I go through them. :)
I have a busy weekend ahead and housework to do so must get at it.

And Can it Be That I Should Gain
(Click to hear music]
Suddenly there was a great earthquake,
so that the foundations of the prison were shaken;
and immediately all the doors were opened
and everyone's chains were loosed.
Acts 19:26
Words: Charles Wesley, Psalms and Hymns, 1738.
Music: "Sagina," Thomas Campbell, 1835
And can it be that I should gain
An interest in the Savior's blood!
Died He for me who caused His pain!
For me who Him to death pursued?
Amazing love! How can it be,
That Thou, my God, shouldst die for me?
Amazing love! How can it be,
That Thou, my God, shouldst die for me?
'Tis mystery all: th' Immortal dies!
Who can explore His strange design?
In vain the firstborn seraph tries
To sound the depths of love divine.
'Tis mercy all! Let earth adore;
Let angel minds inquire no more.
'Tis mercy all! Let earth adore;
Let angel minds inquire no more.
He left His Father's throne above
(so free, so infinite His grace!),
Emptied Himself of all but love,
And bled for Adam's helpless race.
'Tis mercy all, immense and free,
For O my God, it found out me!
'Tis mercy all, immense and free,
For O my God, it found out me!
Long my imprisoned spirit lay,
Fast bound in sin and nature's night;
Thine eye diffused a quickening ray;
I woke, the dungeon flamed with light;
My chains fell off, my heart was free,
I rose, went forth, and followed Thee.
My chains fell off, my heart was free,
I rose, went forth, and followed Thee.
No condemnation now I dread;
Jesus, and all in Him, is mine;
Alive in Him, my living Head,
And clothed in righteousness divine,
Bold I approach th' eternal throne,
And claim the crown, through Christ my own.
Bold I approach th' eternal throne,
And claim the crown, through Christ my own. (http://christianphotographers.com/sounds/sagina.mpga)

Just before I start "hoovering" the floors (as they say in the UK sometimes when they are going to vacuum), I thought I'd share with you all a lovely photo by one of our newer members, Neil.
It's a robin but as you can see, it's a lot smaller than ours in North America being about the size of a sparrow or finch.

Not much going on here in Indiana. Cold. Only 49°!!! Brrrr! I do see the Sod Farmer is out cutting sod. We have been told that he and his wife are retiring...selling their equipment, buying a 5th Wheel and are going to travel next year. I sure will miss the big 'yard' that I don't have to mow!! I can feel those corn fields closing in on me.
I will go right now and post the Hawaiian Strawberry Pie recipe and then come back here and give you a link. >^<+>^<>^<+>^<>^<+>^<>^<+>^<>^<+>^<>^<+>^<>^<+>^<>^<+>^<

Just saw it, Etta Sue and it sounds so good.
Thanks!
Ow! Ow! Owee! Pat just :clobber: me! Yes, of course I know that button is at the top, but there used to be one by my name every time I posted, and it's gone. That's what I was talking about.
Nice robin, I mean two robins. I hear we have lots of lovely birds here, lots that migrate through, but we don't see them at our house. Maybe because we have cats, and not the feeders they like, either.
We are waiting for a call from the doctor to let us know if Darrel's surgery is a "go" or not.
Etta Sue, the pie sounds good.
Hi everyone. We also have a beautiful and sunny but crisp day. Don't think it is to get as warm as the last few days. Pat was sitting out on the porch when I came home from coffee but it was too chilly for me and I have my sweatshirt on, but that isn't unusual.
I had some blood work done yesterday and got the results over the Internet last evening and it looks like I may be a bit anemic as the oxygen levels of my blood on several tests are below the low numbers of the scales they use to measure. I have a feeling this is one of the side-effects of the weakening heart function as my feet have also started to swell a bit by the end of the day. I have a physical scheduled in mid-July so will see what the doctor says then. I did talk with him yesterday and he wants me to see a dermatologist about a basil cell situation that has developed on my nose. He said it wasn't the type that would spread but could become a problem on my nose if ignored. He also authorized the ultrasound on the aorta that my cardiologist wants me to have. So one appointment generates more appointments. This maintenance work as we get older gets more burdensome. :)
Don't have a lot on the schedule today. I will go with Pat to her chiropractic appointment shortly and then we are going to go to Wal-Mart for a few items.
Our son and daughter-in-law were in town yesterday and we met them for lunch and then they came over to the house. He was able to adjust our big TV. He had done it before to reset the positioning of the color guns (it is a rear projectioin type) but hadn't saved his work so that effort had been wasted. He didn't repeat the mistake this time and the pictures is improved. Now if only the programming would improve.
My good friend Rod's wifes purse was stolen from her car that was in her driveway. They are certain that a neighborhood boy was the thief as later the boys father brought over two car keys he had found, one of which was to Rod's car that had been in his wife's purse. They got busy and cancelled credit cards and she got a new driver's license. The problem is there were house keys in her purse and the automatic door opener for her car and her car keys. Apparently she was carrying in groceries of something from shopping and had left the car unlocked with her purse in it.
Janet, I decided long ago that wearing glasses wasn't so bad and I wasn't going to let anyone work on my eyes if it was medically indicated. Fortunately that has not been a problem. When I was going to have the prostate biopsy a couple of years ago my heart doctor told me he thought it was safe to be off the Plavix and aspirin for 5 days before the procedure. Of course, I wasn't having surgery so it was a different situation but have taken blood thinners for quite a few years. I am sure they will work something out for Darrel.
Marilyn, I hope your fair entries do very well. It is coming into that fair season.
Etta Sue, I agree with Gord that your diabetic pie sounds very good. Thanks for providing the PowerPoint link for Janet. You really miss out on a lot of beautiful things if you don't have a PowerPoint reader.
Karmat, I feel for Bernard with the sneezing and coughing. That chest needs time to heal.
Kathleen, it sounds like you had a marvelous time on your vacation. I sure don't envy you in sorting out all of those photos you took. Glad your eye situation has not deteriorated any further. A praise indeed.
Carol, I am sure Pat would have taken in those quilt shops if she had been in the area. This past Tuesday her quilting guild was having a quilt show at their monthly meeting and were expecting over 200 quilts from the members. Unfortunately Pat wasn't feeling well that day and had to miss the event. Fortunately she is feeling a lot better yesterday and today.
In the middle of this posting we left for the chiropractor and then stopped at the new acquatic center so Pat could see it and get the information on open times and classes. We then went to Wal-Mart for a few minutes. This time I got an electric cart and it sure helped as wasn't exhausted from the experience. I will be doing that anytime I have the chance, especially in the large grocery stores and Wal-Mart. Unfortunately many stores don't have that facility available.
Pat, that is a beautiful photo of the Robin.
About time for a rest period.
Janet, if you click on your name that button is in your profile under your photo.
Pat, if so, then I am blinder than I thought! I surely do not see it.
Also, even though I downloaded the pp viewer Etta Sue posted the link for, I still cannot open the power point things. How I wish I weren't so computer inept. :'(
Ah to be sure to be sure it is nice to be missed. Some people were asking where I was and what I was doing. Good question! What have I been doing....cos one thing...I know where I am! Well...I have been in the garden quite a lot. So much to do in it at this time of year. I made a new vegetable plot....sowed my little packets of carrots..lettuce..leeks etc and the pesky rabbits have danced through them and hoked holes and generally have made a mess of the whole plot. Grrrr! :clobber: Rabbit stew anyone!...lol.
Jeannine and I have been so busy on our new website. We have added videos now and lots of other things. Also we have been busy putting a booklet of my poems together illustrated by Jeannine. It is now ready for the printer and hopefully will be available shortly. I have also been roaming the countryside with my camcorder and boy do I not enjoy that! Pat will know these places or some of them which I have videoed...The Giants Causeway...Antrim Coast Road...Glenarriff Glen.. . Slemish and various other places. These videos are for another project of Jeannine and mine. We are making a DVD which is also near completion. I am shooting the pictures..Jeannine is doing the audio narrating my poems with background music. We are pleased with the results and hopefully the DVD will be launched soon. So you can see I have been very busy.
I have been reading your posts....keeping abreast of developments. I have been not able to do all I want to do and have had to cut down on things. I blog in another place but have not posted there for awhile either...so my CP mates...I was not ignoring you or being disenchanted. Just trying to prioritise.
Take care everyone and I will drop in again shortly. An American lady asked me when our next big holiday would be in Northern Ireland and I said it would be the twelfth fortnight in July. Puzzling to her when she thinks there are only four weeks in the month. ;) God bless...bye for now!

Carol I remember Sequim (pronounced "skweem")! My daughters and I were there in 2005 during their Lavender Festival and then took the ferry over to Vancouver and stayed there a couple nights so we could take in all the sights. That is really a lovely area and a place we will not soon forget. Did you get a chance to connect with Liz while on the island?
I have been rather scarce around here, as far as posting goes. :-\ Things just seem to pile up and I have to take a break (much more often than some folks do, for sure). I am beginning to think I have allergies. Whenever I do any sort of work in the yard, I end up feeling bad for the ret of the day and into the next. :( I have really been just lying around all morning so far. Here it is afternoon and I'm just now turing on the computer.
I'll have to get back to y'all later 'cause I have other things to do now and places to go and people to see.............. Later
Hi, Colin! Don't be so scarce; just pop in and say "hello" if you're short on time.
I'm going to a baby shower, then to an ice cream social (come with me, Karma!) for all the youth friends, parents and mentors. Poor Darrel has to stay home. Well, he could come along, but he won't. ;)
Still waiting on word from the doctor.............. >:(
Good to see you, Jane. I feel good, but don't seem to get much done anyway. Now, why is that? :-\ ^-^
I have chosen the photos that I will have printed and matted for the Fair, got them on CD now all 7 of them.
Just mopped the kitchen floor. I won't have Saturday to do my housework so I need to get it done before then. I am working a booth at the Women's Health fair on Saturday. The will be myself, my Chiropractor, and two others at the booth.
So much to do, Where does the time to do those things go anyway? I took both dogs for a nice walk when I first got home for my afternoon break. many days even my breaks are filled with stuff to do. On Monday I have to go to Blue Lake on my break to teach someone some computer basics like how to clean it up. We are doing this on the barter system. She will give me a jin shin Jyutsu manipulation . Ji Shin Jyutsu (http://www.medindia.net/alternativemedicine/index.asp?Choice=Jin%20Shin%20Jayatish#top)
Hi Colin good to see you stopping in, do that more often. Tell Jeanine to stop in too.

Did you actually go to the LEFT and click on your name to view your profile? It's not showing unless you click and then see it under your photo.
Nice to see you posting Colin.
We used to love to see Jeannine's updates each day on her lovely son and hear about her husband's health and we've missed that.
Also, it was nice to see your poems in here.
'Allo all! We've just finished our gourmet meal of pizza. :) I honestly think my kids (especially Kristi) would eat pizza all the time, if I let her.
got my hair cut off today. It is ear length, and blond. Bernard just kinda looked at me when I got home. I like it -- it is off my neck so it feels a lot cooler and more comfortable.
Not a lot going on in WNC, today. It was cold. The blackberries are blooming, so I figured it was our blackberry winter, just a bit later than normal.
Karma you Have to take a photo and letus see your new look.
Good idea, Marilyn! Karma, show us!
Have you all taken a peek at our CP Blog?
I've put one of our members' photos in today:

I second that MArilyn , Karma take a picture let us see the new look!
Just checking in want to turn early tonight, have a busy day tomorrow. I am painting and papering my bathroom. Want to surprise John and have it done when he gets home.
This has been a wonderful day full of sunshine and no rain. The sky is a deep royal blue with a deep pink at the horizon. Janet you are the painter?
Have a good night everyone be thankful for you good health.
God Bless JudyB
Did any of you actually click on Neil's photo of the Robin and post a comment to him?
I hope that you will.
Good Morning all,
Sorry to have been scarce as well. Since Colin explained what we have been up to with joing projects I'll let it be. Michael has been good except strep twice in the last couple months. He is doing wonderful with school and will continue to get it at home.
Hubby is a different story. He started the radiation 3 week ago. Now he is very fatigued, difficulty swallowing and talking. They have upped his pain meds. He is not doing his therapies except when the people are here. Look like he is just going through the motions just to please them.
My parents keep me busy too. And the minivan we had gotten, peice of garbage, have had it towed more times than I want to count. Oh well, live and learn. We do however have a 1994 Dodge Ram full size van with wheelchair lift that was donated to us for Michael. Not a bad van at all.
Oh yes, one more thing. June 28 is the day for surgery on the torn rotator cuff, bone spur and instability in my shoulder. The doctors (and i will use that term loosely for the moment) thought they could "fix" it with cortisone shots (3) and pt. NOT! so anyways, I also now have no job. Can do nothing til surgery and rehab are over.
So that is it in a nutshell. Been reading as I can, keeping you all in my prayers.
May you have a God filled and blessed day.
Still! Trusting In Him,
<><Jeannine
Praise the Lord This is another day He has made. <3
The sun is shining and the flowers are blooming! Well the dandelions are at any rate. :D
We have spent the last half hour listening to an interview of a family group called High Valley. Three young men 16, 19. 23. They sing country gospel, and write it as well. They are amazing young men, have very strong family values, and oh such wonderful voices. Now Pat, yes they do the slide as they sing, but they do it very well!
I have to go, let us all rejoice in what God has done for us through the blood of our Lord. Let us sing a new song unto the Lord
I am continuing to pray for each need this board represents.

I certainly believe this! The closer I get to 65 the more I am spending my time in medical facilities!
Janet ~ Opening a .pps file (Power Point file) is like opening an attachment. Also after you downloaded the Power Point Viewer did you install it? There might be an icon on your desktop that when you double click or right click and choose 'Open or Run' it, it will install the viewer to your computer. Then when you get an email with a .pps file, open it like an attachment (double click or right click and choose Open or Run). Then it should start automatically. Some of them you have to left click with your mouse to go to the next page. Do let us all know when you view a power point...I have 265 of them in a Power Point folder!! Lovely pictures and you will soon realize what you have missed out on. Right, Larry and all others who view power point slide shows?
Today I am packing and going to mow the yard. Tonight, Ivalou and I are going out to eat with Tony and Charlene for Mother's Day. Then kind of early in the morning Ivalou and I are leaving for Michigan to a high school graduation of a great-nephew.
So I won't post again until sometime Monday. Everyone have a great weekend! (https://www.christianphotographers.com/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fhome.earthlink.net%2F%7Eettasue9842%2Fsitebuildercontent%2Fsitebuilderpictures%2Ffootprints.gif&hash=67151ef50337a7e7c647a88407195b4e8184cf60)

Hi everyone. The morning got started with coffee at the senior center and then I went from there to IHOP to have breakfast with a friend. Now I have to leave in about 20 minutes to attend the RSVP luncheon for volunteers at the county Senior Center. Will come home and rest and then this evening we are going to the school play of "Charlie Brown". This is a full day for me.
Colin, glad to see you posting again and see what has been keeping you very busy. I wanted to let you know that I put together a beautiful book of your poem (per your prior permission) and printed it on parchment paper and put it in a book and gave to my good friend, who is a poet. She was most appreciative and has really enjoyed it. I found your background statement from your website and included it as an appendix. The file was done is Word so if you would like to have it I will be happy to e-mail it to you. I used various rose graphics to illustrate the pages. I thought it turned out very well.
Jeannine, sorry to hear that your husband isn't doing well. It sort of sounds like he may have given up, but sure hope I am wrong in my assessment. Glad your son is doing relatively well. It sounds like you and Colin are keeping very busy. It is nice you can team up on these projects.
Etta Sue, you probably are right about why Janet couldn't see the PowerPoint presentations. If it is installed I can't think of any reason why it wouldn't play the PowerPoint files. The ice cream social sounds good but have to agree with Darrel about attending the shower. I guess I just don't have modern thinking.
Pat, yesterday afternoon I did look at your blog and it is very attractive and I like the way it quickly displays your photographs by month. I am just not interested in blogging as have enough problem trying to get to the two message boards I try to visit each day. Years ago I signed up for a blog but don't think I ever went back to it.
Karmat, will we recognize you as a blond?
Marilyn, it is nice you were able to work out the barter deal to trade skills.
Jane, maybe it isn't met for you to do yard work anymore. It has been several years since I have been able to do my own yard work.
Time to go to my next luncheon. What a tough life I have. :)
Morining all,
We just finished a family breakfast. Hubby doesn't have to go in to work until 10am today. We like to take advantage of these days, since he gets home after dinner often. Our 13 yr. old had already made coffee for us, my hubby's lunch and was making blueberry muffins when we came downstairs. I made corned beef hash and eggs. Yes, we are reaping the benefits of homeschooling and life skills. Friday is our electives day and then we spend the afternoon with my mom, after going out to lunch. I love Fridays!
Pat-Thanks for asking about my eyes. (and the nice comments on my images) I did address them in a pretty recent post, but it was long and you may not have seen it. I went to the eye Dr. on Tuesday and he had some good news for me. My disease has not progressed from my last check-up. yeah! The bad news is that since it's hereditary, my kids could get it somewhere down the road, too. It usually starts around your 40's. Mine was a little sooner, and I could still slowly or not so slowly lose my sight. Anyway, I'm still praying for healing and for God to protect my girls from getting it.
Jeannine-I am praying for your husband. Also your shoulder. Your website with Colin is coming along nicely. You two make a good team.
Hello to everyone else. I pray that God will bless your day and weekend, but I must go for now. I did add my blog URL, even though it's very new and not much there, yet. I will be browsing others' blogs as I get time.
TGIF,
shutterbugmom
So nice to see you, Jeannine. I'm sorry to read of your news re your husband. We'll keep praying. I do hope that you keep us posted.
Thanks Kathleen. Yes, I did see your other post finally. I'm so happy about that news.
Hope any of you with BLOGS will post a link to them in our "Do You Have a Blog?" (http://www.christianphotographers.com/community/index.php?topic=6103.0) topic and I'll add links to them on the CP Blog.
And please post in the Blog. We'll try to keep it updated with CP news.
Larry, that book of poetry of Colins, sure sounds lovely. What a nice thing to do.
Hi Gord Brown!!! See you tomorrow!
PLEASE join me in welcoming Angie from England (http://www.christianphotographers.com/community/index.php?topic=6113.0)
Hi Larry....that was really nice of you and of course I would like to recieve a copy of the poem. Email address is colin@moffett66.freeserve.co.uk . Actually...I am a little confused...that is not hard for me :uglystupid:...is it a poem or poems. Anyway...thank you very much Larry and I am glad your friend liked it.
Pat my dear as you know I am Irish but not Irish and you will have more understanding of my brain having lived here and also having been married to a good Ulsterman...non better in the world of course!....but dare I say it ...we can be a wee bit dense at times...well me anyway! :idiot: Anyway...you may explain this blog thing again to me and having a blog in christiansunite...does that count. By the way....wish Gordon Brown a happy belated or is it belated birthday from me...he does not look a day over 59 ;) I know he is to become our next Prime Minister...er...perhaps that is another Gordon Brown!
Hi everyone else...take care.
Yes, Colin, having a blog at Christians Unite or any blog site counts!
So click on the link and add your URL of your blog and I'll put it on the CP blog.
I applaud those who have blogs, but as Larry says, it's not for me. I take the time to check in here, also in Seniornet, and belong to a couple of dog groups on Yahoo that I keep up with via emails. I do use E-Sword, a Bible program, but that isn't online.
The nicer the weather is, the less I'm inclined to be sitting inside at the computer. I really like being outdoors, but keep it pretty simple when trying to keep up with things. I get tired too, Jane. Maybe it's something in the water? Can't be old age.
Yes, Karma. We really do need to see your hair. I'll keep checking for your picture.
I've been sitting outside in the lovely sunshine....with two little white dogs on each side of my chair. If they can't be IN the chair, that's their favorite place. Near me. You think God is trying to teach me about love and commitment in them? <3 Blessings, Nita
Well I uploaded my photos for the competition at the fair to have them professionally printed. I printed out a couple on my printer and I didn't like the amateur way they looked. Then I priced having the matting done, but I am not ready to spend over $100. to have it all done professionally. so I will buy the ready made mats from Michael's, I think they would be less expensive than at the local gallery.
We finally got someone hired to work a few hours in the afternoon on the weekend for Ruth. I hope she will now quit calling me so many times. Especially this weekend on my cell phone as I will be busy at the Health Fair.
Well got to go back to Ruth's I am fixing a quiche for her to have over the weekend plus her supper. Sorry hat I have not responded to all of you.
Judy thanks for the info on the Raisins and grapes I was already aware of the hazards to the dogs. I try to keep up with all the medical stuff regarding my dogs. It is good to share the information as we receive it though so thanks again.
hi, all, i may be allowed to use 2 hands next week - hopefully.
much luv to all.
Grande Falls MT there has been an accident with one of our Snow Birds. He was too low to the ground to parashute out. Please pray for the remaining pilots as well as the young man's family.
Good Morning, I am ready to go do my thing at the Health FAir. See all y-all later
Hi everyone.
I started reading this morning and then my friend Rod called and we went to Fry's and then stopped by the Senior Center. I had it in my mind there was a luncheon for the Golden Olympics but it was a breakfast. I got their in time to have some cake and ice cream that was being served as the last item on the agenda and the games are now over. I still have pictures to post for awhile as I get them.
I didn't really mind missing another big meal and came home and finally figured out how to get the adapter off my new Palm Zire Z22 that I got when I exchanged the one I got yesterday. This is much smaller and lighter. I am currently charing the battery, which takes 3 hours, so I had a little rest period and have been working on something here in my office. In another 15 minutes I will be able to start on my Palm as it will be charged.
Colin, I sent you an e-mail with the Word files relating to your poems that I used to create the poetry book of your poetry. Thanks again.
Marilyn, glad there is someone to relieve you with Ruth for the weekends. Hope your health fair turns out well.
Angie, welcome to CP. I hope you will join us in this discussion.
Well time to go play with my new electronic toy. Headed for my easychair.
Judy, I'm sorry to hear about that accident. We had a US Navy Blue Angel die a couple of weeks ago in a SC air show. So sad when that happens.
We went to a homeschool graduation today. It was really nice. Bernard sang and it about wiped him out for the evening. It was the first time he had played and/or sang in public since the surgery.
Hope ya'll are having a good weekend.
Back home again and did quite well at the Heath Fair., however it remains to be seen about the follow ups.
We had an amazing day out garage sale-ing. John got into the spirit and found a new desk for himself. Mom found a balsamic vinegar bottle that looked like blue delft. All in all a marvelous time
Marilyn I am glad you have had relief on the weekends. I have been concerned that you have been over doing it.
Karma I am glad that Beernard was able to sing, Let him know his strength will come back, it just takes time. We are praying.
Larry your days are so full. How ever did you find time to go to work?
Pat Did you have a good time at Gord"s? Get any pictures? Be sure to post some for all of us to see.
Have you folks looked at the picture board? There are some amazing pictures there. Take a gander and enjoy!
Well It is late and we have an early morning tomorrow. Kassie is so organized, she has her clothes picked out and laid out on her chair so she can sleep a few more minutes in the morning. I can take a lesson from her!
Night all God Bless and whatever is thrown at you praise God and remember that He ultimately IS in control!
Hi everyone. It is a beautiful day here in Georgia and a very special one for Pat and I as we have the privilege of attending our daughter's church as she moves her membership there this morning. This is an absolute miracle and God has once again worked in his mysterious way. For over 25 years she did not attend church or show any interest. She has turned her life around and made God an important part of it.
Following church today we will take our daughter and her friend, who is attending church with her, out to a good lunch at the Country Buffet.
JudyB, my sister-in-law must be the world's favorite garage sale goer. The last time we visited her she had found 100 matching glasses. Now mind you she lives in a very small apartment with a small kitchen and there was hardly room to do anything on the cabinet. I don't go to garage sales anymore as we don't have room for much else or need much else in our home. Glad you all had a nice day out together and found somethings you could use.
Marilyn, hopefully some of your leads from the Health Fair will become good customers for your business. Enjoy your weekend.
Karmat, all of the young folks participating in the play "Charlie Brown" were homeschooled. All of my friend Rod's grandchildren have been homeschooled and his son-in-law heads a Master's academy that teaches the classics and Latin and Greek. They make an annual educational tour to Europe with a number of the youth. Glad that Bernard had the opportunity to use his talents for singing and playing yesterday. A good nights rest will help restore him.
I hope this is a wonderful Lord's Day for you all.
The question is not, was Bernard exhausted, but were the listeners exhausted! With just a bit more seriousness, I pray he will have all and more than all of his strength back pronto.
Had a lovely day yesterday with Ruthie. We met in the morning and got home way after midnight.
We had a lovely time at Gord's home at his Birthday and then we went to Niagara Falls and Niagara-on-the-Lake.
Well I am home from church now. I had homemade tamales for lunch. One of our teenagers is going to Germany, she was selling homemade tamales to raise money for the trip. It is her school German class that is going for 3 weeks this summer.
It is Sarah's BD today and I was planning to go there this afternoon before I have to go back to church for my financial class after prayer meeting. However no one is home at their house. I got her a gift card to Bed Bath and Beyond.
Sure is quite around here, where is everyone?
TTYL
Heeheheh. We just had a *panic* that turned into a big laugh here at the Shuford house. Kristi absolute LOVES cheetos. So, she was about half way through munching on some, and Bernard brings me the bowl and says look at this -- the cheetos had green stuff all over them. Yikes. Moldy cheetos? So, then Kristi comes to see me and her mouth and hands are green (instead of orange). In the back of my mind, I'm thinking of some kind of promotional when something would turn your mouth blue. So, I find the bag, and sure enough, they are "Shrek III" cheetos -- and they turn your mouth green. So, we had a good "relief" laugh.
Anyway. Bernard didn't make it to church today. Yesterday wore him out. :(
Hope everyone had a good day. Laters!
Oh, my goodness, Karma! HAHAHAHA! I haven't seen that kind up here. I hope I don't!
Marilyn, I don't think I've eaten a tamale.
Pat you don't know what you are missing they are sooooooooo good.
Time to lock the door!
