Morning Devotional...

Admiring God

Verse

Great is the LORD and most worthy of praise; his greatness no one can fathom.
Psalm 145:3

The dictionary says that to admire is "to regard with wondering esteem accompanied by pleasure and delight; to look at or upon with an elevated feeling of pleasure." According to this definition, God has few admirers among Christians today. Many are they who are grateful for His goodness in providing salvation. At Thanksgiving time the churches ring with songs of gratitude that "all is safely gathered in." Testimony meetings are mostly devoted to recitations of incidents where someone got into trouble and got out again in answer to prayer. To decry this would be uncharitable and unscriptural for there is much of the same thing in the Book of Psalms. It is good and right to render unto God thanksgiving for all His mercies to us. But God's admirers, where are they? The simple truth is that worship is elementary until it begins to take on the quality of admiration. Just as long as the worshiper is engrossed with himself and his good fortune, he is a babe. We begin to grow up when our worship passes from thanksgiving to admiration. As our hearts rise to God in lofty esteem for that which He is ("I AM THAT I AM"), we begin to share a little of the selfless pleasure which is the portion of the blessed in heaven.

Thought
Great is Yahweh! His greatness is humanly unfathomable. His greatness is in who He is. So little time do we devote to just reflecting upon His greatness. It is that reflection that generates heart worship.

Prayer

O God, You are great, great beyond my ability to grasp but I worship You, O Lord!

From Devotions By Dr. Tozer

Hi everyone on a cool Sunday morning and it is to stay cool all day, only getting to 57 degrees this afternoon.  We have our regular Sunday planned with Sunday School and Church this morning, perhaps have lunch out and then enjoy the rest of the day quietly at home.  We did not leave the house yesterday.  I watched a lot of college football yesterday including a very exciting ending to the Georgia/Georgia Southern game that went into to overtime before Georgia finally won.  I will likely watch some pro football this afternoon.

Janet, that is quite impressive that you ran a 5K race.  You deserved a large turkey for your effort and willingness to participate.  Hope the hot tub prevented too much soreness.  Forty dollars for something used once and for a short time doesn't make a lot of sense.  I have never understood why tens of thousands of dollars are spent on a wedding when that money would go a long way in getting a home or household set up.  I know, I am not a mother so can't understand.  :)

Carol, those hours of waiting can be so tiring.  Nice of the person to bring the therapy dog to the waiting room.  That was some wind storm and do hope you had no damage.

Don, Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.  I like your scripture quotation for our devotional for this new week and the devotional you share with us.  .

Jeanne Lee

Don, thank you for the grand devotional with the definition of "admire".  It does seem as though we get into a rut of thanks for help and gifts.  This from Dr. Tozer should help us remember there is more than that to our relationship with God.

Carol

Don, I read the message from Dr. Tozer and first thought of the women at our round table on Wednesdays (at church).  There are such clear messages of love among all of them - I admire one especially who lost a daughter and two grandchildren to a son-in-laws suicide and murder of his family.  Her grands have been gone for years and yet - she testifies daily and has such a wonderful message to anyone in crisis.  That is a strong faith we are privileged to know.  There is always hope.  Thank you for your good work and the message we ought to admire the Lord daily and the ones who do so with their lives.

Our three sons are coming over to watch the Minnesota game today so there is a crockpot of clam chowder simmering and cheese biscuits yet to bake.  Lots of munchies.  The boys are going to miss Thanksgiving with us and they must have talked among themselves about visiting & oh, yes - a game. It makes us happy.  Sun is shining and the roads are starting to clear - still icy in the shade and weather looks good for Thanksgiving.

Larry:  We did not have any damage because the highest winds were very west and up the hill.  Interstate 70 was closed overnight with thousands stranded - I have no idea where they can even put all those people.  Broncos are playing right now with Manning sitting home here, recuperating.

Janet

We went to the early service again this morning, which gives us a long afternoon!  Next Sunday there will be only one service.

Larry, the hot tub did help.  I really think if I had not kept moving all afternoon, though, that I would be much more sore than I am.  I have a little soreness in my legs, but not bad at all.  Kristi sent me a text message in the afternoon that said, "Way to go this morning!!"  I replied, "Thanks.  and Thanks for the turkey"  to which she replied, "You earned it.  You are a good example.  Keep up the good work!"  She is such an encourager.  I really appreciate her!

It looks as if it is pretty nice outside right now, so I think I will go see if I can get some of the dust out of the camper.  We need the extra bed the weekend of the wedding!  Need to strip off and wash the sheets, too.  So much to think about; so little time!  :-\

Larry, glad you are having an easy weekend.  Those are good.  Which of the Georgia teams were you rooting for?  I think K-State got beaten pretty badly again yesterday.  I wasn't watching but Darrel told me that.  This wedding will not be lavish nor expensive, but very meaningful and I pray it will bring glory to God, Who has preserved Beth's life all this time and is now fulfilling her dreams.  So it will be special, and nice, though not expensive.  How I wish all of my CP friends could be here!

Carol, how great to have your three sons there, you can call it an early Thanksgiving.  I'm sure you are thankful they still enjoy coming to visit Mom and Dad.  Just ENJOY!!  I would really hate to be stranded out on the highway in a storm!  Hope they found lodging for all those unfortunate people.

Does anyone have the latest report on Pat?

Janet, I haven't had any news from or about Pat, except that there were all kinds of test scheduled for last week.  I've written to Heather (Judy's daughter) to ask if there is anything new.  As soon as I find out anything I'll post it.   :)

Hi everyone on the coolest day of the fall so far.  It was 32 degrees when I got up this morning.  However, the sun is brightly shining and it is to get to about 54 degrees this afternoon.  I did bring both of my plants in from the porch last evening and will leave the Impatiens plant in the house in our sun room for the winter.  I will put the mums back on the porch later today so I can continue to enjoy it.  After church yesterday we went to Firehouse Subs for lunch and had a delicious sub.  I have a couple of things on tab for today but not a heavy schedule.  I will probably go with Pat to Publix this morning as she gets items for the Thanksgiving dinner.  Then at noon I plan on attending a meeting.

Carol, I expect the folks stranded on the Interstate probably had to spend the night in their cars.  At least that is what happened to people on the Interstate around Atlanta a couple year ago during the terrible ice storm that stranded many.  Nice your sons came over but sure they were disappointed with the outcome of the game.  There really isn't much better than being able to spend time with our children.  Glad you escaped without damage from those high winds.

Janet, glad you didn't have a lot of soreness left from the 5K race you did.  Kristi sounds like a very special person.  I always root for the Atlanta Falcons as lived in the Atlanta area for over 30 years.  They did not win on Sunday. However, I am now also following the the Carolina Panthers, who are undefeated this season. On the college front will pull for the Georgia University team as well as the South Carolina University and the Clemson teams. I am sure you are putting together a beautiful and memorable wedding for Beth.  The love we put into something is much more valuable than the amount of money we spend on something.  So happy that Beth is going to have this dream fulfilled.

Jeanne, thanks for keeping tabs on Pat.

Carol

I came in to check on Pat's news.  Hello Pat!  Sending up a prayer for your health and happiness.

At a few seconds after 8 AM (when the car place opens), I called for an appointment next week.  The children are giving us a special built in blind spot locator on our rear view mirrors - our Toyota has a really terrible blind spot and it just unnerves us in traffic and everything is fast traffic these days.  So, next week that will be fixed and we won't look like bobble-heads when changing lanes.   ^-^

Yes, yesterday afternoon was great.  Munchies, clam chowder soup and cheese biscuits were the menu.  Love having them all here - they liven up the house.  Thanksgiving will be at daughter's house with only a small snowfall that day.  We are blessed.  Minnesota Vikings lost - and Colorado Broncos won another game.

The sun is shining on snow and it looks like a ravine of diamonds in the back.

Janet:  I hope you can have the time to relax and enjoy this wedding.

We are home from the gym.  I spent the afternoon yesterday decluttering--piles of mail are my biggest housekeeping challenge!--and worked on it more this morning after my time with the Lord, and while waiting for Darrel to wake up  Kristi wasn't at the gym--I expect she is using a few vacation days to get ready for Thanksgiving.  So I did what I thought I should do, finishing up by walking backward around the gym, as fast as I dared.  BUT..someone had left a lone basketball at the far end of the court, and, not seeing it, I fell over it!  :(  OUCH!  No real damage, I don't think, as I caught most of my weight on the palm of my right hand, the rest on my bottom  It hurt like crazy for a while, and will likely be sore, but I don't think anything is broken!

Praise God!!  He is healing Beth, little by little, as He told me he would do!  John said this morning that yesterday when he walked into her room, Beth said, "I got my voice back!" and that she was talking "as clear as a bell!"  I didn't see her yesterday, but I told John this is the promise of God being fulfilled in her life.  Of course, he is thrilled about it, too!  God is SO good!  All the time!!

We are leaving just before noon to go to Garden City to get the wedding programs printed.  John is going with us to get his Kansas driver's license and tags for his car.  He could get the tags here, but not change from out-of-state to Kansas license, so he can do it all at once.  He will just have Finney county tags instead of Grant county. ;)

Carol, our new car has those blind spot indicators, too.  I'm coming to rely on them, even though trafic in our area is light.

Larry, thanks for answering my question.  Yes, Kristi is a wonderful person, very kind, giving and encouraging.  I love her.  Going to the gym sure isn't the same when she's not there, but everyone needs time off!

I must get ready to go.  Have to pick up the flash drive with the infor for the folders at 5 or 10 to 12 and I must NOT be late!

Love you guys!!

Hi everyone.  It was another 32 degree early morning but is to get up to about 57 this afternoon.  The sky is clear and the sun is shining so what else could I want.  Pat did get a turkey and what she needed for the Thanksgiving dinner yesterday and I was able to get some walking done in the store.  I plan on going to coffee downtown this morning and that will be about it for today as far as I know at this point.

Carol, I didn't know there was a blind spot fix for the side mirror.  I may have to check into it and that is a big concern when I drive.

Janet, oh no, not another fall.  Why were you walking backward?  Glad you were not seriously hurt.  Great news about Beth getting her voice back.  I hope John had all the necessary papers to get his Kansas license and driver's license.  We found it to be a pretty difficult task here in South Carolina.

Ed

Just checkin' in.  Nice to see so many of the long time posters still posting.

I posted an update on Donna cancer treatment on the Prayer thread.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone.  I will reflect on God's part in Donna's cancer and remember that He is in charge.  I've read the last chapter....and the Guy in the white hat wins....or is "on the white horse."

Ed, good to see you popping in again!  When I finish this I will go read about your precious Donna.  I am glad that you are relying on the One who is our strength and very present help in time of trouble.

Larry, it is up close to 70* here this afternoon, yet they say we are to get snow on Thursday.  We shall see!  I was walking backward because I hed done a lot of weight work and Kristi always tells us we need to do something behind our backs to balance thing out, so we don't start walking bent over forward.  So I did some weights behind me, then went to walk backward, as that is a very good balance exercise.  Anyway, no real harm done.  I had a lot of pain yesterday, but took Ibuprofen and got it under control.

We had a really frustrating trip to Garden City, though.  Did not get the programs printed as the gal at Staples said they couldn't move anything on the flash drive and it wasn't what I wanted in terms of the format.  And John got neither his tags, because his car is still at the body shop and they need to verify the VIN #, and the drivers license place is closed on Mondays.  Sigh........

I got the corrections and everything done on the flash drive now, but will have to make yet another trip to get the programs printed and folded.  We are now down to 10 days!!!!  John, Beth and I will meet with the pastor on Tuesday afternoon, the girls will come help me decorate on Thursday, rehearsal on Friday and then the wedding on Saturday!! Whew!  I feel like this.... :tiredtread:    :)

I have been cleaning house and trying to get ready to do a lot of cooking tomorrow and Thursday morning.  We will use that big turkey I won!   8)

Glenn Beck says today is the beginning of World War Three, with the Turks shooting down the Russian fighter jet.  Only God can keep us in perfect peace in these times.  Aren't you glad you know Him?  I wouldn't want to live a single day without Him!

Hi everyone.  It is not quite as cool here this morning as started out in the low 40's and will warm up a bit by afternoon.  I can see fluffy clouds with some blue sky from my office window.  Nothing particular on the schedule for today.  I know Pat will be preparing a pumpkin pie later today and I don't know what else.  A lot more activity at the house next door yesterday and just now the man arrived with the overhead garage door, which seems to happen as one of the last tasks in getting these houses finished.

Ed, I will check out your posting in the Prayer discussion.  Good to see a post from you yesterday.  I am glad I have read the last chapter as well--it is very comforting.

Janet, thanks for the info on the walking backwards as I had not heard this before.  Sorry to read that your trip to Garden City was so frustrating.  Can't say I am surprised at John not being able to get either his tags or driver's license as that seems to be the going pattern now with so many Federal government regulations the States must follow.  I am sure the next 10 days will go by very quickly with Thanksgiving and then the activities involved with the wedding.  Please don't forget to take a few minutes for Janet in all of the bustle and hustle of activities.  I certainly hope Glenn Beck is wrong about the beginning of World War Three but the world is very unsettled now and I read yesterday that China is also getting involved in the situation in the Mid-East.  Of course I am sure that all this talk of climate change will calm down the situation!

Carol

Happy Pre-Thanksgiving Day to all.  We will drive to daughter's home (about a 45 min drive) tomorrow for the day - unless more snow fall than the 2 in. predicted - wind will matter too.  Today, Don has a VA appointment in the afternoon and traffic will be a pickle for sure - weather is coming in from the hills too.

There are many issues going on right that that could make me nervous and doubting - but it is so good to lift up those concerns.

Have a wonderful and peaceful time on our Thanksgiving Day here in the US.  I know Canadians are smart and have their holiday earlier when they don't have to think about weather patterns.

Janet

Darrel and I made another quick trip to Garden City this morning, and did succeed in getting the wedding folders printed.  They look very nice, though not quite the format I had in mind.  It won't matter, though.  I have my sweet potatoes cooked so will just dress those up tomorrow.  Have the mashed potatoes and the dressing and gravy to make yet.  Darrel will put the big turkey in the roaster either tonight on low, or in the morning.  We plan to have our meal around 1 or 2, whenever the kids get here.  We have a pecan pie ready and I will make a lemon pie in the morning.  I'm so glad Diane is good about helping with meals like this, and now Abby is pitching in, too.  Toni and Curt and the girls will eat with her parents at noon and come up later.  Mark and Tiffany planned to come, if the weather allows.

Carol, I hope the weather is fine so you can go to your daughter's house.  Stay safe!  :)

Larry, enjoy that pumpkin pie.  That's my next-to-last choice of pies--last would be mincemeat!  I don't mind pumpkin; it's just that I like other kinds more!  ;)

Guess I better do something.  But, since I got up at 3:30, that something just might be a nap!  :)

Hi, friends,

I'm venturing out this evening for the first time since being so sick. I'm thankful for God's healing touch.

It's been a good day - I've spoken with all three of my Stateside children, and will be eating dinner with my daughter and her hubby today. He has really become a runner, and will be running in a race tomorrow morning, in fact.

Y'all have a blessed rest of the day.

Ruth Ann
...his compassions fail not.  They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.

Carol

Ruth Ann:  Good news that you are feeling better and very nice that you could speak with three of your children.  Best wishes to you SIL on his run on Thanksgiving.

One son & grandson drove to Fort Worth today and they will return on Friday (weather isn't nice either) so we will feel so relieved when everyone returns.

Several hunks of greens are in the fridge awaiting my morning touches for a salad - the vinaigrette is made and there is a cranberry cinnamon bread ready for the bread baker - so easy to set those up.  It still seems strange to not have everyone coming to my house and fixing the entire meal with desserts.

Don has started one of the bible stories on Netflix - they have some good movies and some we don't care to even start..

Larry Hanna

Hi everyone on this beautiful Thanksgiving morning.  There is not a cloud in the sky this morning.  We are looking forward to a nice day with our son as he will be over later this morning or early afternoon.  Pat is planning on having our Thanksgiving dinner sometime around 3 pm or so.  I will be watching some football games this afternoon. I did not sleep well last night so sure I will try to get a little nap in before the big meal.

The new house being built next to us was finally completed yesterday with the installation of the garage door, putting in the planting and laying down the pine straw and cleaning up all of the building left overs and trash from the front yard.  Our street should be much quieter now without all the workers coming and going.  The builder told me yesterday he things the closing with the new owners is to occur on Tuesday so we should have new neighbors within a few days.

Here wishing each and everyone who will be celebrating Thanksgiving today a pleasant time as we give thanks for our many blessings, including seeing us through some tough times.

Carol, hope you all made it to the VA and home yesterday without problems and that the weather cooperates so you can get to your daughter's home today to be with family.

Janet, glad you were able to get the programs printed.  It sounds like you will be surrounded by a lot of family today.  Pumpkin pie is my son's favorite so that is a tradition for our Thanksgiving meal.  Usually Pat would also make a pecan pie but decided not to do that this year as there are only three of us to eat the pie and one is more than sufficient.

Ruth Ann, glad you were feeling up to getting out yesterday and hope today finds you feeling even better.

Marilyn

Happy Thanksgiving to all y'all. We went to dinner at Benetti's Italian Restaurant in Coos Bay this afternoon. They do an annual community dinner on Thanksgiving. It was wonderful, some of the other board members from Pacific Cove Humane Society were there volunteering to wait the tables.

Tomorrow I take Freckles to the hospital to visit patients with 5 other teams. A team being one human and one dog. I had her groomed on Monday and her  fur is so soft ans shiny. Our kitty is improving day by day and has become a house cat, no more outside for him as he is still pretty frail. He has learned to use the litter box now Praise the Lord. IO made a little sweater for him our of on of those hospital sock they give you that have the no slip bottom I just cut off the toe part and made holes for his front legs.

Hi everyone on this day after Thanksgiving.  It is a beautiful, sunny day here with a predicted high of 70 degrees this afternoon.  As far as I know we will stay home today and it is my goal to stay out of as many stores as possible between now and Christmas.

We had a very nice late dinner yesterday afternoon.  Everything was great except the green bean casserole.  We each took a bite of it and it tasted really strange so we decided to discard the dish and eat no more of it.  As I was cleaning up the kitchen I looked at the use by date of the French Fried Onions that had been used and it was August 2013 and the onions had turned rancid.  Fortunately it appears no harm was done and we didn't get food poisoning.  I did watch some of the football games and we had a nice peaceful afternoon.  However, I was so tired last evening that I went to bed a little after 7 pm and had a very restful night with no problem sleeping.

Marilyn, that sounds like a fine way to spend your Thanksgiving and certainly easy on the cook.  I am sure you will enjoy your time visiting at the hospital with your Freckles and the other members of your team.

Happy day after Thanksgiving!  I didn't even turn my computer on yesterday!  I got  up at 4:00 and after spending time with my Father, I started cooking at 7:30 and finished cleaning up the kitchen at about 7:00 last night.   :-\  Yes, I know---too much of a good thing!  And we had tons of stuff left over.  Diane brought several dishes, too, as we had divided the menu between us.  And I sent a lot of it home with her, as Mark is home for some days until after Beth's wedding (Tiffany has to work, so she is driving back to St. Louis.)  Anyway, I packed up turkey, dressing, potatoes, gravy, sweet potatoes, pie and cranberry sauce for them so she shouldn't have to cook much for at least a couple of days.  And we won't, either!  We had four kinds of pie!  Abby made an apple one, I had a pecan and made both lemon and chocolate.  Too much pie!

Beth and John came out, but she wasn't doing well yesterday.  She seemed very lethargic.  We are so praying she will have a really good day for the wedding.  What a disappointment if she can't even enjoy that special day.  Before she left, she told Diane, "Thank you for being in my wedding."  So, of course, that is uppermost in her mind.

I must get the final stuff done, such as making the part of the punch that needs to be frozen, and making sure all the loose ends are tied up.  I guess if I forget something, the world will keep on turning!  I just want to make it a special day for them, and some days feel a bit overwhelmed.

Curtis and Toni and the little girls didn't come yesterday.  I knew they were eating with her parents at noon because her brother was home, but they had planned to come in the afternoon.  However, the weather was nasty, with sleet and, freezing rain, so I was glad they didn't take the chance.  I sure did miss seeing them, though!

Marilyn, hope you are having fun with Freckles today!

Larry, glad you all didn't take the chance and eat the green bean casserole.  I rarely pay attention to those use by dates, but your experience shows me I need to!  I do look at the dates on milk and things like that.

Jeff, Diane, Mark and Tiffany pitched in and finished the folding of the wedding programs for me!  Yea!  One more item crossed off the list!

I need to find my notebook and see what I need to do today.  I am mostly going to REST, because that's what the Lord told me to do!  ;)

Snow - sleet - ice - wind - sunshine in between.  And, a terrible story coming from Colorado Springs with a shooting.

Larry:  I laughed about your French Onion Rings because --- I made that mistake myself and actually had the green bean dish on the table.  We could smell something off - our daughter jumped up and ran to the trash to check the due date on the rings and it was way overdue.  And, to think that is a yearly duty in this house - I sure missed that one.  It is still the talk of the children.

Six degrees F. this morning.  We stayed in all day and I did some sewing, some 'puter work and so forth.  Really chilly for the next four days.  We had a wonderful visit with daughter and family - friends there as well - however, the drive both ways was quite dicey and there were a few cars in the ditches.

Janet:  No one went home hungry from your house.  Mmmm I can just imagine how good everything was on the table.  Our grand made a Silk Chocolate pie and her brother made a pumpkin pie.  My cranberry bread turned out so sweet that it was almost a dessert too.

Our grands and all the college kids plus two little girls said several graces - that was so special to witness.

We read about the mobs of people fighting over sales - what is the purpose of Thanksgiving?  They don't know.

Janet

Yes, Carol, it is so ironic that we have a day to thank God for all our blessings, and then people run out and push and shove like mad to purchase more STUFF they don't need!  I stay out of that mess!  I was surprised to hear about your mistake with the expire date, as you are such a wonderful, meticulous cook.  Makes you more human in my eyes!  (((hugs)))  I remember my first mother-in-law, who set out from the beginning to teach me how to do everything from washing dishes, to folding clothes to darning socks.  One day she was cooking beets, left the kitchen for something and the beets boiled over, all down the front of the stove and all over the floor!  Sure did me a world of good to see her make a mistake!  By the way, I did know how to do a lot of things and resented her bossiness, but we came to peaceful terms and even affection for each other.  I was only 18 and she thought I didn't know how to do anything except milk cows!   ;)

Larry, are you sleeping in this morning?

ONE WEEK until the wedding!!  I am trying hard not to forget anything I need to do!

Very cold here, praying for good weather toward and through the weekend next week!

Hi everyone on another clear sky morning with moderate temps.  Nothing much to share this morning as we didn't leave the house yesterday and probably won't today.  Of course, today are three big college football games that I want to follow.  Unfortunately all three start at noon so will be doing some big time channel switching although can watch all three at once using the big TV or my Chromebook, my iPhone and my iPad, each tuned to a different game.  The wonders of the modern age at work.

Janet, it sounds like you all had quite a feast.  We sent a lot of our leftovers home with Scott.  He loves his mother's cooking although he is a good cook himself.  Sure hope Beth will be feeling much less lethargic on her wedding day.  I bet if you didn't get every little thing done before the wedding you would be the only one realizing it.  :)  Please keep in mind this question I ask myself all the time, i.e., "How Important Is It". It sounds like you all had some really bad weather.  I didn't sleep in this morning but sure didn't rush around. Enjoyed your grandmother story.  Mine was sort of opposite with my Dad as he never had the time to let me learn by making mistakes and it wasn't a pleasant experience.

Carol, what terrible weather you all are having.  I watched the news on the shootings out there and it sure looked miserable and cold for the people having to stay out in it.  Our green bean casserole also made it to the table and a serving on each plate, where it stayed after a small bite or two.  We don't seem to have suffered any ill effect other than that terrible taste.  Pat had no idea those onions were outdated or would never have used them.  They must have gotten hidden in the back of the pantry and moved over here with Pat thinking they were a recent purchase because we have had other green bean casseroles since 2013.  I wouldn't get into those mobs of people fighting for the sales even if the items were free.

Confession:  I used to go to the after-Christmas sales bright and early. Until...... my cart was over on the side of the orderly mob & it could be filled then I would walk to another area finding cards for the next year and so on.  Not much, not greedy.  But - someone took my cart and with it nice wrapping paper, all the cards.  of all the nerve.  Walked out of the store and never went to another sale.

Janet:  Prayers for you and for Beth - peace and stamina - well being for Beth.

Janet:  for sure, I am not perfect.  My family would be the first to tell you....  ;D Do hope you take a nice vacation when the wedding is over - much deserved.

Marilyn

Good afternoon everyone,  I just came in from a walk with Freckles. We walk every day sometimes twice or three times a day whatever I feel like doing. Ever since my insurance  decided not to pay for my Spireva, and had me get Anoro Ellipta instead for my COPD, afternoon walks uphill really taxes my chest and lungs. downhill is good it is the steep uphill back home that is so tough. But I manage somehow because I need the exercise and so does she.

Marilyn:  I am very sorry that you have to battle COPD.  Being at sea level must be of some help - we have a friend who had to move to a lower altitude.  Still, it seems as though you keep active and enjoy a good life and fun with the doggies.  I hope you have relief from the medication.
