God has created me to do him some definite service;
he has committed some work to me
which he has not committed to another.
I have my mission -

Morning Devotional...
Jesus Gives the Great Commission
Matthew 28:16-20 NLT
Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
(https://www.christianphotographers.com/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi195.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fz77%2FEttaSue%2FCP%2FAnis%2FStarblinking.gif&hash=27e115f9cd5672d07457eb7160f143473dc479d4)What are you doing specifically to obey Christ's words?
When someone is dying or leaving us, his last words are very important.
Jesus left the disciples with these last words of instruction:
They were under his authority
They were to make more disciples
They were to baptize and teach them to obey him
He would be with them always
Whereas in previous missions Jesus had sent his disciples only to the Jews, their mission from now on would be worldwide. Jesus is Lord of the earth, and he died for the sins of all those who trust him, everywhere.
We are to go--whether it is next door or to another country--and make disciples. It is not an option but a command to all who call Jesus Lord. All of us are not evangelists, but we have all received gifts that we can use in helping to fulfill the great commission. As we obey, we have comfort in the knowledge that Jesus is always with us.
The Best of the Bible--365 Must-Read Bible Passages
I have been among the missing for a little while; I'm back now. Had a really busy day yesterday.
I have been here reading posts for some time, and following two sleepless nights, I am nodding off. So I'm going to take a nap, will try to be back later.
Good Afternoon My Friends!
I was just voting on the wonderful church photos that you have placed here for us to enjoy and it gave such a hard contrast to things that happened before I came to vote. I work in our rental office which is closed on Sundays. However, we have residents there who have guests who want to use the clubhouse to watch today's Vikings football game. They could not get the huge screened television to work, so they called me to see if I could find a circuit breaker in one of the locked offices. I could not find one, so I called another maintenence guy who came and found it and soon the food and fun were going and the folks thanked us profusely for getting the game going and taking our personal time, off the clock to do so.
While in the club house, three teenagers arrived who have been banned from the premises. They have been disruptive and are rude and upsetting. There are two boys, one tall with that hooded and "I might just shoot everyone" dark eyes with tatooes and piercings all over the place. He might be about fifteen. Then there is a girl who drags around with them. Skinny, dishwater blonde with an attitude up to here, her eyes always go to them when confronted with, "Are you eighteen"?
which is the club rule to use any of the exercise equipment. There is a large television in there and the family folks had turned it on to see the game from there. "We're watching the game" she said, her eyes challenging me but darting to the two other boys for their approval. Then we get to the youngest...at least he is the shortest. Very blonde hair, bright blue eyes, somebody's poster baby about thirteen years ago. Now, he has a mouth like a sewer and mannerisms to match.
I went in and asked them to leave. "I can be here" he kept saying. Then believing that I had some kind of authority, he left and his cronies followed. He marched into the party room where the people had their food spread out and began EATING and DRINKING their stuff. Two burly teens from the family party asked him to leave, at which time he finished his drink and uttered an expletive to the bunch.
Later, as I left the clubhouse, he saw me as he rode by on his bike and shot me the same expletive. I was so angry. I wanted to snatch him off that bike and spank him good, but of course, I cannot do that. ( Too bad, huh?)
When I came here and sat down and saw the photos of the churches, so serene and so beckoning, to remember that Jesus loves that trio of young people and would want me to show them the same mercy He has shown me when I was young and rebellious. Perhaps my rebellion was not the same, but it was rebellion all the same, and I know that often, I broke God's heart.
I imagined that I was sitting in the congregation of one of the churches and praising and worshipping God. I imagined that I was praying with a quiet and
serene congregation. Praying for sinners like myself, and then praying for young people, then I honed it down to "praying for those three" who will come to no good if someone does not pray for them.
As you all might remember, my passion is younger kids. Pre-schoolers, and I do not work well with teens. I didnt work well with those I gave BIRTH to! LOL
But I pray someone can and will reach them before it's too late. I asked God right then and there to touch those young people, to keep them safe.
I would hate nothing more than to see the face of one or more of those precious children on the front page of a newspaper having had something done or having done something awful to someone. They are headed that way, for sure, if nothing turns them around and no one cares.
I guess my sharing is long, but the words of this poem stuck in my heart:
God has created me to do him some definite service;
he has committed some work to me
which he has not committed to another.
I have my mission -
I never may know it in this life,
but I shall be told it in the next.
Thank you for reminding me!
"A charge to keep I have...a God to glorify!"
Love and Blessings!
Zenobia
Oh, Zenobia, first it's great to see you here. Then, I have to thank our Lord for using our photo challenge to help ease your heart and bring these rebellious young people into your (and now my) prayers. :)
All I can say is AMEN to the above posts, and prayers of Zee and Jeanne ... and now me. I pray I'll always be open and aware of the love of God working in and through me... reaching out to those around me who desperately need Him ... whether they know it or not.
We have been at the cabin - slightly working as usual. It is 8,600 ft. altitude and I had headaches on and off this time. Don pinched his hand & had a big blister. It hurts to look at it. It is warmer than it should be and very dry. One neighbor about a block away was burning scrap lumber - I guess the burn ban did not apply to our county but it was so foolish. The fire danger is now Very High so that is a clue of not setting a fire.
Janet: Our g-daughter started playing volleyball too. She is interested in it and now getting good & one week had 16 serves in a row which won the game.
Liz: Taxes - I can see why people get angry. Here, the state OK'd a new way of billing on utilities & boy have the rates ever risen. This is terrible and horrible for people on the edge money & work wise. Glad that your Wendy will be given more health attention - praying it won't take too long.
Larry: More tests for Stacey. It sounds good that they are realizing her meds need changing. Bless your girl!
I was privileged to watch the full moon rise from the cabin looking east over the mountain. How glorious. The aspen are bright golden leaves now - I forgot my camera, Pat. Knew you would think of that! There are not too many lights in the area so star gazing and moon watching is great. If one looks, how can they not believe?
I have been away from the site for a few days busy doing this and that. This weekend was the local fair in Bolton, I did go today for a very short time, lots of people but I must say that I got bored and came home. Not really to many changes from years past, and truly I felt that the crafts entries were way down. I did go for a specific reason and was successful so that is good.
My cousin whom I have not said very much about got a good Dr's report and does not need to have chemo or report for a check up for two months of which she is very happy for that, please keep her in your prayers if possible.
Just yesterday I and a friend went with the church lady's group on a mystery bus trip that ended up at Niagara Falls, we stopped here and there along the way with a lovely dinner at Betty's Restaurant all home cooking, lovely. I must say that one place we stopped was a planned tour and truly I must say that for a church group it would not have been my choice of stop, why complain as I have so much to be thankful for. Oh well. I will say that it was a good but long day in a school bus. I was glad to be home.
I have a busy week ahead but will try to stop by and say hello.
Hi everyone. Just back from coffee, walking about a half mile at the church gym and a quick stop at the grocery store. That was just about all I want to do for awhile. The only other thing I have on my schedule is to have lunch with my men's group at 1 pm.
We had nice rain here yesterday afternoon and throughout the night with more possible today. Then it is suppose to be very nice with cooler temperatures.
Zeeber, don't you wonder what young people like you described will be as adults. Maybe they will grow up someday.
Ruth, your bus trip sounds like it was a lot of fun. Pat and I haven't done anything like that in a very long time. I think the last time was to see the fall foliage in the North Georgia mountains and that was several years ago.
We have had exciting news here in Atlanta today with the announcement that Air Tran is being acquired by Southwest Airlines. This should help us get some lower fares and give the Atlanta market access to Southwest, which we haven't had before.
Carol, the burning in the mountains when it is dry seems totally irresponsible. Glad it didn't turn into a disaster.
Janet, hope you were able to rest last night and are not so tired today.
Etta Sue, thanks for the new devotional material for this week.
Well, it's dark, cool and wet here right now. The leaf colors seemed to get a later start this year but looks like they're trying to make up for lost time. Each morning I see more reds and oranges outside my "office" window. I do love the colors but I could enjoy them so much more if I could only forget for a while what comes next! ;)
Waiting for the contractor - ...... no communication since Thursday morning..........
Ruth: Glad that your cousin had some good news about her health. I have never been to Niagara Falls but the pictures always look amazing.
Larry: We could see the fire burning & it just made me so angry that I did not dare go over to the place - there have been several fires lately and we are close to the beautiful Rocky Mountain National Park where there were two fires. We have Red Flag wind & hot weather warnings now in the front range (along the east side of the mountains) all the way to the border. I used to fly Southwest when we lived in Texas and need to check their flights because we can go to Phoenix on them. No charge for the bag!!
I need to call a neighbor and ask her to help me begin a knitting project. :coffee:
:ticked: :ticked: :ticked: :ticked: I had a long post ready, and lost the whole thing! Rats!!! I must go, will try to do it over again later.
Janet: :aaah:
I sometimes use a word processor when my computer is finicky, on line..... then copy & paste.....
I am a bookkeeper and have often done two or more hours of work only to have the program crash and lose all my work. If I remember I put the auto-save on, in Excel, to prevent a catastrophe happening!
(https://www.christianphotographers.com/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi195.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fz77%2FEttaSue%2FCP%2FAnis%2Fdog2.gif&hash=ae9df831d5ae951bc058366329ebf7c22db32062)
I made it. 556 miles. I am so tired! I was a lot younger 5 years ago when I drove this...maybe 6-7 years ago. And then we went to Springfield the first night. I was on the road 10.5 hours! My eyes feel like I have little suction cups on them with a string tied to each and someone is pulling the strings.
I have a real nice room. The ice, the breakfast area, the pool and my car are all within a few feet from my room. And the room has two doors...one outside to the car and the other to the other areas.
Tomorrow I will go to Precious Moments. If I don't over sleep! SIN NO MORE SIN NO MORE SIN NO MORE SIN NO MORE

My goodness, Etta Sue! 556 miles! 10.5 hours driving! You're sure a lot younger than I am! :D
I just had the most wonderful visit. I got a phone call from my son in New Jersey about 7:00 asking if I felt up to having company. He said his son was in the area and wanted to come see me and would that be OK? Of course no grandmother would ever turn that down! So I had a lovely visit with #1 grandson, Terry, (27 years old) and his girlfriend, Kimberlie. They just left a few minutes ago to go back to New Jersey.
:) Hi to all. I want to thank all of you for your prayers for my time in Scotland as I can say that your prayers were answered for getting my mother into a seniors nursing home care. The Lord is so good as it only happened two days before I came back to Canada and I am so grateful to you all for praying.
I also was able to go to Northern Ireland and when I was there I went and visited with Colin Moffat and his wife and he sent his regards to all of you, I told him that we all miss him on this site and to get back on but he has had some problem with one of the systems that he uses but I must tell you that he has the most beautiful gardens and has them in tip top shape he lives way out in the country and it was so nice to be able to meet them and to spend time with them .
I have taken time to look over the postings but am to tired to comment on them so I will sign off for now. May the Lord richly bless you all and give you all a great week.
Larry: Sorry to here that you have not been so good but just keep looking after yourself and take those afternoon napts. :)
Yes, I know it's the middle of the night -- any wonder why sometimes I don't "do mornings?"
But, tomor ummm, THIS morning, my son wants me to go with him on some errands. We don't have opportunity to get together often, so that will be a blessing.
Z, so sorry for that bad incident. I, too will be praying for a change in attitude and softening of their hearts - for others - as well as becoming sensitive to our Lord's invitation to be Lord of their lives.
G'morning, friends! :)
Ruth Ann
I am on Droid since I can't seem to get online with the laptop.
Will leave in a few for Precious Moments.
Back online but already posted. Off to Precious Moments!! I know it is going to be a wonderful day!!!
God Bless You All!!
WELCOME HOME, GORD!
I don't own a word processer, and seldom have a problem when posting. I went back to say something else to Carol, and hit a wrong key or something. Seniors and Friends popped up, my post disappeared. This machine has auto save on all the time. Well, such is life, I guess.
Darrel and I went to an auction Saturday. A music studio/gift store had closed, then they sold the building, and so had to get their stuff out of it. I called daughter Diane and asked if there was anything she wanted; she gave me a list, and I was able to get quite a few things for her store at great prices. I got all of the gift wrapping paper, the bow maker and all the ribbon that went with it, and some merchandise, too. Also got a few Christmas gifts, so I have made an official start--even before Etta Sue tells me how many more days it is until Christmas! ;) :)
Etta Sue, you are by yourself on this trip? I have always wanted to see the Precious Moments Chapel. Maybe someday. Have a great time!
Colin, thanks for the link to your poems. Hope you will come back here and post, we miss you. How nice that Gord could visit you.
Today I need to go help set up the clubhouse I painted the other day, then tonight is the reading to the kids, which I will also help do. Should be fun.
Next week I have a 5 days painting class!! Yea! :cheer: :excited: You may remember I missed my summer class because Darrel was sick. So I'm looking forward to this one, for sure!
Going to the home and reading to Mom and Beth is also on my agenda for today.
I wish you all God's blessings today!
Hi everyone. We have a most glorious day, clear and cool this morning, and only to be in the low 70s later today. The yard men were just hear so the yard looks well maintained again, although it hadn't grown much. We did have great rain yesterday, which was needed.
After coffee this morning we went to walk and it really bothered me and has left me feeling not up to par, although nothing like last week. Rest should take care of the problem. I only walked 1/2 mile in two groups of 5 rounds with rest in between but had to take a nitro at the half-way point.
We received very sad news yesterday afternoon. Our son called to tell us his mother-in-law had died very suddenly yesterday afternoon. His wife and her mother had been talking and the mother indicated she needed to go to the bathroom. When she didn't return in a reasonable time our daughter-in-law went to check on her and found her either dead or unconscious. They called 911 but when she got to the hospital she was pronounced dead. We will be attending services for her. We had not seen her for several years.
Janet, it sounds like you got some really good bargains. If you lose a posting try the back button on the browser as often the cache in the computer will retain that page until the browser window is closed. It may not work but is worth a try and it has worked for me. Glad you are going to be able to attend your painting class.
Etta Sue, it is nice to have the fall-back with the Droid although that isn't a particularly fun way to prepare a posting. I have done that a few times with my iPod Touch and it is slow going compared to typing on a regular keyboard. Guess that would be one way to keep my postings shorter.
Ruth Ann, hope you will have a great day with your son. Time with our grown children is certainly a premium.
Gord, certainly glad to read you were able to attend the the details of getting your mother into a care facility. It removes a major strain on family members to know there is someone available who knows what to do and to provide the needed care. Nice that you were able to visit with Colin and his wife. I figured he had beautiful gardens from what he has written in the past.
Jeanne, visits with grandchildren are also wonderful gifts that it seems some of us don't receive very often.
It is time for me to leave to take care of something. Hope everyone has a great day.
Amazing morning here - great to see Gord back and learn about Colin and his garden. Colin's pictures are treasures. Janet: what did you want to tell me? Etta Sue: are you buying those PM's for self or gifts?
The contractor says he will come today and the red dumpster in front for two weeks will go which will make a few of the neighbors happy. Actually, a few of them will never be happy.
Quilting group tonight. I am hand quilting a panel that has all kinds of snowmen on it and it will be a wall hanging. This is my first attempt at hand quilting. Stand way back when you look at it, please.
Don is out for his walk now as we have to take turns waiting on other people. His achilles tendon was hurting this morning - something new. Yesterday, I walked into our bedroom & bath area & almost cried out - " I want my life back". This bathroom renovation was promised to be finished a long time ago.
Larry: I am glad that you carry your nitro to help ease the pain immediately. At least the weather should be beginning to cool a bit for your comfort.
Jeanne: Surprise visits from the children or grands is lovely and means so much.
Pat Are you there? Our neighbors are on a trip to see the fall colors back east. How is it where your house is located? Is Paul having some improvement on his leg pain?
Hello and prayers for all
I have spent the last few days going through my closet and the pile for pick up is getting bigger every day. Now I need to check in some of my dresser drawers for sweaters etc. some will hit the garbage while others will be added to the pile.
Mel has also said that he needs to do the same.
I had thought that my Serger was not working as it should so I went to a store that sells sergers and sewing machines to have mine checked and possibly sent out for repair - good news all my needed was some settings changed. While there I checked with another gal about how she would do an alteration, hers was the better idea than mine.
Upon leaving there I went to a shoe warehouse and purchased 2 pr. of shoes one for ten dollars and the other 5 dollars, I consider myself fortunate as I wear the larger size (seems like the box) and these shoes were name brand. I then phoned my daughter at work to see if coffee was in order because she works just around the corner. I got one for her boss, her and myself. After my short visit with her and her boss I then headed home , you see you visit your daughter and then it is mom will you take this parcel to Jennifer on your way. Who does not do anything for their kids.
The time has arrived for me to shut down and watch Dancing with the Stars.
Hi, friends, I'm here for just a moment. The time with my son fizzled out - his headache wouldn't let him go. So, now, it's time for me to sleep for 2 nights this time. ;)
G'nite, and God bless!
Ruth Ann
Hi everyone. Another beautiful day in Georgia. Pat just left for the Bible study with the pastor but I decided to stay home this morning as am having continued chest pain. Think I will go back to bed for awhile. I need to get to feeling better as tomorrow we have the long drive and funeral to attend for our D-I-L's mother. We have offered to stay at the house during the funeral as that is a prime time for break-ins since the funeral is announced in the papers. We haven't heard back from our son on whether they want us to do that or not. We also decided not to brink our daughter out today and then take her back to her apartment in the morning as that would add another 80 miles or so to the driving we have to do tomorrow.
Ruth Ann, sorry that your son wasn't up to being with you. Those headaches are terrible. I can understand from his perspective as I used to suffer terrible migraine headaches and I just wanted to be in a dark room with my eyes shut.
Ruth, sounds like you are a good shopper.
Carol, I can image how frustrated you both are with the snail pace completion of your remodeling project. Hopefully it will be worth all the hassle when it is completed. Good luck with your hand quilted project.
(https://www.christianphotographers.com/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi195.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fz77%2FEttaSue%2FCP%2FAnis%2FBlackwhitedog.gif&hash=3840fa4224c6208cc436d75c27dbd5e8c686fceb)
I am still in Carthage. Will head east when the sun gets higher and won't be in my eyes.
Precious Moments was a tad disappointment. The economy is hitting it hard. Only three areas were open. Just glad I have been there 3-4 times before and have seen the Wedding Island, Sam Butcher's Home (museum), Tiffany's Restaurant and heard Larry Turner sing (now at Branson). The chapel is still beautiful and even some more paintings. I bought myself a hooded sweatshirt, Kitty a music box figurine and an old painting that was recently found and allowed to sell. Also bought a book on PM.
I was so tired after all that walking that I came back to the room and read for awhile, then napped. Then finished the book and watched TV. I slept probably a dozen hours yesterday. Like Mom used to say, if you didn't need it, you couldn't do it!
Off to Vandalia....xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo

Hello
This was our :coffee: day at Tim Horton's a small group but some have been away for the summer and were there, lovely to see them, another of the group will be away for several weeks as he fell and broke his leg or knee not sure which between 2 pins from a previous injury a short while ago poor man.
I have to make a couple of phone calls so that will use up a bit of time then on to finding something else to do.
Larry: The purchases of yesterday were at a shoe warehouse end of line or left overs from previous stores, they do get re-stocked with quality items and what you do is just keep checking and in my case it is for the right shoe size as that is a problem in any shoe store.
Larry: Our contractor is here today and will be working tomorrow as well. Yea! Nice to have him letting us know the agenda. Sorry to read that you have chest pain and I do hope that rest will alleviate that problem.
Ruth: I had a serger but gave it to a gal who made blankets and other things to send overseas. All I can say about a serger is that it can mess up fabric really quickly if a person isn't using it correctly (me).
:) Hi to all . It is late and as usual I never seem to go to sleep very early. So far had a busy week and we are getting very excited as our 3rd. granchild is about to be born and it is a boy so I have done a small bit of painting in the nursery and also helped my son-in-law to do some moving things around so it seems that it never stops.
Larry just do what you know is best for that body of yours as we want you around and don't overdo it will be praying for you.
Pat. I was away and did not read what happened to Paul I hope that he is o.k. will also remember him. Please say hi to him.
Well must go to bed may the Lord be with all others on C.P. and have wonderful weekend. Gord. :cp:
Good Morning or afternoon depending on where you live. Sorry that I haven't been posting much, I have been here to read several times per day I just didn't have anything to say.
I am trying to get everything ready for when come home after surgery when I can only use one hand. There are some things that I will need help doing but that won't be much of a problem if Keith is home. If he is at work then there might be a problem.
Anyway that is what have been doing.
Gord: Nice seeing you back!
Marilyn: Good idea to get things ready but it sounds like it could be daunting for you at times. Even using a can opener and all the little things we take for granted. If you can cook and freeze portions of food for you to just microwave, that might be a saver.
The contractor came at 2 PM today.
All of our neighbors want a look at the bathroom when it is finished & the entire women's bible group wants to see it as well - so I think I will have two open houses or open bathrooms when this is finished. ;)
Don is taking me out for a Thai dinner tonight to celebrate yesterday's anniversary.
Carol Mmm Thai food I love Thai food. Good idea about cooking and freezing food. However Keith is a good cook and I can always supervise him in baking his cakes, For now I'm just gonna play it by ear and go with the flow.
I was sent this lick by a friend, I hope you enjoy this song by the Oakridge boys.
http://silverandgoldandthee.net/V/Lil.html (http://silverandgoldandthee.net/V/Lil.html)
Carol, if I remember correctly, I was just going to say that we were posting at the same time. Nothing important.
I cannot figure out why I am feeling so lethargic lately. I've been exercising, which I expected would help, but still feeling draggy. I swam just two laps short of a mile this morning! Would have finished it, but my legs were cramping and I had to stop, and anyway, the time was up. They only allow the seniors one hour.
Larry, hope you are feeling better.
Marilyn, your hand will heal quickly (spoken in faith.) Anything you can't manage to do can just wait!
I must get my stuff in order for my class next week, not finding anything I am excited to paint......strange. I usually have too many projects in mind.
Carol, I hope those guys STAY on the job until they finish it now. Sure not fun having them drag it on and on. :(
Pat, how are you? And how is Paul?
(https://www.christianphotographers.com/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi195.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fz77%2FEttaSue%2FCP%2FAnis%2FDancingBear.gif&hash=5390dcb8267c553c3bb6c9c9c4b05e89a0df8c5a)
I spent last night in Vandalia, Illinois. I couldn't get the wireless internet to work and, of course, the office said no one else has had problems. So no internet.
I waited until the sun was up a bit and headed home, getting home around 2:30pm today.
I have said ever since I got my new glasses in March or April that the right lens isn't right. I do believe it now. Seem worse with far off distances. I close my right eye and everything is crisp and clear. I close my left eye and everything is out of focus! So I am getting a re-exam tomorrow at 10am. Even if I have to pay for it, I can't keep seeing like this.
Kitty and I went to Pizza King since I didn't feel like finding something to eat here at home. Ivalou is gone to Ohio to visit family and may be back Sunday.
I have my third load of laundry in the dryer. I have scanned some things from Beef and Boards to give to the other three women. I scanned some wedding photos that the people were married at Clarksville Christian Church. Next is to put my photos on the laptop and fix them. Hope I have some good ones for Guild!
I had a bunch of emails today on Droid but I deleted them. Now they won't come in on the laptop! Wished I had read them on Droid!

Hi everyone. I called the Kaiser advice nurse this morning
and she insisted I call 911. So I went to the er by ambulance
And later was transferred to our local larger medical center,
Where I am spending the night and likely will have another
Heart cath. Pat had already left for the funeral for d-I-l in
Augusta. She was here at the hospital this evening.
Larry, good that you called the Kaiser nurse and followed instructions. Thanks for letting us know and please make arrangements to keep us informed about your progress. Of course, you are in my prayers.

Aw, Larry! I am sad to hear that you are in the hospital. Well, sad to hear that you need to be in the hospital. There is no other better place to be if it is needed. I am praying that they find out what is wrong, get 'er done, and you are home and drinking coffee with your buddies soon!
I slept really good in my own bed last night! I am all ready to head to Noblesville and get my eyes re-examined. Then probably to Bob Evans since I have a gift certificate for there. Then home!
I took 95 pictures at Precious Moments so I need to get them processed and see if there are any good ones to show at Guild. ?º°`°º?ø,¸¸,ø?º°`°º?ø?º°`°º?ø,¸¸,ø?º°`°º?ø?º°`°º?ø,¸¸,ø?º°`°º?ø?º°`

WELCOME HOME, ETTA SUE!! Glad you had a good time, sorry you were a bit disappointed.
Larry, I'm praying for you. Please do keep us posted as much as you can. I know Pat was sad to leave you there while she attends the funeral of d-i-l. I'm praying for wisdom for each doctor and nurse who has anything to do with your care, for strength and peace for you and for Pat and your daughter and son, as well. Love you, brother!
I had another of those almost sleepless nights, and am really tired and sleepy today. It should get better as the day goes on.
I have an appointment with my chiropractor in a few minutes, so I'm outa here!
Hi everyone.
This is the story of revolving hospitals.
I will be transported to the third hospital
at noon and sometime this afternoon they
Will do another cath and fix what they may find.
Am pretty sure I will be in that hospital overnight.
That is all I know at the moment.
Etta Sue, hope you get a better prescription for
Glasses. Do I detect an ulterior motive by going to Bob
Evans? . Pat and I have always had good meals
At their places.
Larry: You are being bounced around at these hospitals and I hope and pray that you will get the best treatment and all will be well very soon. looking forward to your posting tomorrow - rest well. Sorry about Pat having to go to a funeral.
Marilyn: Love the Oakridge Boys - what a tremendous song. Makes me teary eyed.
Janet: Things are coming along really well today. I think I can begin cleaning up dust by this afternoon. I hope you think of something to paint - I know you will.
Larry I am sorry to hear about you being transported from hospital to hospital. But glad that you are where you can get what you need. I am praying for you.
:) Good afternoon to all. I hope that you are all doing well we are having a very nice clear day up in the Niagara region in Canada and it is not to cold so that is very nice. I start our practice for our barber shop type choir this Sunday and it is always so much fun and we can have as many as 90 plus men there.
Marilyn: Thanks for the song that you put on it was a very touching one and that is one of the best sounds that I have heard from them as I never liked them as a group but over the years they do grow on you. What are you having done to your hand ? If it is corpal tunnel op. it is not too bad as I had it done not so long ago and it is about completely healed.
Larry: Praying for you and hope that you are listening to the doctors and staff and I no that is hard but that is why God put them there God bless you and Pat. :coffee:
To all others on C.P. have a blessed and God filled weekend. GORDON. :)
Gord I am have a Basal Thumb Joint replacement surgery on my left hand.
Larry;
Praying for you.
Carol; All my serger needed was to have the settings changed. I felt good about that.
I have 2 funeral visitations this weekend one was sudden and the other was a long term illness and both folk were 80 to 90 yrs young.
Dinner is almost ready Shepherds Pie

Well, at least I got my palette ready! For this class, we have to mix 49 colors, have them in a certain order on our palettes. This makes painting so much easier, and the full-color palette allows you to paint anything except some man-made things such as fabrics. But I'm still not sure what I will paint. I have some things to finish up, so am sure I will find something new to paint, too.
Larry, you are playing musical hospitals. I will believe with you that the one you are in is the very best equipped and has the best personnel for your needs. God bless, and thanks for keeping us informed. When will Pat be home?
Beth was waiting in the waiting room of the chiropractor's office as I was leaving this morning. She was really sleepy, and said she was sleeping so soundly yesterday when John called that she didn't even get to talk to him.
I want to watch Hal Lindsey here in a few minutes. Tomorrow is Fall Fest here in our fair town, with lots of activities, sidewalk sales, etc, so I will go see what's happening for a while, at least.
Good morning! I see Larry is "on" - how are you this morning?
I just placed an ad on Craigslist for that washer & dryer we are trying to sell - reduced the price. I really hope we don't have to deal with the people who contacted me last time.
Into the 40's this morning and that is right where it should be - we have had too many high temps and no snow or rain - really need moisture. Fire danger is at the top rate.
The shower is being promised to be finished on Monday - well, I will believe it when I see it. People walking their dogs have jackets on this morning. We have windows open, of course & the house cooled nicely.
Janet: Is Beth sleeping more because of medication or is she just plain tuckered? Blessings for her.
Hi everyone,
I am still in the hospital but should be released later today. Am having a little problem with my blood pressure being too low. During the night the lower number got down to 35. The nurse thought it was due to dehydration so started forcing fluids and it went. It is still too low to be dismissed. The nurse just told me to start walking, which I have done.
I got good news and bad news yesterday. The good news is that the stent is open. The bad news is that their isn't anything left to do that will help my heart. Apparently the heart is continuing to weaken and the pain and shortness of breath is probably attributable to that. I will just have to live with it and adjust my activities as needed. I know God is in control so will not worry about the situation.

Larry ~ Glad you are coming home today but sorry that they couldn't improve your health. Re-adjust. Slow down. Listen to your warnings and you will do fine.
It's raining! Well, it has been raining. The deck and drive ways is wet. It's not a down pour but rain. Maybe enough to clean the dust off of everything!
I am getting a new lens. He said the prescription was right and it was done right but he gave me a lower prescription..thinking the stronger would be too strong for me to adjust to. But I need that stronger RX. Nothing was said about cost so maybe it will be FREE!
As for Bob Evans...my gift certificate was for my birthday. So figured I might as well use it. And all their meals are great!
I started processing my photos from Precious Moments yesterday but got sleepy. Hopefully I will finish today. So far they look pretty good! »ïÏï«,¸¸,»ïÏï«,¸¸,»ïÏï«,¸¸,»ïÏï«,¸¸,»ïÏï«,¸¸,»ïÏïS«,¸¸,»ïÏï«,¸¸,»ïÏï«,¸¸,»ïÏï«

:) :coffee: Hi to all. LARRY: I am sorry to hear the news that you have recived about your hart but as you have said that the ;ord is in control and through our prayers and you doing what you should God will look after you.
Nita: :hb3: :hb2: HAPPY BIRTHDAY TOO YOU.
TO ALL HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND. GORD. :coffee:
AND MORE HAPPY BIRTHDAY WISHES TO YOU, NITA, FROM JANET!!
Nita: Happy Birthday
I had something ready a long time ago and the puter froze for some stubborn reason.
Larry: Thanks for sharing your medical report, you are such a strong and wonderful man and I will be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.
Janet: Do you teach painting as well as take lessons? Painting is not my thing as I do not relax enough for smooth flowing lines. I would be much better in my day to day life if I could relax more.
I really enjoy reading all of the news you have. It's a reality check for me! And Judy B, when I know I need to smile, I pull up something from you so that I can see the bright smile you have. It's a reminder that smiling always makes the day go better.
I am still working--more than 40 hours a week. I should be very glad to have a good job. But, I long to be retired so that I can do some of the activities I want to do. I'll probably be begging to be back at work once I do retire, but right now I am just weary of the fast pace here in the Dallas area and the me-me-me approach people have. I feel guilty that I feel that way, but a little kindness instead of thinking only of their world around them would go a long way. That is why I like visiting this board. This community really looks out for each other and I enjoy reading the kindnesses. It gives me resolve to try to generate little kindnesses around regardless what I perceive from others. I never really know what others are facing. Dallas is bad that way. All the people are scurrying around and all are really kind of lonely because they do not connect with each other. If they could read this board, they would receive a sense of peace.
It was very hot this summer here and most people who plant flowers have already lost them. I watered everyday before I went to work during the worst of the hot days and it is amazing but the flowers in the front yard have taken a second spurt. It is cool enough over night that the colors of the zinnias are more intense, a rust orange and a dark pink. The hibiscus are still blooming a wonderful yellow color and a gorgeous red/pink color. I am going to transplant them into pots and see if I can keep them alive indoors over the winter but right now they are too pretty to move. The flowers are all over-grown from their beds onto the lawn, but we cannot bear to trim them back. We trip over the marigolds walking down the sidewalk from our front door to the cars. We have mostly orange blooms but there is one yellow one that is bravely sticking farther out than the rest demanding to be noticed. I inspect them everyday before driving off to work. Mr. Barbarian looks at them before going into the house when he returns home from school each late afternoon. Just to look at the bright colors lifts our spirits.
It's so nice to hear of the issues everyone discusses here. I can identify with everyone's concerns and I hope all your problems resolve. I also can identify with your happy events. We love it when our grown children call and tell us what happened to them but that's for another time because I tend to get too prideful when I talk about our children. And, my daughter just reminded me that she has a soccer game early tomorrow morning so we cannot sleep late.

I am all ready for church...ready to go out the door.
I did get my 85 photos processed that I took at Precious Moments. I got the GPS that I bought back to factory default so ready to return it today. Kitty and I went to Best Buy and to Chili's for chips and salsa. And I got a few TV shows watched. Now only behind 8 hours.
I am hoping that Ivalou comes home today. I miss her. It's been a week since I have seen her and that's too long!
It's cold and cloudy today. Only 39 degrees. :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

I am going to try to post. If my puter lets me. Mine is done, it is totally in control of my work. I can read the pasts but haven't been able to post, I will try again today.
Mrs Barbarian thank you for your comments. Often a smile will get you through when nothing else will.
Kassie has a dose of the flu, she is on the mend though. Doctors orders were hot baths, Tylenol, and bed. She has done as she was told and today is feeling better. John had a big job to do, all the plumbing under the kitchen sink had let go. The leaking was terrible. It is now fixed. Thank you Lord for a husband that knows how to fix these things.
The trees are at there peek in colour. I expect the leaves will be down with the next good wind storm. I have a couple of pictures, I will post them when I get my next puter....hopefully in about a week.
Have a good Lord's day, may He richly bless you.
Good morning, it is so overcast here this morning, supposed to rain sometime today.
I think I am all prepared for my surgery on Thursday, I got out the extra pillows and will refresh them in the dryer with dryer sheets tomorrow and finish up what laundry there is since I did laundry a few days ago. We are going grocery shopping later today so we will have plenty of food for Keith to prepare too.
God is in control and will be there in the surgery suite with me, guiding the doctors hands and watching the anesthesiologist to make sure that I am alright. Nothing to worry about here.
Larry: It is good that your procedure is over and it went well. I hope that you can find easy adjustments to your lifestyle that still keeps you close to your friends here and those who live close to you. Here, we have a Dial-a-Ride bus that can be at your door with door & it is only one dollar. (Right now, we have to get together in our neighborhood and call to approve keeping this wonderful service.) Just know that we love you and keep you in our prayers.
Marilyn: Can you have ready and easy to control some books on tape or CD"s? They might help when you are feeling drowsy or need to feel relaxed and drowsy.
Mrs. Barbarian: Hello, it is nice to see you in here. Yes, that Dallas culture can be interesting (we were transferred and lived in Plano for nine years). You can always chat about your grown children to me - I love to hear about all the family. Our daughter is coming for a visit this afternoon & we so look forward to her stories. SIL has been out of work for ten months - now is interviewing (it is tougher than tough out there).
Oops, our microwave just stopped working. And, we are having real problems with our hot water heater. Yikes, these things are not old - the micro is only two years old.
JudyB: Sorry about the flu in your house and I hope Kassie is on the mend. Take care, you don't need that now. Oh, wonderful that John can fix the plumbing.
Happy Sunday afternoon to all of you! I had all of about three hours' sleep last night, so frustrating.
I started this laptop defragging at 5:45 AM and it isn't done yet! :o My deskitop never took that long!
It is amazing how the Lord works sometimes. At church, there is so much more freedom in worship and more of the presence of the Holy Spirit already than there ever was with the pastor there. I know God has good plans for our little church.
Larry, glad you are home and know you will be taking care of YOU for all of us.
Judy, glad you were able to post, and that John got the plumbing fixed. Plumbing problems are always so nasty and frustrating; and cause so much damage if undetected in time.
Mrs. Barbarian, thank you for the kind words. We are like a family here, and really do care about each other. And feel free to "brag" on your kids all you want! We are all partial to our own! ;) But happy to hear good reports from other families as well.
Ruth Ann, did you have a nice birthday? Hugs to you!
Carol, hope you get the appliances to going without having repair or replacement bills! They certainly should last longer than that!
I am leaving this afternoon for my painting class, so will see you all next weekend.
Ruth, I am a student in this class. I have taught for years until about two years ago, and sort of ran out of students. The young people are nearly all working, and my faithful ladies got so old they don't drive any more, or moved away, went to the care home, etc. So I paint whenever I want and continue to take classes when I have the opportunity. I find painting to be the very best therapy of anything, as you cannot worry about anything while you are concentrating on painting. Of course, I know it isn't that way for everyone. Maybe you bake, sew, read, garden, etc. as your way to relax. God bless!
Oops! I see it is my turn to post the new Thoughts! So if you would, kindly click here! (http://www.christianphotographers.com/community/index.php?topic=10901.0/url)
