Morning Devotional...
Morning Devotional...
Scripture: Acts 20:32
"And now I entrust you to God and the message of his grace that is able to build you up and give you an inheritance with all those he has set apart for himself." NLT
The story is told of a young girl who left work early so she could have some uninterrupted study time right before a final exam in religion class. She studied all night. When she arrived at class in the morning everybody was cramming as much last minute info as their minds could handle. The teacher walked in and said, "Let's do a quick review before the test."
They followed him through the review that was laid out on the study guide. As he covered item by item he finally jumped to issues the young girl had never heard covered in class. Several hands went up, "We never had that information before." The teacher picked up the text book and held it in his left hand and said, "Everything is in the book and you are clearly responsible for everything in the book." Who could argue with that!
Finally, it was time to take the test. The assistants passed out the test and the professor said, "Leave your test face down on the desk until everyone has one. I'll tell you when to turn your paper over and start." Two minutes later the class heard, "OK, you may start."
When the young girl turned her test over, every answer was filled in! A note at the bottom of the last page said: "Your Final Exam is now over. All your answers are correct. You are blessed with an 'A' on the final exam."
Every student read the same thing and looked up at the professor in utter astonishment!
When the professor was sure all eyes were on him he said, "You passed the test for one reason only, because the creator of the test took the test for you. All your study time, class time and hard work in preparation for this exam did not help you get the "A". You have just experienced --- GRACE."
Prayer: Father thank you for the grace you provide for me every day. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen!
Hi everyone. Keith has just left to return to Oregon, We went to Savannah's Volleyball game on Friday late afternoon. On Saturday we shopped, waked the dogs, cooked, ate. watched TV and just visited. This morning we went down the street to pick more Blackberries for him to take home. Now I have to leave to got work and that the lady and her dogs for a walk. Her daughter called a little bit ago and asked if I would do that today.
What a beautiful day today, with good friends and great service at church. Oh, how blessed I feel. Y'all have a great day.
Janet, that devotional on Grace was truly inspiring.
Much love to all.
Squeek and Gramie in living color, Marilyn! I followed your instructions and we passed....from both e-mails you sent. Much thanks.
Last night was pretty upsetting. Sophie, a six yr. old bunnie, raised from birth by Amanda, decided she couldn't make it thro' another winter. She simply curled up in her litter box and waited to die. We brought her inside and finally took her upstairs to Amanda's room. Amanda & Wendy stayed with her for hours, finally Wendy came down and said Sophie was having convulsions. I was afraid that would happen and knew it would scare them. Went upstairs, she had died. I got old towels, a box, and today Ralph is burying her near her hutch. Wendy loved that bunnie more even than Amanda did and it was just another stress for her to absorb. Every week it seems to be something. Amanda can't work at her job for another three weeks because of hurting her shoulder, no ins. at her job. Sometimes I feel like we are waging a silent war with unseen enemies.
Regarding 'The Shack'. I have also read different opinions on the subject. Can only wonder how a 'gift' has sold 1 million + copies, but know from personal experience that God can use many different ways to teach about Jesus. I went to church in the early '70's due to seeing the much maligned 'Jesus Christ Superstar'. Felt such a longing, due to the music, it lead to salvation for both Wendy and me.
Understand the rather dynamic Ted Nugent is a Christian now....tho' doubt we agree on much.
Books can be tricky. I have one that looked promising...'The Prayer Chest', by Joel Fotinos. It is fiction. Have not read all of it yet. Nice little story. Looked up the author and he is a minister in A non-religious church that blends Western teachings with Eastern Philosophies. Now, how can a church be non-religious? The book description reads: A novel about receiving all of life's riches. I personally only want mine from God. Earth is a surly place now, lost in shadows, totally foolish and becoming more mean by the day. It is my hope that God will come and transform the place and people.
I am also reading 'Dead Heat' by Joel C. Rosenberg. He is an evangelical Christian from an Orthodox Jewish heritage. His books compare Apocalyptic Scripture in the Bible, to modern events.
This is a quote from the site:
Joel Rosenberg has also written a few novels that are thrillers about the Middle East. Several of the plotlines he has written in his books have come true, to some degree (such as terrorists flying planes into an American city, the death of Yasser Arafat). This has helped make his books a best sellers. In Epicenter, he explains that he is not a prophet (some have called him a modern day Nostradamus!), but his novels make logical speculations based on Biblical prophecy.
Epicenter is non-fiction, and makes 10 predictions of future headlines based on his understanding of Biblical prophecy, which follows a pre-trib, pre-mill, dispensational grid.
I have not read 'Epicenter' and intend to get all of his books. They are not 'heavy' reading. Written in an easy style and totally fascinating...not to mention scary. In the author's note in this book, he states that of the one thousand or so prophecies in the Bible, more than five hundred have already come true.
I recommend that anyone interested in Prophecy, Google his name and check out his work.
Got carried away there! Anyone still reading? :-\
I loved the devotional and if Janet were still around, would say thanks.
Pleasant Day/Evening and God Bless.
Liz
HI, Liz! I'm still here, until tomorrow morning. I just had to get finished packing, do some things around the house, etc. I do not like coming home to a messy house, and will have enough laundry from the trip, so didn't want to leave any behind.
Sorry about the bunny. We do get attached to our pets. The vet told them at the care home that six years is the average life of a rabbit, so Amanda's made it that long; but still, we don't like to let them go. Darrel is missing Sarah so bad already! We had to call Abby today to make sure Sarah is doing all right, and of course, she is. Their dog, Maggie, died a couple weeks ago, she was 12 years old. Just went into her doghouse and died.
Prayers for safety and God's protection for us on this trip will be appreciated. I pray Pat has already or will make it home safely, as well.
God watch between you and us while we are absent one from another! <3
Sorta awake - I don't know what got me up much too early this morning. A full weekend. Grandson's hockey team won every game of the tournament - I went to two of the games and watched him make an exciting & smart goal. It was so quick & instantly after shot that didn't make it. Most of all, I had a full day with granddaughter and she has to be the easiest youngster to please, ever.
there is a slight cooling this week. Now I can dig out the sweaters. Totally sick of political ads and especially so since so much money is coming in from other states to change the votes here. We are bombarded!
Morning y'all!!! <3 <3 <3
Good Morning to one and all.
Liz Glad I could be of help, Did I send you two emails of the same thing? Hmm I didn't know that.
I will be moving to Oregon after the first of the year, maybe Feb or March.
I was wondering whether melody has been impacted by the hurricane.
Hi everyone.
Another beautiful day and I will be having lunch with a number of men friends. We meet at 1 pm rather than earlier and the crowds are gone, the place is quieter and they don't rush us.
The Dish Installer just left. He was here yesterday afternoon and put in the Dish antenna and set up one of the receivers/recorder that serve two TVs. However, he didn't have the unit we needed for the kitchen go he couldn't finish up until this morning. Now we have to learn the new numbers of the channels and how to use the recorder, which is something we have never had before. We can record up to 100 hours of programs and watch what we record on two different sets. Now I have to call this morning and cancel my other service.
Liz, sorry to read about Amada losing her rabbit but we know these times will come when we have pets. I understand that doesn't make the loss any less of a burden.
Marilyn, it sounds like you will be busy in the months ahead.
Good morning Samantha, Ruth Ann and Al.
Carol, I agree with you on the political ads. Fortunately Obama has pulled his advertising from Georgia as he has basically conceded he will not carry this state. We plan on going to vote early, probably this week. I sure don't want to stand in the long lines on election day. It sounds like you all had a fun weekend, if a busy one.
Janet, thanks for the devotional. Have a great trip.
Good day to all.
Al Thanks for enquiring about the hurricane. Parts of our island is suppose to be effected today and tomorrow by this hurricane.
Has far has I know it will not reach where I live. I will update here if it changes. :)

I was incorrect. Ivalou didn't finish 'The Shack' until this morning. She thought it was a great story...a feel good story....even though it was about a child being abducted and murdered. I still recommend it to any and all.
I went to Lapel this morning for money, gas and some items at Dollar General. Ivalou brought the book back while I was eating lunch. She wants to see the movie, 'The Women' this afternoon. I had my bedroom windows opened and the wind blew over my floor mirror and broke it. I told her I had planned to clean my bedroom real good and even if I don't do that, I have to run the sweeper. Well, I got the bedroom cleaned, furniture moved for winter and all. So now I need to clean myself up and go to the movies.
Looks like rain any minute.....xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo

Beautiful sunny day today. I was out all morning and now plan to go outside and sit reading a book for a time...
No Marilyn, you sent two e-mails. One with instructions for posting the picture. One with a 'test' to pass. Thus my comment on passing both tests! Feeble attempt at a joke.
Trying to do my bit about posting. Not a whole lot of folks out and about. Enjoyed your post Summicron. It is always interesting to learn about what goes on in another country.
Do wish you folks in the States would hurry and get over those darn elections. Things are getting a tad surly. ::)
Pleasant Day/Evening and God Bless.
Liz
Hi, all. I, too, will be glad when the elections are over. AND.......if it's to be..........this Wall Street financial fiasco resolved without the little guy having to do most of the paying.
The window guys are here today. Maycie, the dogs, and I are holed up in the computer room. She has a cold so I have the steamer in here for her. She isn't feeling well at all, and I hate that we can't go out and rock, but the smell of chemicals is strong. And the saws are loud. It's best we just stay in here I think. The kitchen windows are mostly done, and the rest of the house is just no windows. Good thing it's warm today. I'll be glad when it's all over but the outside painting. Windows should be done by tomorrow.....I hope. Nita
Hi Everyone It is so overcast today, no sun at all. It is supposed to start raining Thursday for a few days, we sure do need.
I too wish the elections would hurry up and be over. This bailout thing is all that is on the news anymore.I am tired of hearing about it.
Not much going on around here, took the dogs for their walks and haven't done anything else but sit at the computer or flip through the TV channels looking for something to watch. Took a short nap though.
Hi Nita, Jane come out of your corner and say something.
I'll drop a quick "Hello" to everyone here.
Up here in MN its pretty overcast...looks like it could rain tonight or tomorrow...but then again...I could be wrong. I'm no weatherman.
Most of my day has been eaten up by homework.
Highlight of today for me was joining this awesome community of Christian Photographers!
oops! gotta run! Dinner time!
Hi JL, and WELCOME. Where are attending classes? What major?
Thanks for the welcome!
I'm currently attending Hennepin Technical College[\url] for a Diploma in Carpentry. I also completed an AAS degree in Architectural Drafting and Design at Hennepin Tech. (http://www.hennepintech.edu)
Sounds like you'll be fantastic at building stuff. I have a BA from San Jose State and an MDiv from Westminster Theo. Seminary.

Something! :D
:) Hi to all. I know its late but better late than never. I gone through many of the post's and of course very interesting. Noreen and I have some good news regarding her back problems. Last Saturday we met the Member of Parliament who's Leasianne Secratary has been trying to help us get the out of country expenses paid for by our Ontario Hospital Ins. Plan so that she could have surgery in the U.S.A. We told him what is going on and the trouble that we were having and that my wife had been denied and we had appealed it. e told us if it is denied again to get in touch with him and he will bring it up in the government meeting in our capital Ottawa. So you all can continue to pray that this will continue to go the right way.
Jeannine : Thank you for the beautiful poem and will remember many of the things that you told us about Michael. Praise the Lord for his life.
Larry: Good to here that both your kids seem to be getting better thanks for the updates.
Pat: Hope that you are home safely.
Jonathanlu: Welcome to C.P. and keep on studying hard as you will never regret it. God bless.
To all others that I have not mentioned by name may the Lord bless you all this week and give you strength to be a witness for him. Gord and Noreen. :coffee:
Thank you Jane knew exactly what you would say.
Er....I have BO and a MidiDV....are they any good these qualifactions :clobber:
www.poetrypoem.com/irishchristianpoets This is my new website which is just in its infancy. I am setting it up for myself and other Irish Christian Poets. So far I have got four to join me and their poems will be following shortly. In the meantime there are poems of mine up, also videos and music so call in when you have time for a bit of fellowship and craic!
Take care everyone. God bless
Good morning, friends, I, too, knew exactly what Jane would say! Y'all gave me a grin this morning.
Today will be taken up with first a visit to my doctor, then lunch with a former boss whom I dearly love. She's a great individual who is absolutely expert in her field. We've kept in touch since she left the company I retired from.
After that, I need to find a Catholic bookstore here in the vicinity to get a gift for my daughter's future mother in law. She's a lovely lady, and I love and admire her.
Welcome, Jonathan - it's so great to hear you say that this community of photographers (and wannabees like me) has inspired you.
Y'all have a great day with our Lord.

Busy morning. First I changed the bed linens and turned the mattress...not an easy job doing it by yourself. The dirty (clean now) ones are in the dryer. I have showered and eaten breakfast. I have talked on the phone a lot since I found out the arrangements of our Euchre friends funeral. Then I had to write a check and take it to Ivalou's for my part in Beef and Boards next year. Now the head-honcho (Marge) is coming here around 11:30 for me to copy the final dates of our shows for next year. In the meantime, I am suppose to be getting ready to leave by 12:45pm for another Euchre club. And I have to eat something, too. Whew! I sound like Janet!!!
Cold today....only 56° right now. Gloomy...looks like rain. We did have a shower last evening.
Oh, yes! The movie was good. Funny. Need to program 'The Women' in my Ultimate TV. I would like to see the original movie.
I, too, will be so glad when this election is over...tired of hearing about it and wondering about it. ---<---<-@---<---<-@---<---<-@---<---<-@---<---<-@---<---<-@

Good Morning to one and all who enter this coffee shop today, there are some Healthy snacks over there on the counter help yourself, sit back and enjoy your :coffee: and treats.
Not much going on around here for me since I am only working the one job, but
I am not bored, spend a lot of time sitting in front of the computer looking at all the pretty stats that my stationery group is sending through.
I have made a new sign to put up at the Senior Center for some work, I don't need much to just get by. But I will need funds for moving in the spring.
Nita do you know if Caregivers have to be Registered in Oregon with some agency? Here we have a Caregivers Registry, where they send out a list of names for the client to call. It is up to the client to do the hiring.
Marilyn, if you work for the state, you have to be registered with them. There are so many caregiving agencies here, however, that most have found that signing with the state too slow. I know my sis was registered with Senior and Disabled, Oregon State, and left them to work with a private agency. They always need people, so I doubt you'd have problems getting a job. I see ads in the paper all the time through these different companies. (Sue works for Simple Treasures...they're located in the small mall right where the North Bend McDonalds was torn down and is being rebuilt.
Well, this remodel isn't much fun anymore. :) Still like the contractor, but he ordered two different windows the wrong size. It'll be another two weeks before they're in. He'll finish framing the ones he's done so far, and then we have to wait till the rain is over and the windows come in, for him to paint and install them. Now that I think of it..........I like the idea of a two week break. :) It's just that Maycie has been sick and with all the noise it's been hard.
I'm tired and am heading to bed early. Night all. Nita
Hi Everyone!
I drove home from Virginia on Sunday in heavy rain! It was not pleasant at all. We went to church in the morning and enjoyed an awesome sermon and then had a quick lunch before I headed back up to Guelph. I think I pulled in at about midnight. It wasn't a nice drive this time.
We've posted the winners of the latest Mini Challenge! Hope you all go over to that topic and congratulate the winners!
Now we're waiting for "Under_His_Shadow" to come up with the next topic for the next Challenge.
Hi everyone. I see I didn't post yesterday. It was really a very busy day as the housekeeper was here and Pat and I went to vote early. On the way we stopped and filled up our car at a station that didn't have lines and we had no waiting. When we got to the voting location, we immediately were served with no waiting. On the way back we stopped at the grocery store and when I got home and we unloaded the groceries and then I left for a meeting, stopping at the bank to cash a check. When I got home I worked on the computer that the housekeeper brought over and still have it to finish up somethings on when I have time. Then last evening we went to a town about 30 miles from here and ate supper there and then conducted a meeting. It was about 9:15 when we got home and I was tired so farily soon retired for the evening. Now wasn't that exciting? However, that was my day.
Today should be a bit less hectic. We have Bible Study with the pastor this morning and then I have choir practice this evening. I had thought I would miss the practice tonight because of a conflict but that meeting was canceled due to the gas shortage we have here in the Atlanta area.
Pat, sorry to see you had such a tough trip home. I wondered if you would get caught in the rain. However, I know you are a good driver and know how to handle bad road conditions.
Nita, your experience seems to be the ongoing story in that industry where there always seem to be mistakes and delays. Hope that little one is feeling better today.
Marilyn, hope your new sign generates the work you are looking for.
Etta Sue, you are really busy with various activities. I remember that in the spring and fall my mother always did a complete cleaning of the house. Of course we lived in the country on a dirt road and there was a lot of dust in the summer when the house had to be opened up.
Ruth Ann, hope you had a great day yesterday with a good doctor's appointment and then luncheon with your friend.
Colin, I have opened your new website and will give it a look in a little bit.
Gord, that is encouraging news. It is too bad you have to have a member of your Federal government intervene to get the health care you need.
Hi Jane and Al.
Jonathan, welcome to CP and we hope you will join with us here often. I take it you enjoy working with wood.
Liz, I think we all agree with you about being ready for the election season to be over. I have made my voting decisions and voted. However, know I will not be able to avoid more news on the election in the next month and then it will start again for the next election.
Melody, good to see you probably have missed the major impact of the hurricane.
(https://www.christianphotographers.com/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi33.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fd100%2FChristine721%2Fsmileyphp-1.gif&hash=c74a68617ec5dc0612427d88ca7cfa8460bdffb8) :coffee: its raining here today and it is still pretty warm.
We had an awesome bible study last night and the pastor spoke on we are built upon the foundation of Jesus Christ.
Larry here the gas is not in shortage but the prices are very high.
Colin I did visit your site and enjoyed.
Pat Good to see you
We are having elections here also in October.
Hello Nita, Gord, Colin , Summcron, Ruth Ann, Etta Sue, Marilyn , Liz and AL, Jane. and to all.(https://www.christianphotographers.com/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi33.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fd100%2FChristine721%2Fhug.gif&hash=c885c5b20b117f7ed06edb04e0bee9a2a743527b)

Euchre was fun yesterday. When they come here this month, they will get a rude awakening. Old house, hodge-podge furniture, nothing fancy or outstanding. Just me and my two kitties. Oh, well. Hope they are not coming to see the house...but to play cards.
I remember Mom doing spring and fall housecleaning. Even remember stretching lace curtains on the stretchers, and putting a rug over the clothes line and beating it with a rug beater. Also every so often wallpapering the rooms and painting the wood floor where the rugs didn't cover. No wall-to-wall carpeting back then. I sure don't do any of that but with two Euchre Clubs being here, it will be a good excuse to do some deep cleaning...then it will be done until I have them here again!! Killing two birds with one stone!!
It got cold here last night. It is only 51° right now and only to get to mid-60's today. Partly cloudy. Typical fall day in Indiana. The leaves are turning.

Hello dear friends! :hello:
I know it's been a while since I checked in, so I am here today and updating you all on what's been going on with me. I have a broken index finger on my left hand and typing is VERY slow and quite a chore. So, I've been limiting things like forums and blogging as much as I can until it heals.
Both of my girls are in high school this year, so I was quite busy preparing for that in August. My oldest graduates this year. My girls just competed in a feis (aka Irish Dance competition) and you can read about that and see photos on my personal blog.
I've had a very busy summer, which I wrote about on my blog recently. I have missed the last two challenges. Just busy busy. Some very nice images submitted!
A most exciting thing has happened for me. :cheer: God blessed me with my first magazine cover! It's for a homeschool magazine. I posted and wrote about it in my blog, if you want to go there and read it. CLICK HERE (http://click%20here) I also posted it in the Our Pulished Members section of this forum.
I am enjoying my new large print Bible. Boy, that makes me seem older than I am, if you don't know about my eye condition. LOL It's about the same or slightly worse depending on the day, if you want to know.
Hello and welcome to all the :newbie:'s!
All typed out for now. Blessings, Kathleen
Hello Everyone...
I'm just rushing (as usual).
It always seems as if when I get up here to Guelph, I think to myself, "Self? You'll be able to rest and take an afternoon nap and cook some nice things to put in the freezer and..." but it never seems I get to do that!
I had a meeting today with the President of the Guelph Hiking Trail Club and now I'm picking Norm McKenna up to drive him to Hamilton to the hospital where Judy was and she managed to leave her walker. They are such expensive pieces of equipment! Anyway, it's been found and so I'm driving Norm down to pick it up and then we're having supper with Judy at the St. Joseph's Hospital here in Guelph later.
Then I'm going to drive Norm to Belleville, Ontario one day (about 3 1/2 hours east of here) to see his brother who is in intensive care in the hospital there. Not sure when that will take place.
A big :welcome: to you Jonathan!
Kathleen, it's sooooooo lovely to see your post. So happy that you're enjoying your new Bible. I'm continuing to pray for your situation. Look after that finger!
Hi Melody!
Busy day for you, Larry!
Hi Marilyn!
Etta Sue, I remember all those things too that my mother did. I did lots of those too when I lived in N. Ireland. And I didn't have a washing machine until Janice was born and my dear mother felt so sorry for me doing all the washing by hand and she helped me purchase a Hotpoint Supermatic twin tub spin washing machine. That was the neatest little machine.
Anyway, off to Hamilton, Will chat with you later.
Thanks, Pat! Boy, you really are a busy woman.
I decided to go ahead and post the photo of the cover here, too...
(https://www.christianphotographers.com/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fshekinahphotography.smugmug.com%2Fphotos%2F384088374_ENY3Y-M.jpg&hash=d4f9079f114b4c81a13a20d46ea59dd460c34764)
Ohhh, Kathleen, that's a lovely cover!
So proud of you.
Now, I'm off to Hamilton.
I don't know how long it has been since I visited here but I was allowed to sign in so at least I'm still a member.
Some of you know that Cornelia is very ill with heart failure and is in Alive Hospice home care. Six months ago the doctor said he didn't think she would live for more than six months. But she is still here though her condition has weakened. We have a nurse who comes twice a week, a lady who comes three times a week to bath her, and a social worker who comes every other week. We also have medicine to help her when she needs it, things like morphine, and other drugs which help when she really gets agitated. We know God is with us every day and we never have trials which are too hard for us to bear. We appreciate your prayers and the prayers of so many which help us in this difficult time. God is good.
I still think of many friends here at CP and I love you all.
Papa John
Hello Papa John good to see you posting here, I didn't know about Cornelia I will certainly keep her in my prayers.
Ain't it just grand when your pictures get published on the front cover of something, the best I've managed was a Christian book cover, called, Living As God's People, by Don Guthrie, you know when that cheque comes through the door, and you feel like the man or woman who broke the bank at Monte Carlo?
Thanks so much, Papa John, for posting to let us know about Cornelia. Father, I pray You'll give to both John and Cornelia special patience and trust. Enable them to know Your power and presence with them, along with Your love and goodness toward them. Oh Father, if this is Cornelia's time, then administer to her an easy and joyful passage into Your Presence and glory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Thank you, Papa John, for visiting us again. I have been keeping up, on SeniorNet (as Jaywalker), on your postings about Cornelia and the news of the family. It is good you have come here to let all your Christian friends know, as well. Prayer really does help.
I say Amen to Al's prayer. <3 God bless.
Ohhh, Papa John, how lovely to have you come here today and let us all know of our dear Cornelia. We have and we will contyinue to pray for you both. Oh, how well do we remember when the Lord answered all of our prayers for you when you were so seriously ill. What a time that was but how precious it was to see you come and start posting after such a serious illness.
Thank you so much for coming in here to our little circle of friends who love you and will pray for you.
I'll be praying with the rest of our CP friends for you, Papa John. I'm so sorry for Cornelia's long illness. I know y'all have loved each other and our Master for many years, and you have many memories to look back on during this sad time of illness.
Much love, Ruth Ann
Oh, it was so nice to see your face, Papa John. I'm sorry to hear of Cornelia's condition, but join with you in the comfort of knowing you both belong to the Lord and all is in His hands.
Thank you for coming to let us know. Nita
Hi everyone. I got up early today as I accidentally turned on my alarm clock and it went off at 5 am and I wasn't able to go back to sleep. I don't plan on making that mistake again.
Papa John, thanks for coming in and sharing with us. I have been following your postings on SN so have been aware of the seriousness of Cornelia's condition.
Kathleen, what a beautiful magazine cover. Glad to see your update and sorry to read about your broken finger. That would make typing really difficult.
Pat, your kindnesses to Norm and Judy are wonderful. I know it adds to your busy schedule but in the scheme of things helping someone else is a lot more important than a household chore. These things help us see what is really important in our lives and I am sure Norm and Judy are very grateful for your help.
Etta Sue, I also remember those big beating wire hoops used to clean rugs that would be hung out and also the curtain stretchers with those sharp little nails to hold the curtains.
Not much on the schedule for today and I am looking forward to it. I need to gather some things together and get into the car for a trip to Atlanta tomorrow to take our daughter to Grady hospital for an appointment and then to the grocery store. She will be moving to another apartment a week from Sunday.
Papa John Thank you for the update. You have been on my heart and now I know why. Am Praying for you both.
This has been a dificult week with little sleep. I hope to head to bed earlier tonight. That should fix the problem.
The weather has turned here in the north. The trees are about at their peek colour, maybe another few days. We have had our first sprinkling of snow, and mornings are getting colder.
My boss has had this business for a year now, it is quite an accomplishment for her.
I must go, I have a few more threads to check out.
Have a great God day everyone.
JudyB
Good Morning Everyone...
It's a lovely day here in Guelph. I'm going to see if I can get my lawn cut today. Not sure if it will dry out enough but maybe this afternoon. Some other de-cluttering to do as well.
I took Norm to Hamilton yesterday and then had supper with Judy and Norm in the St. Joseph's Rehab Hospital. It was lovely to visit with Judy once again. Her spirits are always so high. She wanted to be remembered to all of you on here.
I made some Shepherd's Pie yesterday. Instead of putting it into a large pan, I bought some individual tin foil pans with lids and divided it between 8 of them and mashed potatoes for the top, sprinkled a bit of grated cheese on top and now they are all in my freezer for a time when I don't feel like cooking and when I want some "comfort" food to eat! (I love Shepherd's Pie)
Must go and start my day. I still have to clean out my car from the trip home. It sure gets messy.
Let's all remember our dear friend, Cornelia, today and her wonderful caregiver, Papa John.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY
NITA!!
:cheer: :groupwave: :cheer:
A Big Thankyou!
I can't say enough how very important it is for a new person to our website to find messages of welcome posted to them.
And I'd like to thank those of you who post welcome messages to the new folks. We have such an extensive list of new people in our Introduce Yourself (http://www.christianphotographers.com/community/index.php?board=42.0) area and I sure enjoy reading your messages to them. So how much more will the new folks enjoy reading a message just to them saying, "A big :welcome: WELCOME"
So, PLEASE continue and if you haven't done this, please start. I've had so many emails from many over the past months saying how much they appreciated the welcome messages posted to them.
We have our new Photo Challenge open!

Good Morning: Pat did Paul go to Guelph with you this trip? What do you do with Geordie and Lauren when you go to Virginia? I am taking my dogs with me next week to Oregon they will have to meet the cat and learn to get along together, might as well start now, than waiting until alter.
It rained here last night just a little bit, there is more coming according to the news;
We sure do need it. I will be walking the lady and her 3 dogs in the rain so I may as well walk mine in the rain too.
Nita, I certainly hope your birthday is wonderfully blessed. You're a special lady to us. Best wishes for this new year in your life - may you be given an extra portion of faith, hope, love, health, and happiness this year.
Much love to Papa John and Cornelia.
I, too, liked the magazine cover photos. What an accomplishment!
Pat, I love shepherds pie, too, and made it often when the kids were growing up.
Hi Marilyn...
Geordie is looked after by a close friend and if I'm not going for a long time, I leave Lauren in the house and my next door neighbour comes in and feeds her.
No, Paul is in Virginia this trip as he's right at a crucial time for building the house dealing with sub-contractors, etc. and I had medical appointments to deal with.

Oh, Papa John ~ It is so good to see you posting in CP. I, too, keep up on Cornelia with your posts on SrNet. She certainly is a trooper. I anticipate in reading your posts.
Pat ~ I opened up my email today and thought...what is going on? When you moved all the mini-challenges, I got an email notification. On my laptop, I get a notification but the clickable goes to the top the page, not the first post after the last one I read. Is that a Vista thing or do I need to do something else on here? I, too, have been wondering about Paul, Geordie and Lauren. Edit: I see you answered the question while I was composing. ::)
Today is the funeral visitation of the lady that played Euchre with us. Not looking forward to that. It will be a sad time but a blessing to know that her health is good now..no problems breathing and her heart is super.
It is another fallish day today. Cool. Bright and sunny with some wind. I have sunshine shining in the windows to help heat up the house. Not going to turn on the furnace yet!!! Gas prices.....»ïÏï«,¸¸,»ïÏï«,¸¸,»ïÏï«,¸¸,»ïÏï«,¸¸,»ïÏï«,¸¸,»ïÏï«,¸¸,»ïÏï«,¸¸,»ïÏï«,¸¸,»ïÏï«

Sorry for all the emails, Etta Sue but that system is just so good so that we don't miss any posts, isn't it?
I created a Challenge Archive board and we'll have all the past challenges in one place in there now.
I don't know a single thing about Vista. I know that my email notifications still go to the unread post. Love it!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY
NITA!!
:hb2: :hb3: :hb2:
Lots of posts to read this morning. Scotty is certainly wide awake!
Papa John, I have also kept aware of things on SN and have prayed for Cornelia. Lovely to see you here and will continue to pray for both of you.
Rain today. Not good, the painters started the outside of the house yest. and rain is forcast for the next few days. I tried to tell the kids it was too late in the season....but what do old ladies know!
I am thinking of taking the little E&N train up island to visit for lunch and see my friend. Not this week though. She seems quite determined to get together. Will not stay over (as asked). Possibly another time. It is a nice trip if the train doesn't 1. break down 2. hit something 3. hit someone. On a good trip it takes about 90 minutes.
All of the above have happened a number of times and it is most troubling to all concerned.
Nice to see you back, Pat. What a busy person.
Pleasant Day/Evening and God Bless.
Liz
Thank you, guys, for all the Happy Birthday greetings. :) :)
It rained here last night too, Marilyn, and my new roof leaked. :( Right where it's always leaked, where the house and the garage attach. That's so disappointing, and I know the roofers wont' know what to do. No one has ever been able to fix it, new roof or repair. The leak just moves from side to side. I'm so ready for these guys to be gone, maybe I'll just hope it swells up and stops. Ya think?
Lord, You know all about it.
Porches! I love porches. Old porches, long porches, short porches; I'm looking forward to what people decide to submit in this one. Nita
Well, Nita, if I were paying for my roof to be fixed, it better get fixed. I'd be on the phone to the roofers and just say to them, "The roof leaks where you "fixed" it!"
Get them back!
:hbirthday: :hbgift: Nita. Hope you've have a great day.
I don't think I can out do scotty with the birthday greetings :)
Blessings to all.
I know that as a Canadian it is probably not my place to comment on your election. However, after watching the debate tonight, I can't help but be sickened by the media coverage that followed. Clearly, Sarah P. was a shinning light in a place of darkness. Surely, it was obvious to even the most dim light in the attic, what was true and what was false. ::)
Liz, I watched it on FOX and they are now talking all in favour of Sarah. I thoroughly enjoyed this debate.
I started watching the Canadian one by switching back and forth but then decided to stay with the US one. :)
I watched and then just ran the channels (I only have a few) listening to what others were saying. Right after the debate, I didn't hear one negative comment about her. It figures it'll come, but I wanted first impressions and lots of people were impressed.
Pat, the guys will be back because they still have two windows to install and to paint. That'll be after the rain.......maybe two weeks. I'll let them know, but because this loan I got is a non interest government loan for HOUSE repairs only, they aren't allowed to do anything to the garage. This may be on the garage side and not the house. If I could afford to pay out of pocket, they could do more, but I can't.
Strange. I don't get Fox, which I was told is the most fair of the channels. Checked MSNBC, CNN, ABC, NBC, etc. and found them all twisting and changing her remarks. ?? Polls showing her far behind in winning the debate. Many smirking at her folksy delivery. Oh well, I always believe that truth comes out in the end. Go Sarah!
Hi Liz...
I did a bit of channel hopping as well after watching on FOX and did hear the negative comments and also saw the polls in favour of Biden. But we'll see what happens tomorrow.
Hi everyone.
Happy Birthday Nita.
Today is a busy day. I will have to leave from the Friday morning coffee and head to Atlanta around 8:30 as our daughter has an 10 am appointment at Grady Hospital. However, this appointment is just to have a blood test and, as far as I know, she has no other appointments down there. Then she needs to go to the grocery store and have help with some other errands. I am taking some of the things we will need to use in the move also so they will be available.
I watched the debate last night between Palin and Biden. I thought it was a good debate.
Liz, I would be very upset if my new roof leaked but would certainly ask the roofers to fix the problem.
Etta Sue, I really doubt that Vista has anything to do with the situation you describe.
Hope this is a good day for folks.
Good Morning everyone.
Happy belated birthday Nita. Sorry to have missed it.
Well I was swamped with alterations yesterday and between taking off duty time to sew at the store and time at home I am almost caught up. The big job is to buy and put new lining into a lady's jacket. It is a $400 jacket and the lining has shredded. The store she bought it from won't come good for replacement. I hope to have that done by Wednesday.
Well my time before work is flying so bye for now
JudyB
Good morning
Hello Judy B -see your online. :sidedance:
I am going to try and get some work done here today.
Have to bring my swing in so that means summer is finally over :'(
My husband and I are going out for supper tonight we will try the buffet tonight.
Good to see all the new comers here-Welcome.
Love looking at all the photos.(https://www.christianphotographers.com/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi33.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fd100%2FChristine721%2Fflash.gif&hash=90847cf3a070fac705886a3435e7127cd6042e17)
Good Morning. I am not usually on the computer this early. Misty wanted out, despite it being dark....who am I to argue. She will probably come in like a wet furball. It is rain again this morning...
I would also be upset if the roof leaked, Larry. Fortunately, it is Nita with the problem. The kids recently did put on a new roof and it looks and works great. Did that with my house in Victoria and even then it surely was expensive.
Painter has finished (except for a little left to do) the outside of the house and it looks wonderful. Two shades of blue....He will come to fix the mistakes inside and finish the work the other painter left undone. Sad that an evangelical Christian could be so dishonest. Lest said about that, the better. God has his own way of taking care of matters.
Guess I will go and check the news now. Always read the major US online papers and the Globe & Mail, etc. That should really 'make my day'. ;)
Pleasant Day/Evening and God Bless.
Liz
Relative to "The Shack," I read the following comment by one very solid evangelical and orthodox Christian commentator. It may or may not be helpful, but I would caution every Christian reader to exercise extreme caution in reading the book.
"The Shack is being described as a "Christian" novel and is currently ranked number one on the New York Times bestseller list for paperback fiction. Many believers are buying multiple copies and giving them to friends and family. The Shack reads as a true story, but is obviously allegorical fiction. The book conveys postmodern spiritual ideas and teachings that challenge biblical Christianity - all in the name of "God" and "Jesus" and the "Holy Spirit." Author William P. Young's alternative presentation of traditional Christianity has both inspired and outraged his many readers. All the while his book continues to fly off the shelves of local bookstores."
AMEN Al
We are having a wood bee again tomorrow. John will be home late, probably not till morning. Please pray for his safety in driving and the safety of the men cutting wood. This will give us the balance of our winter supply. God is good, we are ahead of last year in haviing all our supply in before the snow flies this year.
Please pray for a 4 yo girl who is undergoing facial surgery as I write. She has a birth deformation that is being removed.
Well have to run
God bless

'The Shack' is not a book to learn about God...the Bible is the book for that. It is called a Christian book because it has God, Jesus and The Holy Spirit mentioned in it...that's all. Therefore it wouldn't be called a Buddhist book or a Muslim book. 'The Shack' is a fun book, one that makes one wish they could come in direct contact with God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit while here on earth. The Bible tells you that that can't be done, at least in the form that 'The Shack' tells you God and Jesus is. I really can't see as it could be dangerous to a Christian because a Christian would know right out that it is a fiction book. Now a non-Christian that is on the fence...yes, I can see where that could be dangerous to believe 'The Shack'. Enough said.
The funeral visitation was nice, Jerri looked beautiful and peaceful after years of health issues. And of course, Ivalou and I ate out..me having a delicious plate of chicken and noodles, mashed potatoes, green beans and a couple of dinner rolls. Great!
Today is another sunny fallish day. I got chilly during the night and put an afghan over the bed covers and then slept like a dream. I have so much that I need to do in this house so I best get some of it done today.
I don't know what but I will find something. :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

Good Morning, Can't stay Heading out for Tai Chi practice then to work, back home in a couple of hours. I thought Sarah did very well in the debate. Altho' both did speak a few falsehoods.
Interesting that we can agree to disagree, here on CP. I would not read 'The Shack' myself after reading part of it online. But then I can't stand 'Jesus Christ Superstar' now, even tho' it was watching it that made me want to learn the 'real' truth. The pastor who lead me to Jesus always said, "Give the Devil your little finger and he will take the whole hand." So, as a Christian, I try to keep that in mind all day long, 24/7. :)
Yes, you are correct Marilyn. Karl Rove lists 10 factually wrong Biden debate statements. Others are busy listing those of Sarah P. Perhaps they should re-name the debates: Truth or Consequences!
What interesting and scary times we live in. I am so glad that God is in control of the end result. Especially, he is in control of my life.
God Bless,
Liz
Thanks Alan. Those are my thoughts as well regarding books such as this.
It's been raining today and I want to cut my lawn! Guess it will be tomorrow now.
Etta Sue, sounds like you and Ivalou had a lovely time. One of these days, you just never know! I may just drive down to see you for a weekend! :) How are your photography club nights doing? I wish I had a camera club in our area here to attend.
Liz when you say, "What interesting and scary times we live in. I am so glad that God is in control of the end result. Especially, he is in control of my life.", how true a statement that is and how wonderful to know that "he is in control of my life"!
Thanks for that.
I've opened a topic in the "Prayer and Praise" area that I'd appreciate all of you visiting.
It's about Kathy.
http://www.christianphotographers.com/community/index.php?topic=7497.0
Yes it is God to know that God is in Control. What a difference it makes in our lives every day to know this. <3
Hi everyone, Raining here today. Well I have some available time now so I thought I better come in and say a few more words. Not doin much this afternoon, I may do some cleaning but no hurry for that, I would like to get into the corner where my Cedar chest and see what I have stored there in the plastic tubs and the chest too.
I have the kids spare old Nintendo and a box full of games that now ever plays, so I will ask Gilbert what he wants to do with those and see if there is anything I have that he wants and if he will take it so I don't have to move it.
well I need to have some lunch now.
TTYL
You know, the wonderful thing is that we Christians all belong to a different nation. We don't have to worry about candidates, issues, political lies, etc. In our nation, God is in control, and all these other things are under His sovereign control also. He is our Lord and He is our King, and I love His kingdom!
Interestingly, though, Liz, Pat - I tend to agree with you regarding U.S. politics also. My underlying prayer, tlhough, is that He would send revival - even in these dark days.
Amen, Alan!

FARTHER ALONG (http://christianphotographers.com/sounds/fartheralong.mid)
(Click to hear music)
W. B. Stevens
Tempted and tried we're oft made to wonder
Why it should be thus all the day long.
While there are others living about us,
Never molested though in the wrong.
Farther along we'll know all about it,
Farther along we'll understand why;
Cheer up, my brother, live in the sunshine,
We'll understand it all by and by.
When death has come and taken our loved ones,
It leaves our home so lonely and drear;
Then do we wonder why others prosper,
Living so wicked year after year.
Farther along we'll know all about it,
Farther along we'll understand why;
Cheer up, my brother, live in the sunshine,
We'll understand it all by and by.
Faithful till death said our loving Master.
A few more days to labor and wait;
Toils of the road will then seem as nothing
As we sweep through the beautiful gate.
Farther along we'll know all about it,
Farther along we'll understand why;
Cheer up, my brother, live in the sunshine,
We'll understand it all by and by.
When we see Jesus coming in glory,
When He comes from His home in the sky;
Then we shall meet Him in that bright mansion
We'll understand it all by and by.
Farther along we'll know all about it,
Farther along we'll understand why;
Cheer up, my brother, live in the sunshine,
We'll understand it all by and by.

Hi everyone. Another week has flown by. We had our shortest day at Grady yesterday, only about an hour, as all our daughter had to do was give some blood for testing and answer some questions from the researchers. We then stopped to eat lunch, as she hadn't eaten anything yesterday morning before giving the blood, and then I took her to Wal-Mart to buy groceries. When we got back to her apartment I signed my part of the lease papers for her new apartment and found she can actually move a week from today if she can get the guys who are to help to do it then. If not, we will move her on Sunday afternoon. Her computer DSL line, from which she gets her phone service through Skype, will be available on Monday, the 13th. I didn't do much else when I got home around 2:30 as was worn out. However, it was a good day.
We spoke with our son last evening and he said he had seen the heart doctor yesterday afternoon and all was going well and he was feeling good. He is trying to recover his energy levels and the doctor told him it was time to start walking and exercising. His wife, who is disabled, has both an electric wheelchair and a Jazzy motorized scooters. An hour or so after we spoke to him he called back to say they had decided to offer the Jazzy scooter to his sister as his wife seldom used it. They plan on coming over sometime in November and will bring it over and visit with us. We will meet at Stacey's apartment so it will be there. We haven't seen him or his wife since last Christmas.
Liz, sorry about the name mixup. I had a senior moment as I knew it was Nita who had had the problem with the roof leak.
Judy, it sounds like you had a very busy day with all that sewing.
Re: roof leaks so sorry to hear about your continuing roof leak Nita, my bathroom ceiling has had a leak every time it rains for two years, I have had the maintenance people out her several times, they have caulked around all the vents, checked the roof and it is still leaking. I didn't realize it was leaking until I started cleaning the bathroom yesterday and found a puddle on the floor and droplets hanging from the cracks in the ceiling.
Pat I love that song "Farther Along".
Not much on my agenda today except to clean my living room, maybe I will finally get into the corner behind my bedroom door where my cedar chest and some plastic tubs are and go through that stuff. I asked Gilbert what he wanted me to do with that old Nintendo and all those games, and he said to keep them here so the kids would have something to when the come to spend the night, (They don't spend the night anymore they are too busy). Gilbert's birthday is Monday and we are going to lunch.
We celebrated an anniversary a little late by going to a cabin for a night and scoping out a place for the family to meet at next fall. We went out to eat and prices were so high but I had a favorite - BLT on toasted wheat bread - it was great. We watched the debate and Sarah is the winner for sure. Both Fox & CNN (Certainly Not Neutral) have a bias but CNN is blatently out to push their agenda. Stopped at daughter's home on the return trip - she had just had a traction adjustment on her neck for a bulging disc. She injured herself by working so hard on the rental house they bought. She also begins a part-time consulting job next week - nice, after being laid off just a while ago.
Marilyn: WOW - you are moving north! What a change for you. Will you be close to sweet Nita & dear Jane? How about charming Al?
Pat: I imagine you can barely wait until you finally move into your new home. Will it be before Christmas? That drive you do could be iffy with snow.
Papa John: I pray for peace for you and Cornelia.
Larry: It sounds like things are smoother this week. That is so good because you and Pat can use the peace in your lives.
Coffee is ready - I can't do a walk this morning - a little health issue for me - I will wait until next week to see if I have to go to the doctor. My physical is in November. :coffee:
Carol I will be moving away from Brother Al and very close to Nita and Jane just a few miles away, In minutes? maybe 15 at the most depending on traffic.

Pat ~ That would be wonderful. Why not try to make it on the second Monday of the month and you could go to Photo Guild with me? You can't believe the photography in such a small group. Come so you can go to church with me, eat out with the girls, go to Guild...stay as long as you want. Sounds like a plan to me. And of course, Ivalou would love to see you, too!
What should have been a 15 minute job turned out to be a two hour job. I decided to clean my electric fireplace since it was making a whining noise. But I couldn't get out a phillips screw...the head was burred. So I called Kaye Don and he brought a tool over that actually cuts off the head of the screw so you can remove it. Then I decided that I had help so we did the rest of the cleaning. I sprayed WD-40 on what I knew was making the whining noise. He pushed on a board on the mantle and it came loose. He fixed that. Then putting the insert back in, I pushed on it and it came loose again. So he fixed it again. Two hours later, we were done...all but putting away all the stuff I had to get out to do the job... Uh, it is noiseless now!!!
Then I went to the mail box and figured I might as well clean my windows. My new windows are so hard to clean between the two windows on the windowsill. Too many crevices that collect dirt and algae. So I got my hose and set it on jet and cleaned out the windows on the deck. Hosed off the deck and decided to do the rest of the windows. Twelve of them. By then I was soaked and cold! But I got the job done. I have water spots but the next rain may take care of that. ::)
Not much happening today in my neck of the woods. Bright and sunny...not a cloud in the sky. Not much signs of color changing in the trees yet. Another week maybe. <: )) ))><<~~> <: )) ))><<~~< <: )) ))><<~~<

Thank God for a glorious answer to prayer! This is something I've grieved about and prayed about and agonized about, etc. for many years. And, last night, while I was fast asleep, God was working it out in the midst of the night, in the darkness, outside a restaurant.
Thank you, God ... most humbly -
Amen.
How wonderful it is to see in stark clarity God's working in answer to prayer! Thank you, Ruth Ann, for letting us join you in gladness and thanksgiving!
Ruth Ann, I just love it when God does things that way. :) And He always does things in His time and the best way. Our Father is so wonderful. While you were sleeping............isn't that just the way He is? How could we not love Him?
Marilyn, I think we could even be 10 minutes apart when you move here. Sweet Nita? Dear Jane? Charming Al? lol Carol, how sweet of you. :)
It's rained all day long. I babysat for Maycie because her mom was sick, but managed to do some furniture arranging and make a nice chicken and vegetable soup while she was napping.
After having Maycie since yesterday afternoon until 6:30 tonight, I gotta tell you this great gramma is tired. I hope the dogs want to turn in early, because I sure am.
Tomorrow I'm having a visit with my three sisters. We haven't all been together in........well, I can't remember how long, but over a year. We're meeting at a park, so hope it isn't raining. We're all Oregonians, though, so rain won't stop us. We plan to try for the pavilion, if it isn't taken.
Blessings, all. G'night for now. Nita

I am all ready for church. Just waiting for the clock to let me know when it is time to leave.
Tony came last evening and worked on the tire on the mower that keeps losing air. He used something to clean the rim...it fastened on the air hose and made a whirring noise...dremmel tool-like. He put the tire back on and it still leaks air like a sieve around the rim. So I am taking it to Tractor Supply after church to see if they can fix it. May take a new rim. ???
That's it for today. I am praying that everyone has a God-blessed day!

Hi everyone. It looks like it will be another sunny, mild and dry day here in Georgia. This morning the house is actually a bit cool which reminds me that it won't be long before we will be using the furnace.
We will go to church and then out to lunch today. I sure hope our choir director is well this morning. She was sick last Sunday, but came and lead the choir, but by Wednesday she had to call in a substitute. Fortunately, our choir has three or four others trained in music, including a lady and her daughter who just joined us last Sunday but the mother and our choir director were friends in the same town when they grew up. So we will be fine even if the director can't make it this morning.
Our daughter-in-law is disabled and has both a Jazzy electric mobility scooter and an electric wheelchair. We were discussing with our son the other night where they acquired them. In about an hour he called back saying they had decided that our DIL wasn't really using the scooter very often and they wanted to give it to his sister, who will certainly be able to use it. They are going to bring it over in another 5 or 6 weeks and show her how to use it. The nice thing about the scooters is they break down into 3 or 4 parts and will fit into the truck of a car whereas an electric wheelchair does not. I was very touched by this kind gesture.
Not much on the agenda for this afternoon or evening. Yesterday was also pretty much a day of rest.
Good Morning everyone. Nita I am still learning my way around there so I'm not so sure I won't get lost a few times. I know how to get to the mall, to Wal*Mart and of course Fred Meyers. I did see where the natural food store is located downtown, as we passed by there coming back into NB in the summer. The places between 101 and Wal*Mart and along Broadway to Virginia. It's going to take living there to learn.
I have had my devotions a :coffee: and read my email so far this morning, I have TBN on the TV listening to Jentzen Franklin preach. I will be going to church in a few hours and looking forward to the message that God has given to Jim for us today.
Not raining here for now and hopefully I will be able to take my dogs for their walks this afternoon. I've had talks with both of them on how to behave around the Fritzy the cat.

Hmmmmm no one has been here sing Pat posted early this morning.
Church was nice this morning, good preaching that's for sure.
I'm just wondering where every one is today. come back and tell us about your day.
Sure is quiet in here today.
I had a nice time with my sisters. It cleared a bit while we were there, and started raining pretty good as we left. Perfect timing. We laughed at stories of our mom and dad. It was good remembering.
I did go to say hello to Pao (she's a girl. lol) I looked at her beautiful picture of Manila from her office window. What a view!
Larry, that is so kind of your son and daughter in law to offer the scooter to your daughter. It will be a real help. I didn't realize that you could break them down like that. Much easier to carry around.
Marilyn, after you've been here awhile, it will be "old hat" to you. :) You'll have to learn where all of our Dollar Stores are, of course. lol Nita
Nita the $$ stores and the thrift stores too. I already know where 1 Dollar store is a two pet shops.
I am suffering a huge headache complete with nausea, so will close for this evening.
Gld's blessings to all who come our way.
Oops!
Sorry about that "him" Nita.
Thanks for posting a welcome, folks! It's one of the most important things on any community on the internet that the new folks know that they are made welcome.
