Title: Angel painting origin
Post by: Pat on October 10, 2003, 01:30:56 PM

Posting for Margit....

This is an unusual request, but my daughter asked me if I could identify this painting. Although it is a familiar one I cannot place it, thought that one of our art lovers might could name the painting and its artist.

Thank you kindly,

Margit

Isn't that part of the painting on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel?

I cannot help you here, sister.  I took music classes in school, not visual arts.  It shows at times like this. :-[

I remember seeing this before, but where?  I do not think it is in the Sistine, I had a look.  You can double check yourself by following this link; http://www.kfki.hu/~arthp/tours/sistina/.

If I remember, I will let you know.
