Title: My Little Princess
Post by: Janet on July 24, 2004, 04:52:44 PM
Beth brought this little crown of flowers home from NY for Abby; a little cousin gave her the dress for her birthday, and I gave her the jewelry kit she is working on in the pictures.  Of course, I wanted to share with you all!  (Oh, yeah, we do love those grandkids, don't we?)  ;)

Janet, in these pictures I no longer see the little girl of just a few months ago.  Lovely pictures.

I like the gleam or the shine on her hair in the second one.

Was that hand made?  Real flowers in it?

Pat, the baby's breath is dried, the flowers are silk.  And it is handmade, Beth got it at a Renissance Festival they attended.

They are beautiful pictures Janet, and it is so good to see Abby again.  I have missed her over the past few months.

I have missed some topics in Photographs Here.  I rely on email notifications.  Now I have figured out that I am only notified for the first new topic.  If several new topics are made the same day, then I missed out on some.  I have to train myself to look manually.

I am guilty of not replying to these pictures.  Above explains it.

I love the little crown of flowers.  They make them in Hawaii with live flowers and are called hakus.  Quite expensive.  I don't think they have ribbons on them so this one is a renaissance crown of flowers indeed.  Abby looks so intent in making her jewelry.

Great pictures, Janet.

Thanks, Etta Sue.  I would love to have skin that looks like Abby's!

If you click on additional options on each thread you look at, you will get a notification.  I always go to Photos Here and look for any that say "New."  Just my way.

Janet, I did that and it works fine except I clicked additional options and notification for Photographs Here.  It only notified me for the first new topic AFTER I view it.  Not EACH new topic.  Thus is the reason I missed some topics.

(That's my story and I am sticking to it)   ::)

ETTA SUE~What I really like about this new format is the feature in my profile <at the top> that allows me to click on "show unread posts since last visit"   :D  That is sooo cool!  I am really enjoying stuff that I would have missed otherwise.  Try it, you'll like it!   :P

Janet, Abby is not only growing, she's getting more grown-up.  Lovely pictures of her.

Yes, she is, Jeanne.  It makes me want to cherish each day with her.  It seems such a short time ago that her brothers were small and spending lots of time with me.  Now they are all grown up and working so much I hardly get to spend any time with them.  And I miss them..... :'(

But they are still Grandma's guys and I know they love me!

Janet, that shows they were raised well.  If not, they would be camped out on your doorstep as moochers!!!!  LOL

Thanks, Etta Sue---that is so true!  They boys are very honest, responsible and (to me, anyway) lovable young men.  Next Sunday is Mark's Court of Honor where he will recieve his Eagle Scout Badge.  We have two eagles---WHOOPEE!!  ;D ;D

I, too, have found the feature that tells me all the posts since my last visit.  It helps a lot and I get to see the most recent...as I am far behind.  \

Your Abby and her crown are precious.  No wonder you enjoy having her all the time. :)

Janet - Abby is a beautiful little girl.  She does enjoy making jewellry too, eh?  Is she still painting?  I recall some of her pictures you posted awhile back...seems like a long time since we have seen some of her paintings.  She is inheriting your talent, Janet!

Judy, while Abby was here the past couple of days she did some rock painting, some stenciling, some crayon work, made a collage with paper, sand, seashells and cotton, and some stamping.  So she has several entries for the fair, since we had already done the jewelry, the candles and the sand painting.  She is old enough now that she is telling me (if I try to help her) "TOO MUCH HELP!"
