I thought should I post this or not bother, as the actual barrow (burial mound) is only depicted as a tiny triangular segment in the upper right hand side of the picture. I took the picture as part of a series of photographs of a sunny autumn walk from town center to Margery's house. The colours were so appealing and the composition of trees and grass made a lovely closed scenic view, I never thought about photographing the barrow itself, basically it is just a two foot high 50ft diameter bank, it is ancient though 3600 years, but the barrow grounds are a lovely pklace to picnic, and they are a popular childrens play area. So there it is, nothing really much just a pleasant autumn picture, and the first one in the new category.
Very nice photo Michael thank you for sharing.
You are right the colours are beautiful and you must really enjoy living in such a beautiful place!
