It was SUCH a beautiful day today! The leaves are building to critical mass in their colors and the birds are bulking up for winter.
This little gold finch was one of a bunch of 10-11 that swarmed the feeding station and coneflower seedpods.

I wasn't sure what to expect, "critical mass"? These are lovely images.
We haven't put out our suet feeders yet, but will have to soon.

I keep mine up year-'round, Becky. It brings in a wider variety of birds. Thanks for looking.
