Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Carol: My husband Don is with the angels.....Our family was able to hold  ourselves together for the last moments.  Juar rhoufhr you might want to know. 2022-04-29, 23:35:15

Carol: Thankful:  Don is home from hospital.  I found him unconscious with head outside on the floor and the rest was in the shower.  At the same moment, one son was walking through the front door to visit.  Two fire trucks came racing in and they took over After 2021-12-29, 22:01:26

When I see what Blackburn council have done to our town it makes my blood boil, we used to have a fairly decent bus station with two lanes of bus shelters, it was all dug up, and this unwarranted sea of emptiness heaped on us, just today someone told me a friend of hers fell on these sett's and split her mouth open, she's just another in a long list of casualties caused by these rough grey sett's. Why does God put morons in positions of power? I don't think he does, its the other fella that does that.

Created a sea of pavement, cobbled roads that people are injuring themselves tripping over them, extreme right. Blackburn council sure do know how to screw up a town, and they've succeeded brilliantly here with this sand and grey area of nothingness. In fact you could call it the Darwen erg, its a description that fits beautifully.

An erg, a large relitively flat area of desert, with shifting wind-swept sand, especially in the Sahara. Encarta dictionary.

Thank's Blackburn, you spent months inconveniencing everybody, spent (I mean squandered millions of our money) creating this depressing expanse of nothingness, you could at least have given us some sculptures of camels just to make it look more convincingly like a desert.

Do try to compensate people who've tripped and fallen and hurt themselves over your ugly grey sets.

Hovis heritage just isn't worth it.

Hmmm.  Summicrom, why don't you tell us what you think of this area.

Excellent picture, though, illustrating the situation.

I think that someone somewhere has completly lost the plot, a health center up a hill that needs a bus service to get too, whilst the center of town where our health center was, is now an abandoned building site, that ran out of money, there is a constant traffic jam in the town, takes three minutes for the lights to change, so you can cross a road, or get from town to the health center, a huge school going up just beyond the center of town that looks like it could house a nuclear reactor, completely out of context with such a small town. Its like living in a total mess, somebody got big ideas for the town, and nothing fits in, its like the scrambled up pieces of a jigsaw. This expance of granite paving is really depressing, in sunlight its so glaring that it hurts your eyes. Funnily enough there's some interesting photography to be had.

Perhaps you should run for council?

God's Word is truth, You can trust and believe what he says more than any human word!!!--"Because he loves me," says the LORD, "I will rescue him;I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. He will call upon me, and I will answer him;I will be with him in trouble,I will deliver him and honor him. With long life will I satisfy him and show him my salvation."
