Hi everyone,
Please pardon my long absence.  I've been really busy to say the least.  For an update, please visit the "Prayer and Praise" thread, then "New Praise Report".
I wanted to share an image I captured in July of this year during a trip to Crested Butte, Colorado.  This was a month before I moved to Gunnison, which is a 30 minute drive from Crested Butte.  When I took this picture, I had no idea I would ever be living around here.  God is so awesome!
This image was taken north of Crested Butte.  It was really that green.  No alterations were done to the image.  The area gets so much moisture via winter snow and spring rains, it makes for abundant growth of greenery and flowers in spring and summer. 
I still am blown away by the fact that THIS is only about 40 minutes or so away from where I live now.  I live in a photographer's paradise, and I give all the thanks and glory to God!  I am truly blessed.

It's good to see you posting again Kelly. Missed your posts while you were away. My wife and I were in Colorado last month for the first time and I must say you live in a beautiful part of the world. From what I have seen from the front seat of a vehicle if a road trip is what you are looking then Colorado is the place to do it. Simply put it is a fantastic place to visit.

What an utterly delightful collection of greens there is here, I love the wire brush effect of the conifers criss cross the scene, and the cliffs give the picture a wonderful point of interest, I'd love just to hike up to those twin peaks, they look a long but easy climb, its such nice country, you'll just have to go back as the light and seasons change, Michael.
