Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Carol: Thankful:  Don is home from hospital.  I found him unconscious with head outside on the floor and the rest was in the shower.  At the same moment, one son was walking through the front door to visit.  Two fire trucks came racing in and they took over After 2021-12-29, 22:01:26

We live in Iwakuni (ee-wha-coony), Japan.  The Imazu River is one of my photography playgrounds.  About 500 meters beyond that bridge is Japan's Inland Sea.  This is a tidal river, and the tide is quite high in this image.  This is an early morning shot, with Jazz, our border collie waiting patiently behind me to continue his morning run.

And this is the other side of the river.  You can see the bridge in the distance.  The open concrete area behind Jazz and that tower is where Jazz and I play "get the stick!/ get the ball!"  until one of us gives up from exhaustion or shoulder pain. :uglystupid:

And the sign says, "The wires carry 60,000 volts of punch.  Don't put your tongue on one!" :roflBig:

How very interesting to see this, Kevin.  I've heard of Japan's Inland Sea but haven't seen any photos of that area taken by someone I know.

It's also so very nice to see Jazz sitting there so handsomely.

Thanks Kevin for showing us a bit of "Where You Live"!

Thanks Pat!

Here's another of the Inland Sea, from another river, about 20 minutes by bicycle from our home.

I shot this from the Oze River, looking toward the Inland Sea, yesterday morning.  The water temperature was warmer than the air temperature, giving an interesting effect.  Those are islands in the background, surrounding the trawler.

Gripped,
Kevin

One of the things I like best about a photography forum is getting to see parts of the world that I may not get to visit.  Thank you for these lovely images.

Oh, yeah, and the reminder to keep my tongue in my mouth.  ;D

Nice photos! Where about in Japan do you live? I'll post a map and maybe you can tell me.

So, is there a name of a town or city that is near you on Paul's map?

Afraid not.  Hiroshima is the closest major city.

How 'bout this?  See Iwakuni?

Thanks!  I see it.

Now, that helps a lot to know "Where you live!"
