From the top of Winterhill above the golf course out back of where I live, there is a view, and on a clear day, you can view the whole coast, right along the coast of North Wales, the Isle of Man and across Morecambe bay out to the Cumbrian Fells, and Barrow in Furness. Here in this panorama, the distant fells are about eighty miles away they dip down to Barrow in Furness, and you can see Morecambe bay at the foot of those hills. A hot air balloon has drifted into the scene, above the wooded hills and to the left you can just make out Preston North End football stadium, the pub is in Tockholes and is called the Rock.
You can see a slight amount of pincushion distortion on the horizon, this is a characteristic of my Sigma 400mm lens. The original slide was well off kilter and needed about three degrees of correction to level up the horizon.
