This cast iron structure is in Whitehall park in Darwen near where Margery lives, it was a drinking fountain, but now a monument to major rust, and general decay, still even the flaked and cracked paint radiates a lovely warmth when the afternoon sun filters through the trees.

Good clear picture. Too bad it was abandoned as a drinking fountain.
Is anyone interested in restoring it? Far too often we cannot get a drink when we need it. This would be lovely restored.
