Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Carol: Thankful:  Don is home from hospital.  I found him unconscious with head outside on the floor and the rest was in the shower.  At the same moment, one son was walking through the front door to visit.  Two fire trucks came racing in and they took over After 2021-12-29, 22:01:26

Sessions Hill Road is dirt road running through a lot of farm land in Homer, NY. It's really beautiful up there. I took a short drive through it in my truck last winter.

Anyhoo... I got my new lens today, a Sigma 10-20mm, and was itching to try it out. So, I took a trip up Sessions Hill Rd and the several other dirt roads in that area. Here's what I brought home with me.

I had a real hard time keeping my shadow out of those pictures!

Those are perfect! The sky looks almost unreal.

The top picture, the clouds have been well caught radiating out from the tree. The bottom one is the most dynamic of all with three different clouds all paralelling the line of the road, well seen, you should print these big, frame them, and make a triptych of them on your wall.

Thank you. I didn't see the clouds when I was framing my shots. I was more concerned about getting the trees and the road placed well. I always forget to look at everything when shooting something. I didn't even notice the clouds radiating from the tree in the first one. If I had seen that, I might have moved a little to the right to center the clouds a little better over the tree.

Interesting idea about the triptych. I'll have to give it some thought. I haven't made any prints from my photos yet. I'd like to though. I just haven't gotten around to it.

Thanks ScottyBoy. The clouds in the last one look photoshopped in to me. They're not though. I might go back to the RAW file and see if there's a better way to render the photos.
