One of the most brilliant and spectacular sunsets I've ever witnessed, my 400mm lens also made the most of that fireball. Looking nortwest towards the coast from Darwen, God certainly painted that sky.

Wow that is absolutely amazing! What a beautiful scene, what an experience!
Summicron, this is truly spectacular! The time of the ultimate moment in a sunset is so fleeting and you caught it just right.
Wonderful and colorful sunset!!! :)
What kinda camera and lens do you use? I have a 200-500 Tamron and it takes the photos best using a tripod, although handheld can be suitable!
Thank you for sharing. This is a lovely picture.
"Thank you God for this sunset. You are a wonderful painter."
This shot was made using a 400mm Sigma lens on an Olympus Om1 on a Manfrotto tripod, I believe they're retailed under the name Bogen in the USA.
Thank you Summicron-I was just curious-I like knowing what photographers shoot with as to how they captured the photo...just helps me knowing how... :) I know I wouldn't be able to shoot that with the Tamron handheld...Again purdy Sunset!!!
