Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Carol: Thankful:  Don is home from hospital.  I found him unconscious with head outside on the floor and the rest was in the shower.  At the same moment, one son was walking through the front door to visit.  Two fire trucks came racing in and they took over After 2021-12-29, 22:01:26

What a Trojan horse this turned out to be. "Everything works to the good of those who love the Lord," this didn't. I tell a lie there, I got some pretty decent shots out of those sessions.  We got given this bus, several Christians from several fellowships, it just seemed to split, family, friends, and fellowships up, here's Duncan painting the rubber window seals, with rubber paint, to freshen them, the only work I did on that vehicle was some woodwork on the interior. This bus was intended for some big time evangelism in Lancashire, and locally in particular, it went from one Christian group to another, where it is now, anybody's guess, what a circus.

Used a 24mm wide angle lens for this shot, hence the stretched appearance, yes its a double decker, all you bus spotters.

This can happen when people are aiming for their own agenda.   It is too bad when it does happen.

Good picture though

Put it that way, you are right, I didn't know the history of the bus, or how it came to the attention of the Christians who were all going to St Barnabas at the time, but they were trying to flog the idea of a Christian gospel and resource bus to the vicar, and he was having none of it, he was diametrically opposed to open evangelism anyway. So there was a conflict of interests there, most of, if not all the pro bus brigade were on the PCC anyway, some left to go to other fellowships, and a few others, set up and independant fellowship, the bus went to one established fellowship in town, then ended up at the one where some of the church set up their own church, it was used in town center for a while, changed livery, and then went as fast as it came. I've been on that bus once, after all the work was done, and we went to refuel it in Preston.

When you think about it, its good sometimes just to lend a helping hand, and not to want to be up in the place where all the decisions are being made. Perhaps it would have been a greater asset if the bus had been used just for the enjoyment of that group of Christians to have days out, and give out the gospel on a more laid back approach, can't think of the word I'm looking for, instead of having a specific agenda for the bus. i.e. "We'll do great things with this."
