We had a picnic at church to celebrate a graduation for one of our young men from his homeschool education, what a great time of exhortation and encouragement from the Word. Just behind the pavillion where we gathered, this fellow came up much to the joy of all the little boys. He's about a 9 footer, and the local ranger told us he was looking for handouts. Apparently the guests at this state park had been feeding him chicken to get him to come out of the water for photos. That's a bad idea.
But there he was, I had to take a few pictures.

Good picture of him, but I sure wouldn't want to get close. The practice of luring wild animals with food is always dangerous.
You can never trust a wild animal...no matter how tame.
Good picture though.
I agree friends, the park rangers came by to make sure no one was feeding this guy, he was very bold and unafraid of people, which is not a good situation to have in a state park where people gather and little kids roam around by the water.
Can they relocate him? That might be the best idea. That would keep him safe and the people safe.

Well, since this park is natural habitat for these guys and there are hundreds and hundreds of them, they just keep an eye on them. People come here to see them because this park can guarantee you will see many gators. This one just happened to be naughty because people were first naughty by feeding him. We saw 20 more that day. but they weren't begging for food. :)
Well that gives a different picture.
I remember traveling down alligator alley many times and being watched by these guys. I sure wouldn't want to tangle with them.
