Almost missed him...
...but he didn't miss me. I actually nearly stepped on him.
I find chipmunks so sweet.

Pat he is really cute. Where did you find him?
Nice crisp clean lines. I like it.
Pat, this is wonderful! I'm so glad you didn't step on him, and was able to get this shot. He is so sweet. Your photography skills are always impressive.
Years ago, I was hiking on Mt. Rainer, near Seattle, and stopped at the Jackson tourist center. Eating lunch on a bench, I found that the chipmunks in the area expected anyone eating there to share.
"Hey, you! You think this is for free?"
They were so aggressive, it was funny.
We had these (or a very close relative) by the tens up in the mountains when we lived about 25 miles from Lake Tahoe a few years ago. I sat on a bench one time, had one come right up on the bench and sit next to me. He would gladly eat candy bars, carefully unwrapping it first. We named the one Clark Kent, because on one occasion he got an apple the boss had down from the desk, took it clear across the parking lot, and took one bite out of it. We later found it over there.
