I have been busy for quite awhile, so haven't had as much time I would have liked to be on here and out taking birds. So here's a few I have got awhile back.
I hope you enjoy them, as they were a pleasure to photograph.

Thanks for looking, and I hope your enjoyment at looking at them, was the same as mine was when photographing them.
Best regards.
Tim
They are beautiful. I am partial to the first one. Well done.
Thanks Judy,
Yes, the first would be amongst my favourite birds as well. They are so beautiful and they make the most beautiful sounds.
Thankyou.
Tim
You are doing great job!!
Thanks for your encouragment Judy. Really appreciate it.

A few lorikeets got loose near White Rock Lake in Dallas, Texas. They have thrived, and now have a large flock. People living along the lake are unhappy, as they will land in a fruit tree, take a few bites of every fruit on the tree, and then leave.
I also think the first is the nicest. How beautiful! :o
Courtney :rose:
The first one is sweet, but the colors in the second are beautiful, too.
Wondrous creatures of God, those birds. I love watching them, and you've made it possible to watch some I might never have seen. Thank you.
Lovely images - the first one seems so full of himself. :)

I'm partial to the first one too as there is a wonderful dialogue going on between the sharpness of the bird, and the softness of its surroundings, and the contra jour rim lighting on the birds back. The inquisitive pose of the lorikeet is charming and his setting a perfect foil for the bird. The two coots have been caught well, one following the others actions. And the last one, "Speed, I'll show you what speed is mate."
It' like looking at a page of exotic birds...These are lovely!!! :)
Thanks all for your comments, happy that you all found them enjoyable to look at. Australia really is blessed with an abundance of beautiful birds, and I am thankful that I get the chance to see and photograph them. :)
Missed this post until now.
I think I like the first one best also but they are all great shots. Good work Tim!
Don
