I just loved watching the birds with their trainers at the Wild Animal Park, when we were recently there on vacation! So impressive and majestic.

WOW That is one incredible shot!
Was that bird tamed somewhat?
Majestic!
Thanks very much! I have more in different stages of flight. One really neat one where the eagle is flying away from my vantage point. I still like it, though.
I don't know if they are tamed so much as trained. I know that the Wild Animal Park tries to save wounded animals and birds and then puts them in their educational shows, if they can't be re-released back into the wild for whatever reason. They try to keep them as wild as possible. For instance, before they let them fly from one trainer to the other, they let them see the food the other trainer has and if it doesn't fly to them immediately, they turn the bird around so they can't see the food anymore because their window for spotting and catching prey in the wild is small. It was cute to see the birds trying to peek around the trainer to spot the food again. They almost always took right off the second time. Hope that info. helps. :)
That is so exciting to watch.
I have only seen Bald Eagles at a distance and that was driving a truck and they were in the wild, way high up.
Really nice to see Kathleen. I have to find out if there's a place like this around my part of Ontario.
