First time for this guy/gal at the station. I *think* it may be a Blue Bunting female or a male coming into his summer plumage. Anyone? From the Oly.

Thanks very much, Pat. My new lens should be here tomorrow so I should see some improvement.
They are great. My bird book doesn't show any 'in moult'. So I too have no idea.
Looks like a Blue Grosbeak...Whatbird-Blue Grosbeak (http://identify.whatbird.com/obj/207/_/Blue_Grosbeak.aspx)
It does look a lot like the molting picture of Indigo Bunting in my bird book, although the book shows it in full profile. So it's difficult to be absolutely sure.
Great pictures of him and you'll just have to keep track until he's fully feathered so we can all see! :D

THAT'S what I meant... Indigo... sheesh! Half my brain is out looking for the other half! I hope he comes back.
Hey, indigo is blue! I was just using the term from the bird book but blue bunting is just as accurate!

HAHA! I'm sure glad we got that settled! ;D
YOu have such a wide variety of birda in your yard. They are so beautiful. Have you seen bluebirds yet? Have you thought of putting a bluebird box up to encourage them?
It is so cool to see this one though.

One of the best things I've ever done was put up that feeding station, Judy. No bluebirds yet. I would put up a bluebird box but first, I have to find out what one is! heheheh ;D

Aaaaaaaaahhhhh... Yes, I *do* have one up but, perhaps in a bad spot. I'll try relocating it and see what happens. THANKS!
Good Looking forward to those photos!
Juanita, those are fantastic sites! I've just spent so much time at the McGill one.
