Wow! Great capture!
The medical school downtown has a bird rookery set aside in a wooded area. You can walk around the perimeter, and often get great shots of all sorts of waterfowl from the Trinity River. They like nesting there, because they are protected.

Barbarian...love your Egret in flight photo...similar to our swan...Remember when we saw our Concorde planes in the sky, so graceful, sad day when they stopped their flights..I am sure Concorde was based on these graceful inflight birds..
