LOL I read your title wrong!!!

What country are they native to?  He is a fierce looking bird!  Look at that eye.  How tall is he?

They are very large birds, the largest flying bird, in fact.   They live all over the Old World.   Recently, they were re-introduced to England, where they had been extinct since the 1800s.   Big ones are about 3 feet long and about 35 pounds.

They are well-adapted to running, and prefer to run rather than fly.
