These lively little house finches put on quite a show today. Shot with the SP570UZ and TCON.

As usual your pictures are superb. I just love them.
Nice shots gjtoth!
We have something here that looks a lot like these, maybe not quite as much red, and they are the nastiest little birds i have ever seen. They love to nest in hanging baskets and will ruin them. My customers ask me all the time how to get rid of them but it is beyond me.
Don
Thanks, Don & Judy. I have hanging baskets, Don, and they don't seem to bother 'em.
I wonder what your birds are, Don. We have House Finches in Canada and they are lovely little things.
I'd love to see that top of with a different focus. It seems as if the feathers behind the head and front of the bird are in focus but not the face and breast. Not sure what it is.
But to get this close and capture these little birds is wonderful, Gary.

I don't know Pat. I will try and get a shot of one when I can.
The problem we have with them is they deposit their droppings around the outside of the nest and make a terrible mess.
