My wife and I went to Iowa this past weekend to try and get some pictures of eagles.  There are a lot more eagles up there then there are here is Missouri.  We went to Lock and Dam 14 by Le Claire, IA.  This is an eight picture series.  It's just a little fish it caught.  With this just being a baby fish I should post one of the pictures in the "Everything New" Challenge showing how the eagle rescued the baby fish from the water.  :D

Out of curiosity how close were you to the eagle?

Judy I would say the eagle was 50 yards away or so.  Maybe 1/2 of a football field or so.  My lens was 560mm, I was using a 100-400mm lens and had it at 400mm with a 1.4X extender.
