before they found a new nesting home...Their eggs were there one day when I checked, the next they were gone... :(...
Haven't seen the chickadees at the feeders for a cupla weeks, both pairs just stopped coming. Have all kindsa gold & house finches...Saw baby Tuft titmouses and new downy woodpecker...Oh yeah the bluebirds did make another nest in the other nesting box and have laid eggs, when I checked last there were two-three eggs, i just reached in and felt so I'm not sure how many there were...and the hosp haven't been too much around...

I have never seen a mockingbird. I think of the book "To Kill a Mockingbird" when I hear about them. How big is this one? Looks the size of a sparrow in this picture but that can be deceiving.
Well Done Good picture!.
Nice picture!

Great picture, Juanita.
I have a mocking bird nest in my honeysuckle vines. I see the parents coming zooming in and I hear the racket at 5:00 a.m. as they wake up, but I cannot see where the next is. :(
I had one of these wake me up at 1am in the morning singing so loud I thought he was in the room with me. I got up went outside to the tree but could not see him, I would have strangled him if I could have got my hands on him, so I shook the tree and he flew out to another tree and kept right on singing.
I have seen them attack people, cats and snakes. They are fun to watch when they do this.
Don
In Sudbury ON there is a Red Tallied Hawk that attacks people cars and trucks to protect its babies. Silly place to put its nest though, right in the middle of an intersection on an light post!
I have all ways loved mocking birds, and I want one(one day).
