Title: More Sheep
Post by: JimT*1954 on December 03, 2010, 10:10:40 PM
We went out on Turnagain Arm again today.  The wind was howling and I didn't even bother to get out to set up anything.  As it is, the only photos I kept from the outing are marginal at best mostly because I didn't set up my camera for the very low light we had.  The ISO is very high and they're very grainy.

Notice the broken horn on this ewe? I saw another like that one today at the top of the ridge above this one.

This young ram was with the ewe in the previous photo.  He's too young to compete with the big ones.

I caught this young ewe moving through the rocks to catch up with a small groupl

Nice captures, Jim.  It's amazing how they seem to stick to those seemingly sheer mountainsides!

Fantastic pictures.  I would love so see them "live".

I'd love to see them, too, but maybe I'd like it better in the summer....   :D

You ought to come up and see them.  Sometimes they're a little bashful in the summer, but occasionally I've seen them close to the road that time of year.

We've had a pretty mild winter thus far.  It's only been below 0 Fahrenheit  a couple of times, and not too bad then.  If you move around a lot it isn't all that bad... ;D

That isn't a whole lot colder than we have had here.  Would have thought otherwise.

Yeah, but speaking as a "southern boy", it's hard to move around a lot with your posterior frozen to the ground.     Good shots by the way.
