Still playing with the HS-20 w/TCON-17 onboard. Oh, and yeah, I know. I chopped his tail off. ::)

Hi, Don. I've got over 1200mm pointed at that bird through double-pane glass. Yup, I'm using a tripod. The IS system on the HS-20 is good but not THAT good. Standard racked out on the HS-20 is 720mm and I can squeak by most of the time by bracing it against some sort of support. But, add a 1.7X TCON-17 converter that gives me 1224mm and a tripod becomes mandatory.
Anything shot through two layers of glass in my windows would never come out so clear! (Ya think it might help if I washed those windows?)
