Here's a picture of one of the birds on our feeder. I was trying to get some pictures of the birds flying, as they make very good action shots. (I didn't get any)
I did have to crop and enlarge the picture a little to get it the right size.

Oh, Scottyboy,
He's adorable! That's a House Finch. Aren't they fun? I'm working on post processing some new bird pics I took today, right now.
I put up a canary feeder, and the little stinkers went through it in about two weeks, I put two more up yeasterday....God bless em

Good close up, Larryboy!

I could be wrong but your canaries, looking at their markings and such, look just like what I've identified in my yard as American Goldfinches.
I looked at a picture of the American Goldfinch in our encyclopedia, and shutterbugmom is right. They are not Canaries, they are American Goldfinches. They are also our Washington state bird.
Okay, Scottyboy, here are a few from yesterday. I didn't bother to crop the first one. These were fast processing. Didn't want to spend too much time on them. After all, I took these through the window...which needs cleaning. Oh, and I have another of one little guy that's just endearing. I don't have it as a jpeg yet, though.

Great bird pictures! I really like the one of the bird in the tree.
What photo editing program do you use? I use Digital Photo Professional.
Thanks. The one in the tree I've been practicing to get for a while. They are still for such a short time and with the light and the shadow, many times I get silhouettes cause they moved or something.
For initial weeding out, I use Zoombrowser because it's easy to put several pictures up at once and see which is best, especially when I have shot several frames in a row and they are similar. You can sync them and enlarge them and choose the best focused one or whatever.
I use Photoshop CS2 for the rest of my processing. I was going to upgrade to CS3, but I think I will get Lightroom instead because it was made by and for photographers and works along with CS2.
I have used DPP a couple of times, too, but it's been a while. I think that's the one I was using for index printing.
I've been trying to get GIMP for my image editing, but I need to upgrade my Mac program to X11.
