These are all from the E-410. Nice light this morning. I still need to experiment with the exposure. This thing is so fast! I haven't tried it with RAW yet but, I have a feeling it's going to be a whole lot faster than the two SP5xx I had. Focus is almost instantaneous! I think I may be able to get away with just getting a 2x teleconverter to get my reach where I want it.

Nice shots Gary. I think I like the second one best.

Thanks very much, Don. That's my fav, too.
The second one is my favourite as well. Well done. I don't know all the technical stuff but I do know what i like and these I like!
Let us know how your 2x teleconverter works, I've got one on order to go with my new bird lens (which I wished I had yesterday, so many teal, herons and little flitty perchers!). I've head they mess with the auto focus a bit and can be finicky, but I think the extra reach is worth most of the hassles. Our camera is a Canon XSi so with yours it may be no problems.

Thanks, Judy! I think I'm getting the hang of this guy.

I was going to get one of those Canon's but the deal I got on this E-410 was one of those fluke, once-in-a-lifetime-the-guy-needs-money-BAD deals.
I've picked up a Sigma Zoom-K II 20-210mm OM on eBay. I also got the OM-4/3s adapter so, that may do me for now. We'll see. If it doesn't, I'll be shooting for the converter.
Ya need to just get out and SHOOT! Just get as close as you can, sit still for a while, and SHOOT. heheh

I hear ya, problem is our digital has a fairly wide angle lens and if I shoot birds, I can't find them in the panorama. If I get close, I can get almost-good enough pics. We needed a good zoom lens anyway for various things, so it was the push we needed to see all these bird photos!
