I waited over 20 minutes to get this shot.  I have many with him (?) just sitting on the branch.  We had stopped above the river to eat lunch and I saw him sitting there.  I remained poised for the shot and my husband enjoyed his lunch, giving me a bite every now and then.  No doubt the Osprey was also looking for lunch from high in the treetop.

Oh, my!

We have an osprey "nest" or platform built by folks here on top of a telephone pole and I went so often in the summer and saw them feeding their young up there but the sun was never in the right place when I was driving by!

Next summer I will try.

This is just fantastic to see.  And I'm so happy your husband fed you bits of lunch while you waited for the shot!
