What a beautiful picture...The focus on the feathers is is amazing, and that eye, it seems to look right through its prey!
BEAUTIFUL!
Beautiful! Can you just imagine what that beak can accomplish?
I've seen those birds dive from 30-40 feet in the air, snatch up a salmon, and take it off into the distance. Their eyesight is wonderful, and their diving speed and accuracy is fantastic.
I would love to see that!
Another. I like these birds. they are so intense. Really good at flying. Just as The Lord intended.

WoW-nice shots of this beautiful bird!!! :)
Thank you. What do you think of this one? It is not a crop. For some reason my photographs get double entered so I am trying something different. I will repost if this is wrong.

(When you "attach", make sure you click on the menu and choose the one that says "fullsize" and what appears in your posting box is: [attachimg=#] Don't use the one that has a number in it.)
I'm a little slow on the computer. Thanks for the help and the very nice words. God Bless.

Another wonderful picture!! Way to go!
Fantastic photos!
Beautiful photos!
Thank you. The Lord has given me great chances at many awesome subjects. I'm trying hard to develop enough skill to capture them.
Keep on keeping on. You are doing well.

I love your signature. Is that a hymn stanza or a poem?
What camera are you using to capture these birds?
Pat,
My signature just came into my mind. It could be something from past memory or as I like to think, inspired by the Holy Spirit. I wanted something that would honour the Lord. The reason I started taking photographing was to do landscapes with scripture. I have been a little side tracked by wild life. I am in the process of tuning the 15-85 today. My camera just came back from being repaired after a bad fall in December. It took months for me admit that it was broke.
I use a Canon 7D ( thanks to my beautiful wife ) and a 100-400mm for almost everything. I do have a 15-85mm for landscapes.

That is just one beautiful bird. Well done!
Continue with your writings as well. We would like to see more.
I know the difference is pretty subtle, but this is the photograph I meant to post rather than the previous version.

The focus on the feathers in the second one is a little sharper. That is the only difference I can see. Both you have posted are beautiful.
I cloned an unwanted stick and sharpened the image. I am just starting to learn PSE8.
Ok I see the change... Good work.
Excellent! That sick did look out of place.
Lovely birds! And I've got my eye on that 7D, too!
Great shots! Thanks for sharing them. I enjoyed them. :)
