saw this guy today, he favors this tree and I see him once in a while, but he never holds still for long

Is the photo pixelated? 

Quite an interesting bird.  Were you using your tripod?

Hi pat, the pic isnt pixeled on my screen, and this is handheld at 300mm

I guess it was the larger one that I clicked on.  The one showing isn't pixelated.

But maybe it's just my eyes too!  :-\

I wish I could get handheld that clear.  I must use a tripod for lots of my shooting now.

A beauty, captured nicely in it's habitat.  It looks like the point of focus is the wing rather than the eye, but a nice shot, nonetheless.  No large woodpeckers like that around here!
