Title: Red Phase Eastern Screech Owl
Post by: Fotobirder on December 04, 2012, 10:27:41 PM
I had always wanted a photo of A Red phased Screech Owl. It seemed like all I ever saw was the Gray.  But one beautiful Spring day in the North Georgia Mountains, all of that was about to change. I was actually there at my favorite Spring Migration area for Warblers and other Birds. I decided to go back about 10 miles to this nice lake area to have lunch. Before I left, I decided to take a little walk around the Lake to see what I could find. On the way back, I turned and looked into the bush  and couldn't believe what I was seeing. Right out in the open was this Red phase Screech Owl. I was able to take as many photos as I wanted. But I think by looking at his face he wanted me to move on. So I did move on but a much happier Photographer.

Hope you enjoy the photo and may the Lord bless you
