Title: sandhill cranes
Post by: SmokeytheDog on October 10, 2010, 04:09:26 AM
I saw these two sandhill cranes in a field while I was out for a drive on one of my days off last week.

taken at maximum zoom with my fuji finepix 8100

For some reason I can't attach these, so here are the links for the 2 photos. Normally I don't have problems posting facebook sized photos.

Nice images, Glenn.  I have a real fondness for Sandhill Cranes, as we use to manage a ranch in SW Montana where a number of them nested each spring.  There was something really special about the sound they made during breeding season on a cool, foggy spring morning, unlike any other sound!
