Wow I have only seen seals on the TV.  never closeup like this!  How far away were you?  Where was this taken?  Well done!

This photo was taken right beside the Frisco Pier in Frisco, NC. I was about 5-10 feet from the seal. It looked right at me.

Awww, he's so cute.  The first time I saw seals in person was when I went on a cruise to Alaska with a couple of friends.  We saw a bunch of them.  I have pics of them, will post them sometime.

most of my travels have been inland ones. I don't think I have ever seen a seal even from a distance in the wild.
