I spent a wonderful  year in Northern Ireland with Pat and Jack.  While there I discovered a pond, quite a large one, that had a nesting pair of swans.  I went so often that they became somewhat less anxious of my presence and I was able to get quite close to the nest.  That is till the babies hatched.  It was wonderful being that close.  That was a wonderful time in my life.
