Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Carol: Thankful:  Don is home from hospital.  I found him unconscious with head outside on the floor and the rest was in the shower.  At the same moment, one son was walking through the front door to visit.  Two fire trucks came racing in and they took over After 2021-12-29, 22:01:26

Here's a picture of a turkey vulture that I caught flying over-head.  I was looking for bald eagles, but I think they moved on early this year due to it warming up so early this spring.

That is an awesome picture... looking directly into the sky.  They have such a valuable role in the food web.  Without them I am sure we would have many more diseases than we have.

Perhaps when the autumn weather comes you will have the opportunity to photo the bald eagles!

Nice photo.  Would love to see that one larger.

I love to watch them in the morning.   They circle around, looking for thermals to keep them aloft without working hard.   Sometimes, it looks like they do aerobatics for the sheer fun of it.

Nice shot of an interesting species.

A great bird to view from a distance...up close...not so great ... that's one ugly bird :)

Nice shot, Kathleen

Um, ugly is cool, sometimes...

Muscovy duck from lake near my house.    My dad raised these, and from the name, I figured that they were produced as a domesticated breed.   That's not true.  They are native to southern Mexico, and have spread their range in recent years.   They have been domesticated, but this is a wild one.

I agree with ohenry -- they are ugly.

We have lots of turkey vultures here in southeaster Arizona.  In fact, I have to laugh.  We live right beside Fort Huachuca, Arizona and it's a historic Army post.  The "Old Post" is an awesome place and the highest ranking officers live in the very best houses that have been preserved.  Quite a few years ago, they complained so loudly about the turkey vultures nesting in the large oaks, that there was a major campaign to remove them.  I wonder if they would've done anything if it had been privates or lower ranking soldiers complaining.

Love these photos, though.

I suppose it could be a bit unsettling, to have vultures sitting around outside your house.   You mght start wondering if they know something you don't.
