Title: Unicorn?

She was bedded down with an almost mature ram.  She seems pretty contented.  They were both chewing the cud even though blanketed with snow.  This is an older ewe and the broken horn probably happened sometime during a rut.

Beautiful picture...Is that the same eqe that had a broken horn in one of the other pictures?

Judy, I'm really not sure if this is the same ewe or not.  I've seen several different ewes in that area with broken horns.  One had both broken.

It is sad when that happens...are they in any pain?

I would imagine that it hurts at the time of the breakage, but I'm sure they don't feel anything after it heals.
