I was just admiring the beautiful shots of birds that have been posted and thought you might like to see some of the water birds we have here in Australia. I don't know what colour the swans are you have in the U.S. but the swans I have seen in Europe have always been white. Here in Australia we only have Black Swans. The shot of this swan was taken at a lake close to inner Melbourne(Albert Park Lake). We were doing an annual walk around the lake to raise funds for research into a cure for "Juvenile Diabetes".
The other shots were taken at a wildlife sanctuary about 20 miles from my home. It is one of the oldest and most well established sanctuaries we have in Australia, and is highly respected internationally for it's research into our indigenous fauna. It is called "Healesville Sanctuary".
Hope you like the shots.
God Bless,
Rob.

Hi Rob!
(I made your photos larger!)
Those are lovely. Now, do you know the names of the birds? The second and third are intriguing!
And it's so cute to see the little cygnet rigding on Mama's back in the first one.
Thanks so much for sharing. Love them!
These are beautiful, both the image and the subject.

All beautiful birds, a great job with that camera Rob!
Beautiful, just beautiful! Thanks.
Hi Pat,
I finally worked out the name of the two white birds. They are both the same and their name is "Royal Spoonbill".
Wonderful bird images!
Wonderful pictures. Isn't our God amazing to have created such amazingly different wildlife!
Have you any more pictures?
Thanks for the name of the birds.
Wonderful images.
