Title: WESTERN TANAGER
Post by: oneofhis on September 13, 2010, 03:36:21 PM
Taken with the 100-400,[attachimg=#] with poor footing on steep ground, with poor lighting, hand held, standing on my head in a rain storm. I still like it. LOL.

I don't blame you for liking it.  It's a beautiful photograph.  (I believe everything except that you were standing on your head - a slight exageration maybe?  )

Great shot after all that, hahaha! That is a beautiful bird-I'm from the west-namely oregon coast, I don't remember seeing these. But I wasn't into much birdwatching-heard the blue jays which later I found were called scrub jays, goes to show I didn't know much!!! :)
