Janet: Hello, Friends!  Let's get this going again!  I miss  hearing from all of you! 2025-01-23, 19:26:16

Don: Hey Judy, It's been a long time. Hope you are doing well. 2024-12-02, 22:41:41

JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

Janice, I think so often of you and the difficulties y'all are going through. Possibly Hospice could lend you a Hoya lift to help you lift your hubby. It certainly is a help.

Thanks for telling about your experiences with your replaced knee. I'm certainly grateful for my 3 year old one, and hope it outlasts me! :)

Judy, I've had those types of days - they're absolutely NOT fun.

It's also interesting to read about the bread making machines. I don't suppose I'll ever get one, but the idea of making one's own bread certainly is appealing.

Larry, sometimes these computers really give us "fits," don't they.

Y'all have a good day with our Lord.

JudyB ~ Did you find your car keys?  Were they right where you put them?  Did you miss your pocket?

Janet ~ It sounds like you are having Thanksgiving dinners every day while on your cruise!  You sure don't go hungry on a cruise unless you are very picky eater!

Janice ~ I checked out your mini bread maker.  Now I could go for a one-pound loaf maker!  I located two places where they are sold near me.  Just might be an after Christmas present to me!

Gord ~ I doubt if I do much or any Christmas decorating this year.  I seldom have company so no one would see it but me.  If I can find some big red plastic bows, I like to put them on the deck outside.  The ones I have have faded to a pink!

Carol ~ I can't imagine eating outside in Denver for Thanksgiving.  Or eating outside here for Thanksgiving.  It was a nice day here but a little on the cool side.

Let me tell you a funny.....Ivalou has a three year old g-daughter.  She is a no-doubt-about-it red head!  She asked Grandma Sisson if she could play the piano.  She would 'play', jump down, do something else and come back and 'play' some more.  Eventually she got rough...banging the keys hard.  Mommy says 'Kailin!  Don't do that!  You will break Grandma's piano!'  She grabbed Kailin to get her to stop.  Kailin squirmed and said 'I'm a mess!  Put me to bed.  I want a nap!'  Crystal took her to the bedroom and in a matter of a few minutes, Kailin was sound asleep!

Then yesterday...I was at Ivalou's.  Jo and her grandson, Adrian, 4 years old was getting ready to go back to Ohio.  I said I was going to get the mail and would bring back Ivalou's.  Adrian went with me and said, 'I will take Grandma Sisson's to her.'  So he took off running back to the house with her mail.  He went in the house and came right back out.  I was almost to my house and he yelled, 'Wait!  Wait!  I need to give you a hug!'  Well, of course, I waited and got my big hug from Adrian!  My heart smiled!

I see Ivalou is getting her new refrigerator.  I need to get caught up here, eat a bite and go help her get her food from Kaye Don's house!

Judy, I can just imagine how frustrating that might have been when you "lost" your keys. I remember a time when my husband and I went to Lake Louise, and he got out of the van first, went to the back to get something, and closed the back door as I locked and closed the door - and we both realized our only set of keys were still in our van. We had to wait almost 2 hours for CAA to come and help us out. It shortened our visit at Lake Louise, but didn't ruin our holiday. I'm so glad when we go through issues like that, that we are not alone. We have the Lord to help us through them.
I'm praying for everyone as I get to learn more about you. I know that the Lord helps each of us.

:)  Good afternoon to all.  It is a very dull day here and the temperature is not to bad so that is nice.  I don't know if I told you all that I went out and bought my self a new snow blower as the one that I had would not keep running but it did not owe me any money and it is very old.   So Sears had a fantastic sale on and that is where I purchased it.  So I put the old one on Kijiji and I sold it today so now I just hope and pray that we don't get a big snow storm till I get my new one. :coffee:

Betty:  That is a nice area that you live in. Is that where there is a Christian camp for girls as my wife and I have friends who are involved with one.

Larry.  Sounds like you had a wonderful thanksgiving and it must have been good to see your son and to see that he is able to be at work again. Thank the Lord for prayer. :)

Has there been any reports on Al how is his health.. Wellhave a great day and God Bless.   Gordon. :cp:  :bananadance: :pine:

Gord: I'm in Haliburton area in Ontario - is that where you are thinking the camp is? We do have several Christian camps around this area. My husband and I worked at one for about 3 years when we first moved here.

We watched a 4-point buck meander around in back yesterday.  My pictures are not good at all as he was the same color as all of nature.

Etta Sue:  This morning the temperature was almost into the teens.  Clear and frigid.  The mountains are getting the snow.

Betty:  Lake Louise is just an amazingly beautiful place to visit.

Gord Brown

:) Etta Sue.  My niece is married to a  Sisson and they live in Ontario I wonder if they may be related.

Betty: I believe the camp is called Camp Medeba and I can't remember where it is as it  is so long ago.  By the way where are you from before you got married I used to go to Peoples Church in Toronto on Sheppard ave.

Have a good night to all. :cp: :bananadance: :pine: :rocker:

Gord: Believe it or not, my husband and I worked at Camp Medeba for a few years - not a girls' camp though - both boys and girls  :) Now we live on the same lake, in the same area. I was in Burk's Falls before I was married. I have been to People's Church, but only once or twice.

Carol: I agree. Lake Louise is gorgeous. I really enjoy the mountains. But ... I really like our lakes, and hills, and bush, etc. here too.  :)

Have a good night everyone.

Our Ducks won the game 49-21. We finished off out leftover turkey for supper tonight so tomorrow it will be back to eating chicken.  I am getting so tired of chicken and trying to find new ways to prepare it.  I have been pretty creative with my cooking lately. I sure can't wait to cook my first loaf of bread in  my bread machine. I have been reading the instructions and going over them real well so I don't make any mistakes nd wreck my machine.

: :)  Betty when you worked at the camp did you know a girl called Kathleen who worked at the camp but I think she was a camper also a long time ago. She is now married to a John Steadman and I think they still have something to do with it.

This talk about bread being made in these bread machines is making me hungry my wife's father bought us one a long time ago and my wife did use it a lot when we first got it but has not for a long time but there is nothing like the smell of fresh bread in the house. Well must get my med's and try to go to bed soon. again God bless to all.  Gordon and Noreen. :bananadance: :cp: :nanadance:

Good morning from Switzerland!  This is the last of the six countries visited on this trip.  We have a tour coming up in a few minutes' time, so this will be short.  They have already warned us that everything here is expensive, so probably will not be buying much (haven't anyway, in the other places, as we already have too much 'stuff' at home!)  Another country famous for its chocolate, so might have to try that, at least!

Tomorrow we bid farewell to the  SS River Rhapsody and some of the new friends we have made.  25 of us will stay in Lucerne for 4 days, then head home.  We go home on Dec. 2, will get there late in the evening or night.  We are aware there is a problem at the London airport, so may be routed another way going home.  Our tour director will take care of that, so no worries!

Have a wonderful day, wherever you are!

My Christmas Cards are printed, put in envelopes with names on the outside.  I have very few that I mail...most are taken to church or handed to family members.

I have an HP printer.  It was doing fine but low on ink.  I had bought ink at Office Depot not knowing it was refilled cartridges!!  I put black in...ran the alignment...then started printing.  Black was everywhere on the card.  I replaced black with another Office Depot Black.  Says 'damaged cartridge'.  So I am taking them back.

In the meantime, I have the Epsom printer that Kitty gave me.  After running the head cleaner several times, it printed fine.  So I finished the cards.

I made one calender and ran out of Card Stock.  So I am off to Walmart today perhaps to get Card Stock and HP ink!

Ivalou got her new fridge but wasn't to put anything in it until 6-8 hours lapsed.  So today we will get her stuff from Kaye Don's fridge.  Ivalou was also told to NOT eat what was in the freezer even if she can wash off the black and smell.  Glad of that!

I am ready for church.

Larry Hanna

Hi everyone.  We have another warm morning but are being prepared by the weatherman to expect much colder temps, with the possibility of some snow flurries, and quite a bit of rain later today and tomorrow.  Today we will attend church and probably eat out.  Nothing else on the schedule.

Ruth Ann, you are right about the computers.  I will probably apply the procedures to put the Windows files back in factory condition if some other maintenance procedures don't really speed up the computer.

Etta Sue, it wouldn't do for me to have Pat make homemade bread as I dearly enjoy it and don't know when to stop eating it.  We have started using the sandwich rounds now rather than loaf bread for sandwiches and really enjoy them.  Are you getting a lot of rain today?  The weather map sure looks like you all might be getting some heavy rain. Sounds like Kallin is a smart little girl with a mind of her own.

Betty, glad the locking of your keys in your car didn't ruin your vacation day.

Marilyn, glad your team won yesterday.  I have a friend who is from Oregon and is most interested in Oregon.  I watch Georgia beat Georgia Tech yesterday afternoon.  That is a traditional rivalry and Georgia Tech has lost nine of the last ten meeting.

Gord, good for you in getting a new snow blower.  I expect it gets good use up your way.  Fortunately there is no market for them in my area.  :)

Carol, on occasion we have seen deer and deer tracks in our back yard.  One Christmas eve I was returning home and a couple of deer were out on our street.

Janet, I know you hate to see your trip winding down but it sounds like you have some wonderful memories.  Enjoy the chocolate.  I hadn't heard of the problem at the London airport.

:)  Well my wife and I are about to leave for church.  Then we have to leave early from church as the choir that I sing in has its last performance for this year and it is about a two hour drive to one of our bridesmaids house and she is having us for lunch then I will continue to practice and they will come for the performance so it will be a busy day and a long day but God is so good and serving him in this choir is so good.

Have a great day.   Gordon and Noreen :) :cp: :bananadance: :pine: :rocker:

Carol

I am a mess this morning from a terrible lack of sleep and now a birthday party this afternoon for a quilting friend (expert & writer of books) who is 80 years young today.

News on Al continues at a good pace.  Rehab should speed up the healing.  It does sound like he is getting good care.

Grandson has a letter jacket now with band and swimming on it.  He could have had tennis as well but dropped that sport.

Our cell phone and home phone are not working.  We hear the ringing and no one is there.
