Janet: Hello, Friends!  Let's get this going again!  I miss  hearing from all of you! 2025-01-23, 19:26:16

Don: Hey Judy, It's been a long time. Hope you are doing well. 2024-12-02, 22:41:41

JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

Carol: My husband Don is with the angels.....Our family was able to hold  ourselves together for the last moments.  Juar rhoufhr you might want to know. 2022-04-29, 23:35:15

Hi everyone.  It looks like this will be a pretty quiet day. Just back from coffee at the Senior Center.  This is ROMEO's luncheon day at 11:30 and I will go to the Olive Garden for lunch with men from my church.  As far as I know that will be it for today.  We did go out for dinner last evening as we just didn't feel like cooking.  We were going to the Pancake House for one of their delicious hamburgers but when we got there we found they now close at 3 pm.  So we went to the Mexican restuarant next door and had a very good dinner.  It was even better because we had a coupon for a buy one-get one free dinner and it made it reasonable.

Etta Sue, the last time we visited my sister and BIL in northern Iowa we went on a tour of the surrounding area to see the Wind Turbines in their county and across the line in Minnesota.  They are really large.  The community college in their town of Esterville, Iowa teaches course related to the Wind Turbines and had one on the group that you could go up to.  It is much bigger than it looks from the ground as it is working.  It sounds like you had a nice day trip.

Judy, glad you didn't get damage from the hurricane related effects.  Sure hope you don't get icing.

Jeanne, did you get hold of your cousin in New York city?  The situation where they can't get gas and have no electricity sounds very dire.  There is also looting going on but we don't hear much about it on the main news channels.

Janet

Larry, the bias of the main stream media is just overwhelming!  If Americans were to be told the TRUTH of things, the election wouldn't even be close!  It is heartbreaking what the folks in the Northeast are enduring right now.  We just saw a report from Staten Island, and there are still people sitting on their rooftops, waiting for help!  And one hour of "photo ops" doesn't constitute help, in my opinion.  (Okay, off my soapbox now.)

I have been out for my 3 1/2 mile walk, will soon go to Pat's so she can color my hair.  Must think about packing, as we leave early Monday for Branson.  I'm looking forward to seeing "Joseph" at the Sight and Sound theater.

It was chilly when I walked, but is to warm up nicely again.  We'd better enjoy it while it lasts.

I 'ave a code in ma node!!  My eyes ar' watry!  I cant breeve!

I thought I was better last evening but the night must have done me in!  I woke up with all the symptoms of a full blown (no pun intended) cold!!

Glad I don't have anywhere to go to today!

I finally got 20 of my zoo pictures on my Droid.  I thought I could copy them from the computer to Droid by way of a card reader with the mini card from Droid in the reader.  My laptop wouldn't recognize the card reader...Laptop?  Reader?  Even tried it on the desktop...nada!  So I emailed them to my gmail account.  Finally got them!!  Now I can show people some of my zoo pictures with the phone!

Looks to be a nice day today in Indiana.  Sunny and a few wispy clouds to the north.  There is a little bit of wind but not much.  All my leaves are gone from the trees but there are still some hanging onto the bushes!   At least it is still brown and green out there.  Not that pale stuff!

I am missing Ivalou.  Seems like it should be Saturday but it is Friday, right?

Anyone out there agree?  Will you be glad when Tuesday is over?

For sure, Etta Sue, I will be glad to hear the last of the political junk, but may be far less than happy, if the wrong one wins!!  PRAY, PRAY, PRAY!!!
Sorry about the cold.  Darrel seems to be getting one, too, so I went and got him some Zicam, hope it helps.  He doesn't need a cold to take along on the trip to Branson!

Beautiful day here in the SW corner of Kansas!

Janet:  I am at the point of thinking that we will be alright if we are right with God.  We can endure just about anything.

Well, as I say that .... two men are making the worst noise taking apart two bathrooms.  Not completely. - One speaks no English and the other hasn't understood me... he was about to take up my living room carpet and the carpet on the stairs.  Next, he was taking apart the entire bath cabinet.... no, just the mirror and counter top.  He yells, OK down the hallway and I have to see what he wants ..but I did not answer to the whistle.

I just listened to the book, Unspoken and it is such a testament of faith.  It is long and very rough about WWII but truly worth the effort of reading.

HELP!!! Please pray with and for me.  Marbeth is hurting (back, neck, head).  We've been to the chiropractor, and it seemed ok for a while, but not now.  pray we'll know what to do.  Pray for healing.  I still cannot walk around, etc. on account of these legs.  With both of us down, it gets impossible.

Janet

Al, prayers for both you and Marbeth.  Please try not to get discouraged (easy to say, hard to do!)  Just know God does love you both and He wants you well.

Carol, I fully agree.  I believe we will have to go through some rough stuff before we are called upward, and pray we will (especially ME) have the courage, faith and strength to endure it, while continuing to live for HIM.  That sounds like a book I would like to read.  There are SO many stories from WWII, and probably as many yet untold!  It was such a horrible war.  Sorry your workmen are such a pain, getting good help is getting harder all the time!

My tummy is really grouchy this morning, I don't know what it's complaining about.

Maybe I will get out a suitcase today and think about packing a few things.  ;)

Maybe the Lord will come before the Tuesday elections!  Wouldn't that be GREAT?

But if we are still here, it's not only the federal slate that's a concern.  Even our local candidates have been unable to do anything other than bash the opponents.  I'll be going to the polls still trying to decide which one has made the most outrageous claims against another...  I can only pray the Lord will direct my fingers to the one HE wants.

Al, I know it must be extra hard for you and Marbeth when you are both "under the weather".  I'm praying for healing for you both.

Hi everyone.  It looks like it is going to be a lovely day here in Georgia.  I am just back from coffee at McDonald's and a trip to the post office to mail a couple of packages and get some stamps.  In a little bit I will go to a meeting.  I had a coupon for a free meal at McDonald's so used it to bring Pat her breakfast.  I am looking forward to watching some college football this afternoon.  Georgia doesn't play until 4 pm so I will have plenty of time for may nap after lunch.

Janet, I agree with you on the media bias and photo ops.  I couldn't believe that the mayor of New York was going to go ahead an allow the marathon race and was glad to see he caved to pressure and cancelled it for today.  I haven't heard of the show "Joseph" in Branson.  Will you be seeing several shows.

Etta Sue, sorry to see that your cold is worse.  Our leaves are only now beginning to come off the trees.  We still haven't had a frost.

Carol, I read an interesting commentary this morning by one of the political writers on Red State name Eric Erickson, who is also now on WSB radio.  He is obviously a Christian and while he wants the election to go one way he recognizes these things are all a part of God's plan for this world.  (If anyone is interested in reading this commentary just let me know and I can forward the email I got this morning.)  Sounds like your home was really being torn up yesterday.  We need to get our carpet cleaned but it has worn very well and I don't anticipate replacing it anytime soon.

Al, I will pray for both you and Marbeth.

Jeanne, I saw on Fox Business network an ad for a Mass. congressman.  It was so unusal as it was just a beautiful scenery scene and nice music and words about being tired of all the political bashing.  He said it has gone viral on the Internet.

Janet

Larry, I would like to read the email you mentioned.  Thanks.  The play "JOSEPH" is performed in the huge Sight and Sound Theater.  It is done by a Christian group (maybe Mennonite?) and the first theater was built in Amish country in Lancaster County, Pa.  We went there while on that trip, and enjoyed it so much!  Then we saw "Noah" twice in the theater they built in Branson.  They do a wonderful job, with all kinds of sound effects, moving sets, etc.  It is amazing!
And yes, we will be seeing two shows a day for the three days we are there.

Like you, I was relieved when the NY marathon was canceled--at the last minute. I couldn't believe the mayor was even considering going ahead with it!

Jeanne, I agree, it would be wonderful if the Lord came before Tuesday!  :) 8)  We voted about ten days ago, with not one second's hesitation!  But not a one of our local ones were contested, so that made it easier on those!

Al:  You and Marbeth lead the pack in prayers right this minute.

Marilyn:  I could not get to the AZ site on your email.  We have taken CPR several times over the years but everything does change for the better in the teachings.

Otherwise, I cannot keep up with emails from friends and relatives.  Sorry, I just feel overwhelmed at times and keep on doing what is important.

Larry:  Send on that information.... must make time for what is important in life.  Thank you.

Off to buy rods for bathrooms, a little fabric for a table runner I must make for a Christmas exchange.  They broke a little off the mirror I wanted saved yesterday so now I am going to fix it and make a wood frame for it so it still can be used.  The workmen left a pile of junk in our neighbor's yard and he said, Manana, while pointing to it.   :coffee:

Janet:  Have a lovely time when you are in Branson.  Don always wanted to go there and now with his hearing distortion, it would not be possible.  Please do read the book I mentioned, "Unspoken".  You will be happy to read the end.

Janet

Carol, where can I get the book?  It would be nice to have it on CD to listen instead of reading.  Sorry about the mess the guys left--and in the neighbors' yard, to boot! :idiot:

OH!  I ordered an ebook reader, found one for $25, refurbished.  So I thought that will get me used to using one, then maybe I will upgrade.  This one does have wifi.  It isn't here yet, but I did get noticed it has been shipped.

Marilyn, the link didn't work for me, either.

My cold is still with me.  Eyes watering.  Nose stuffy.  Sneezing.  Head congested.  But my throat isn't sore!!  This all started Tuesday evening so I will be having symptoms at least a week to 10 days!  Nothing cures a cold...you just take meds to be more comfortable.

Marilyn, your link didn't work for me either.

Al, prayers are for you and Marbeth for better mobility!  You have to be able to take care of each other!!

Janet, is 'Joseph' the Joseph and his colorful coat?  I have seen that locally at our high school and at Beef and Boards!  Great show! Wish I were going to Branson.  Love those shows!

Carol, hope your men do a better job than my tree trimmers did.  And I could understand them and they me!!

Jeanne, I, too, wish that Christ would return soon.  I have been studying Revelation...I understand it better but some parts are still foggy to me.  144,000, 3 and half years, Millenium still frazzles me.  I just have to believe that since I believe in Christ Jesus, that I will go to heaven in an instant, like Christ Jesus returned in an instant.

I slept so hard last night.  I woke up on my back and I seldom sleep on my back.  I am so glad that if I have to get a cold that it was while I wasn't taking care of Ivalou.  She doesn't need my cold!  She is coming back today or tomorrow...not sure.  I just knows that she has a doctor appointment Monday at 9:40am.  I have a dentist appointment at 10:20am so can't take her.  (Ivalou wouldn't let me change my appointment)  Jane is going to take her but Ivalou wants me to come help her get dressed.  Have you tried getting dressed with one good arm...and remember her good arm is the one she can't use much...so have you tried getting dressed with two one bad arms??

It is rainy and gloomy today.  No sunshine in Indiana.  I was wishing the farmer would get the corn from the field across from me but not yet!

I have already changed my clocks....don't forget to change your clocks!!

:)  :)  :)  :)  :)  :)  :)  :)  :)  :)  :)  :)  :)  :)  :)  :)  :)  :)  :)  :)

The link for the Az site that was in Marilyn's email is messed up by all the << so I copied it into my browser and then copied that so..... here it is:

Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass .... it's about learning to dance in the rain!

Carol

Thanks for the link.  That is what we learned in Arizona.  We also had the class on using the defibrillator that is available in public places.

We took our grandchildren to Joseph and now I realize it was years ago.  They also sat with us at Cats.  Joseph was amazing and I used to play the songs from Cats in the car over and over.

Back from non-shopping.  What a waste of time.  We have to order from the internet which means we will have to hand all the rods ourselves.  It wasn't a totally wasted trip because we have not been to a Krispie Kreme for years and decided to go in for coffee and doughnut.  Free doughnuts, nice and hot.  So sinful and so good  ^-^

Carol

Janet:  It is at the library and here they have CD recordings as well.  I downloaded the audio book to my iPod but am sure it is at your local library - the author also wrote Seabiscuit.  While you are there, ask if they have any Lee Strobel books, he is speaking at our church often and I just love his message.

Janet

Carol, I have heard Lee Strobel on TV, --he's the onewho set outto prove Jesus wasn't who He said He was, right?  Great that you can hear him in person!  I will check for the book at the library.  Must scroll back up to find the title.

Yes, Etta Sue, that't the right Joseph, the one with the coat of many colors.  Can't wait to see the show!  And if you can find End Times Prophecy on TV where you live, it will help you understand Revelations.  Did you know there is a special reward for those who read that book?  How cool is that?  8)  It is on TBN here, Wednesday night.

Jane, thanks for the link.  I want to copy it and send it on to others.  Who knows whose  life may be saved just by that information?

I am going to the Festival of Trees tonight at our museum.  It is put on by the hospital auxiliary, and I have never been before, so will tell you more after I know more! ;)  I attended the funeral service this afternoon of a dear lady who had been a resident of the care home for a number of years.  Christine's family did a lot of the service, which was really nice.
