Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Morning Devotional...

Trials and Pain:
The Sharp Blade of the Plow

Sow for yourselves righteousness; reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground, for it is time to seek the Lord, till He comes and rains righteousness on you.
--Hosea 10:12

The fallow field is smug, contented, protected from the shock of the plow and the agitation of the harrow.... But it is paying a terrible price for its tranquility: Never does it see the miracle of growth; never does it feel the motions of mounting life nor see the wonders of bursting seed nor the beauty of ripening grain. Fruit it can never know because it is afraid of the plow and the harrow.

In direct opposite to this, the cultivated field has yielded itself to the adventure of living. The protecting fence has opened to admit the plow, and the plow has come as plows always come, practical, cruel, business-like and in a hurry. Peace has been shattered by the shouting farmer and the rattle of machinery. The field has felt the travail of change; it has been upset, turned over, bruised and broken, but its rewards come hard upon its labors. The seed shoots up into the daylight its miracle of life, curious, exploring the new world above it. All over the field the hand of God is at work in the age-old and ever renewed service of creation. New things are born, to grow, mature, and consummate the grand prophecy latent in the seed when it entered the ground. Nature's wonders follow the plow.
Paths to Power, 31-32.

"Lord, make me a cultivated field.
I suspect the price will be high,
but I long to bear fruit for Your glory.
Do the hard work of the farmer in my life today.
Amen."

GOOD MORNING ALL     10.05AM

Pat thank you this morning also for the devotional
also for the hymn yesterday and the nice photo's
from you and Judy Mc.  You booth have had a lot fun. :)

In hole Holland there is coming on 1-4-2004 a fusion between 3 kinds of Protestant churches. Also the church where i am going is in the fusion. There are then in hole Holland 2 1\2 million members of the new church. The church also get a new name. But also the Luthern church is going in the fusion there are in Holland 16000 people in Holland
who are going to a Luthern church. But a lot people of
the Protestant churches they don't like the Luthern
church. They are afraid that a lot people no more are going to the new church. Then there is coming a split
in the new church. The name of the new church is PKN
Protestant church (kerk) Netherlands.

Have you any room for Jesus
He who bore your load of sin?
As He knocks and ask admission,
Sinner, will you let Him in?

I wish you all a BLESSED DAY

Jenny ~ Thank you for the comment on the graphics.  The ornament was made in my PSP 8 lessons.  Might as well use them!!!  I agree with Sonja....what is an iron?

Marilyn ~ That will be wonderful to have our Mieka back in the states with us!!!  Whoo-eeeee!

Sonja ~ I have two irons....but I don't use either one.  I look at labels....no ironing...no dry cleaning for me!

Al ~ The little Christmas tree is from a friend on SrNet.  She sends me all kinds ot 'kitty' things!!!  She is my neighbor, too.  Lives west of me near the state line.  But I did meet her in Calgary.

Jeanne ~ Thank God that God was in the driver's seat.  From youR description, it sounds like Gene and the other man was very calm througout the 'accident'.  Another sign of God's presence.

Nita ~ We still have time to do stuff before Jesus' Birthday.  I just remembered this morning or finally realized that I need to get my Christmas Cards addresses and out.  Jerry's son, DIL and G-son is coming from Italy.  Will be in the States the 17th.  They will be coming here but not sure when.  I sure don't want to have things to do while they are here.  Want to spoil that little 4-month old!!!

Judy Mc ~ Glad to see your posts.  Rags sounds cute even if she does tear up Kleenex's.

Sarah ~ Sorry about your game.  But you know the old cliche?  Ya can't win 'em all!!

Nards & Karma ~ I am praying that this new day bring all your little family good health!!!

HaPpY BiRtHdAy ZaChArY!!!!!
Dark and gloomy today.  Predicting snow maybe tonight, tomorrow and tomorrow night.  We haven't had any accumulation so far this year and here it is, the middle of December.  I must get started AND finish my Christmas cards!!!!

Good Morning. Still pouring rain here don't expect  it to be any different any time soon.

Pat thanks for the devotion this morning and the pretty graphics Pat and Etta Sue. One of these day I just may learn to use my PSP 8 too. Maybe while I am recouperating after my surgery.

I have been in all the other forums here reading and looking at photos etc. Those are great [photos of the Winter Faire and of Lauren, Pat.

Nards really gave you an indepth study on Christian Music, Sonja. Very informative.

Pat did you get those photos I sent you from Alan a couple of weeks ago. The ones of the Fungi and one of his walks?

Going tocheck my email now.

It's a blustery, cold, wet, wintry day here on the Oregon Coast ... I don't plan to be out in it for long today, but I will need to take the bulletins over to the church so, while I'm out, I'll probably do a little shopping.  My cupboard is looking a little bare.   :-\

I trust each of you will have a wonderful day in your  corner of the world and a most glorious day with the Lord.

Well Sonja, about that gift. You see It had arrived inthe mail and was still in the envelope it arrived in since I had instructions not to open it until Christmas. There were two gifts and a card inthe envelope. One was totally unwrapped and collector's thimble. The other is still wrapped and waiting for Christmas morning. Bebe just shredded the outside envelope.

Good morning my Christian brothers and sisters........

Please take a moment to digest Ria's last post.  Do you recognize what's happening?

Ria.............

You wrote [in part]: "In hole Holland there is coming on 1-4-2004 a fusion between 3 kinds of Protestant churches."  This, Ria, is one of the most powerful and prophetic writings I've read coming from your part of the world (Aside from those occuring in Israel today).  Do you recognize that your churches are among the beginnings of our Lord's prophesying of the One World Church in the End Times?
There is a very strong movement here in the USA pushing toward that very goal.  Exciting Ria, very exciting.[/b]

karmat

HI all.  Just bouncing in for a minute before we leave to go to a family Christmas get together.  Hope I make it throughthe whole thing.  ::)

Yeesh, I hate being sick.  Just in case you wonder.

I hear Nard pouncing about now, so it is time to go.

Back later!!  (Hopefully with pictures)

Hey, everybody!  I'm home!  Did you miss me?  No?   :'(

Well, I'm here anyway!  And so thankful to be here, too!  I had an experience related to Gene's!  On the way to Dodge yesterday, I had been following a really long horsetrailer (for four hourses, plus living space for the owners, pulled behind a crew cab pickup; so it was a LONG rig!)  It had been covering me up with snow, and I was tired of following it.  It finally cleared up enough that I could see ahead, so I started to pass him, and there came a big semi!  When I tapped my brakes to lessen my speed and get back behing the trailer......whoosh!  We were down a steep embankment and in the bottome of the ditch!  I prayed all the way down "help us, Lord, please help us!" and got stopped just before we would have gone into a drainage ditch with a big culvert.

I was perfecty calm, Beth wasn't making a sound......I got out, looked the situation over and decided I should be able to back up far enough to where the bank leveled out enough to drive back up onto the highway.  I tried that a few times......could go forward easily, but not back very well.  A car stopped up on the highway and the lady asked me if I had a cell phone.  I did have Darrel's, she asked where I was from and I told her.  Too far to call home for help.  Anyway, her husband got out of the car and asked me if I'd like for him to drive my car out of there.  I said "I would sure let you!"  So he did!  I was sure praising the Lord for our safety, for the kind couple's help (found out they know my daughter and son in law, Abby's parents)  And I prayed for God to bless them really good, in a special way, for their kindness.

I don't like driving on ice!  In the snow!  Especailly behind something too big to see around!  >:( :(  But I sure like serving a God who numbers the very hairs on our heads, and keeps us in all our ways.  THANK YOU AGAIN, GOD!!  I LOVE YOU!!!

This is getting too long, so I will go look at your new photos and come back and chat more later!

Lee, I thought the same thing when I read dear Ria's post!  And I heard on the radio today that the European Union are having trouble coming to agreement on their constitution.  But they will do it........the end draws near!

Pat

I'm not going to read posts right now as I'm in Toronto at Ruthie's house and we're getting ready for the dinner tonight.

It wasn't too bad driving in.  Good to get here.
