JennyW: Hello Janet! I check every day. I wish everyone would get going again! I miss seeing pictures and reading posts! 2025-01-24, 06:54:04

Janet: Hello, Friends!  Let's get this going again!  I miss  hearing from all of you! 2025-01-23, 19:26:16

Don: Hey Judy, It's been a long time. Hope you are doing well. 2024-12-02, 22:41:41

JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

Carol: My husband Don is with the angels.....Our family was able to hold  ourselves together for the last moments.  Juar rhoufhr you might want to know. 2022-04-29, 23:35:15

I am having trouble with my email program again can't send any out. Bummer, ncoming is fine. II have been through the troubleshooting and still not working. Frustrated now at all the time I spent working on it.

I heard just now on the news that the sea is going to be having 25-30 foot waves and the winds to 50 mph.  I wonder if I should take down the bird feeder until the wind is over. ??? ???

Al:   Looking back I noticed your question addressed to Ruth Ann well I think it was for me. I have been driving a School Bus for coming up 34 yrs. a morning trip to take the children to school and then the afternoon trip to return the children home and the time in between I usually go home to do what is needed.  Tomorrow morning (every Wednesday unless something comes up) some of my co-workers will have breakfast together before going home. In fact on a very recent meeting we spent most of the time sharing our beliefs.

Some of you will say my that is a long time, my reason for starting in the first place was that we had a frig. & stove that needed to be paid for and the years just kept adding up.  Our sons health also made it difficult for me to look for a full time position as daycare would have been a problem and also my husband wanted that I be a stay at home mom.

Hello all!

In an odd turn of events, Bernard and I were faced with the reality of death today.  :'(  His grandfather, Papaw Wheeler (Thara Acie Wheeler) passed away about 6:30 eastern time, tonight.  It is a happy occassion and a sad one both.  Sad because he was a beautiful man and a dear saint, but happy because I bet he is running the streets of gold right now!!  woohoo!!!!  He had been sick for quite a while, and to know that he is no longer suffering or sick is wonderful.

Remember the other day when we were discussing the difference between fundamentalist and evangelical?  Well, Papaw was one of the most staunch fundamentalist that I have ever known.   Yet, when he preached (I only heard him a few times as his health prevented him from taking the pulpit much), he didn't preach like a lot of the fundamentalist preachers around here do.  They are all about telling you what they believe and pounding it down as gospel.  Papaw didn't do that.  He was Jesus-based.

Based on his personal testimony, and the fruit of his life, he is in Heaven right now!!!!!

So, any way, please forgive Nards and I if we aren't around much the next couple of days.  Deaths are still "celebrated" much like they were in the "old days" here in the Appalachian mountains.  We will probably spend the better part of the next two or three days (until the funeral) at either Papaw's house, or one of the kid's houses.   We will have lots and lots of food from area churches.  We will have "receiving friends" or visitation either one night or just before the funeral.  etc. etc. etc.
(I only explain that because I have found that what is so ordinary to us-uns is completely foreign to other parts of the country).

Anyway.  Please pray for us (especially Bernard's mom, it was her dad), and we will be in here when we can!

G'mornin' y'all.  It isn't raining at the moment!  Summer's just around the corner!
Ruth Ann - I have a question for you.  You speak of going to work, coming back from work, much work, little work - what is your work?  I'm so curious.  It will get me a cat's reward, I think.

Al, I'm a data analyst who can't retire yet because of needing insurance coverage for medical care and prescriptions.

Most difficult week last week - a file got corrupted and my boss HAD to meet with the top level executives at a client's office 3-hours drive away from his home at breakfast on Monday. So, you-know-who worked many long hours to recreate that file.

I'm very thankful that I can print to a color printer in Detroit from my desk in Nashville. That's how I got the reports printed out for him on Sunday night. When he got to the office at 4 am, he made b/w copies for himself, and was on his way.

Retirement certainly looks enticing - maybe a year from February - ooops! that's only a year from this month, isn't it!

Ruth Ann

Well got to get

Bye for now. Judy

Judy, that's so good.  Glad it was just a fuse.  I remember things like this up in the Maple house with that massive furnace and then at the farm everything was breaking down.  Not nice.

Great that Melaura could fix it.

GOOD FOR YOU MELAURA!!!

Nards and Karma, we will be remembering you and the whole family during the coming days.  Isn't it wonderful not to have to wonder where Papaw is now?  God is SO good!

Jentzen Franklin is on TBN and he is so good.....I am getting off here to listen to him now.

Talk to y'all tomorrow!

Oh, Karma and Nards!

I'm so very sorry to read this.  Somehow I missed your post and saw Janet's to you and had to go back.  I have a neighbour in here right now but he's on the phone so thought I'd come and check the posts.

Thank you Pat for the devotional and that lovely song.   Tonight my footsteps led me to another apartment building and my team spoke to a young fellow standing in his doorway for 1 1/2 hours.   In the beginning he said he believed in evolution and wasn't sure about the Bible.  In the end he came right out in the hall and after asking some hard questions he said YES TO JESUS!

Please pray for Anyolfi from the Dominican Republic.  He needs your prayer to grow in his new found faith.  We are going to follow up and have him read the Bible, pray and fellowship with people his own age at the church.   We asked him if there was someone he could tell about what he had just done and he said "Yes, I will tell my brother".   Needless to say we were all very excited about this divine appointment.

I am so happy to be able to tell my CP brothers and sisters about my EE experiences.   God Bless
